I did not want to say anything but feel I must. My dog was diagnosed about three years ago with Cushings Disease. After all the tests he was able to take medicine for his condition. After blood tests his meds were regulated and was doing great. It's been 2 1/2 years since his diagnosis and he just passed away from very low iron, severely Anemic. Dr. Jen and Dr. B are so very nice and so is the staff BUT they should have been monitoring his blood. No blood tests were ordered to check since his initial blood tests 2 1/2 years ago. If they had it could have shown his levels changing and he may have been saved. I feel they dropped the ball on his care.

When my pup wasn't feeling good I started looking for a new vet. My old vet was good, but super expensive. After hearing from some friends and Yelp I decided on Balasky. My experience here was great, everyone was friendly and welcoming. After the exam and testing we found out what was wrong and were given medication. The prices here are very good and they don't do unnecessary testing. I highly recommend them as a vet if you're looking for one.

Disclaimer: I have conversed with my dog Vida to get her blessing before writing this review :)I don't trust my dog with just anyone... Dr. Dingfelder and his staff are probably the best in the country. We are originally from Seattle and couldn't be more happy we found this place in Fort Lauderdale our new home. Dr. Dingfelder always brings himself level with my dog; and if that means sitting on the floor, he just does. He always makes dogs feel good/comfortable -even when it is exam time. I will never go anywhere else!

We just left today, my dog saw Dr Dingfelder - I couldn't be happier with his professionalism, attitude, bedside manners and friendliness. I have been coming here for years and all of my dogs are under the care of Dr Jennifer Ballasky.She is an amazing veterinarian, has a sense of humor, great bedside manner, and not to mention she is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. She is conservative in her approach and says it just the way it is. She has been spot on with her diagnosis's and I bring all 4 of my dogs here. I travel far to this place because I know I'm in such good hands and the office staff are extremely polite and professional.

Dr Balasky and Dr Dingfelder are 2nd to none. They are both the most caring, smart, and compassionate vets I've met. They've gone above and beyond to help me with my Doberman Ace. We incidentally found a tumor in my dogs leg. He referred me to Dr. her again to get biopsies done. The first one came back inconclusive so I needed to go back for a second. The biopsy was $1500 and I just wasn't in the position to get the second one done right away. Dr. Dingfelder took it upon himself to contact Dr. Horgon to try to help me out with pricing. Dr. Horgan called me and they worked something out for me. I will be forever greatful! Truly an amazing group!!! OH AND SO REASONABLE with pricing!

The staff is very professional and kind to my dog every time we visit for check-ups or illnesses. They have wonderful customer service and always give great care for your animals.

When I picked my dog up from the vet, I was greeted with warm smiles, and kindness from the staff . When I saw my dog, he was back to his normal self walking and running again. Putting him down was the hardest decision I have ever made, but knowing that you guys were there and that he went in peace aleviates my heartache. Due to a bad experience at an entirely different vets office we had a fear of taking our girls to the vet. It had been two years, well past their due date. Our oldest girl got something in her eye and that was a sign we needed to bring the girls in. The office wasn't aware of our fear of vets but treated us with kindness and compassion, and plenty of treats for my snack lover, and our nervous wreck! And the best part didn't try to oversell us on things our girls don't need. Our last vet said our oldest "NEEDED" her teeth cleaned (which is what caused the problem with the last vet, and they never cleaned them). We give our girls bones and chews to help keep their teeth in good shape, Dr Dingfelder was amazed at how great of shape their teeth were in, no overselling of things we don't need, just so they could make money. Took care of our girls and brought back our faith in vets again, and Dr Dingfelder has a great disposition, and great sense of humor. I'm glad they came highly recommended to us. We'll see them again next year!

Cathy the office manager is incredibly helpful from start to end and I honestly felt like my cat Bailey (13 years old) and Earl (3 years old) received a THOROUGH exam. Dr.Dingfelder is so personable and makes you feel at ease! Too often we take our pets in their most fragile moments to a place and leave without peace of mind! Dr. Jen gave me a clear understanding of what my cats ailment was and helped me find the next step to his recovery! So grateful to find people who truly care for animals!

Dr. Dingfelder was unbelievably patient with me, offered me options and wanted what was best for my dog as well as my sanity. I never wright reviews, but I just could not stand by and not give my opinion. He helped my very sick dog like it was his own. My Ralphy passed away with Dr. D's help and gentleness. He sent me a sympathy card stating how sorry he was and how much he became attached with Ralphy. What doctor does that? I wish I could go to Dr. Dingfelder and Dr. Balasky as my own doctors they are the greatest.

I did not want to say anything but feel I must. My dog was diagnosed about three years ago with Cushings Disease. After all the tests he was able to take medicine for his condition. After blood tests his meds were regulated and was doing great. It's been 2 1/2 years since his diagnosis and he just passed away from very low iron, severely Anemic. Dr. Jen and Dr. B are so very nice and so is the staff BUT they should have been monitoring his blood. No blood tests were ordered to check since his initial blood tests 2 1/2 years ago. If they had it could have shown his levels changing and he may have been saved. I feel they dropped the ball on his care.

When my pup wasn't feeling good I started looking for a new vet. My old vet was good, but super expensive. After hearing from some friends and Yelp I decided on Balasky. My experience here was great, everyone was friendly and welcoming. After the exam and testing we found out what was wrong and were given medication. The prices here are very good and they don't do unnecessary testing. I highly recommend them as a vet if you're looking for one.

He had my dogs best interest in mind and didnt try to upsell me on anything. Dr. Balasky and all of his staff were very friendly and extremely patient with my many questions. Disclaimer: I have conversed with my dog Vida to get her blessing before writing this review :)I don't trust my dog with just anyone... Dr. Dingfelder and his staff are probably the best in the country. We are originally from Seattle and couldn't be more happy we found this place in Fort Lauderdale our new home. Dr. Dingfelder always brings himself level with my dog; and if that means sitting on the floor, he just does. He always makes dogs feel good/comfortable -even when it is exam time. I will never go anywhere else!

After a bad experience with another animal hospital in the area, I searched for a better option and decided to try Balasky Animal Hospital for my dog's needs. We just left today, my dog saw Dr Dingfelder - I couldn't be happier with his professionalism, attitude, bedside manners and friendliness. I have been coming here for years and all of my dogs are under the care of Dr Jennifer Ballasky.She is an amazing veterinarian, has a sense of humor, great bedside manner, and not to mention she is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. She is conservative in her approach and says it just the way it is. She has been spot on with her diagnosis's and I bring all 4 of my dogs here. I travel far to this place because I know I'm in such good hands and the office staff are extremely polite and professional.

Dr Balasky and Dr Dingfelder are 2nd to none. They are both the most caring, smart, and compassionate vets I've met. They've gone above and beyond to help me with my Doberman Ace. We incidentally found a tumor in my dogs leg. He referred me to Dr. her again to get biopsies done. The first one came back inconclusive so I needed to go back for a second. The biopsy was $1500 and I just wasn't in the position to get the second one done right away. Dr. Dingfelder took it upon himself to contact Dr. Horgon to try to help me out with pricing. Dr. Horgan called me and they worked something out for me. I will be forever greatful! Truly an amazing group!!! OH AND SO REASONABLE with pricing!

When I decided to get my first dog this vet was recommended to me by numerous friends. As a first time dog owner I would freak out over the smallest things and the staff and DR. would be patient with me and explained everything I needed to know and what to expect. The staff is very professional and kind to my dog every time we visit for check-ups or illnesses. They have wonderful customer service and always give great care for your animals.

I have a male Rottweiler that had a big abscess on his front paw. The abscess was making him limp. Dr. Jen Balasky immediately recommended surgery, and he was under their care for three days. When I picked my dog up from the vet, I was greeted with warm smiles, and kindness from the staff . When I saw my dog, he was back to his normal self walking and running again. How can I not love your hospital and every single doctor, assistant, and staff member. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the patience and loving care you offered my Tommy, especially for the last 4 months of his life. Putting him down was the hardest decision I have ever made, but knowing that you guys were there and that he went in peace aleviates my heartache. I still miss him every day, and just when I thought I hadn't kept anything from him except his pictures and videos, I opener my mail and found His Paw print....I am speechless, all I can say is Thank you Thank you, thank you, you guys don't just show up to work everyday, you guys love what you do and love all your patients and that truly makes a difference. Due to a bad experience at an entirely different vets office we had a fear of taking our girls to the vet. It had been two years, well past their due date. Our oldest girl got something in her eye and that was a sign we needed to bring the girls in. The office wasn't aware of our fear of vets but treated us with kindness and compassion, and plenty of treats for my snack lover, and our nervous wreck! And the best part didn't try to oversell us on things our girls don't need. Our last vet said our oldest "NEEDED" her teeth cleaned (which is what caused the problem with the last vet, and they never cleaned them). We give our girls bones and chews to help keep their teeth in good shape, Dr Dingfelder was amazed at how great of shape their teeth were in, no overselling of things we don't need, just so they could make money. Took care of our girls and brought back our faith in vets again, and Dr Dingfelder has a great disposition, and great sense of humor. I'm glad they came highly recommended to us. We'll see them again next year!

Cathy the office manager is incredibly helpful from start to end and I honestly felt like my cat Bailey (13 years old) and Earl (3 years old) received a THOROUGH exam. Dr.Dingfelder is so personable and makes you feel at ease! Too often we take our pets in their most fragile moments to a place and leave without peace of mind! Dr. Jen gave me a clear understanding of what my cats ailment was and helped me find the next step to his recovery! So grateful to find people who truly care for animals!

The compassion the staff showed the day we put our dog down was amazing. Then I was totally blown away when I received a ceramic ornament with her paw print and name on it. Dr. Dingfelder saved my dog, Pooh Bear! Another clinic tried bullying me into making a decision I could have regretted. Dr. Dingfelder was unbelievably patient with me, offered me options and wanted what was best for my dog as well as my sanity. The staff (front desk and nurses!) were so amazing, patient, empathetic and loving toward me and my Pooh Bear. Words cannot express how grateful I am for their support! Dr. Balasky will not suggest treatments that are not necessary and has always been incredibly right in his diagnostics and treatments. I would recommend him and his office to anyone who truly loved their animals.

I strongly disagree about the negative review regarding Dr. Dingfelder. He is the most compassionate animal and people loving person on the planet. I never wright reviews, but I just could not stand by and not give my opinion. He helped my very sick dog like it was his own. My Ralphy passed away with Dr. D's help and gentleness. He sent me a sympathy card stating how sorry he was and how much he became attached with Ralphy. What doctor does that? I wish I could go to Dr. Dingfelder and Dr. Balasky as my own doctors they are the greatest.
