I cannot say enough good things about Dr.Formosa and her amazing staff. They are so knowledgeable and only have the best interest of your pet in mind. My dog and I are always greeted with such enthusiasm and they make you feel very comfortable and right at home. Dr. Formosa explains everything and gives us as much time as we need with her. I’m so glad I found this hospital when I moved to Davie, Dr Formosa saved my fur baby. She had 7 kidney stones and I didn’t even know. My kitty was sick and no other vet took the time to tell me or check her out. It’s been 4 years and my baby is a healthy little one. I’m blessed. Great place and honest! Awesome staff and vets. I visited Nova Animal Hospital about a dozen years ago, and the veterinarian wanted to charge my daughter over $35 for a very small container of triple antibiotic cream. When I asked him what the difference was between the cream he was selling me and another triple antibiotic cream in Walgreens or CVS he said "none." I felt like a mark up of 7 to 10 times the retail cost was excessive, and we never went back there.Flash forward to June 4, 2017, I brought my dog's Rabies Certificate to Nova Animal Hospital as they were listed as an agent of Broward County to sell dog tags.A very pleasant woman asked if she could help me, but when I asked to purchase a dog tag she said it was their "policy not to sell dog tags unless the dog received the the rabies vaccine from Nova Animal Hospital." After speaking with Broward County Animal Services we should expect that Nova Animal Hospital will either follow the county's procedure or be removed from Broward County's list of agents.This place is within walking distance from my home! They have missed a second opportunity to make me a customer.

I usually pass it by mistake. It's very hidden and it's not too far from the Aveda Beauty School. They are very attentive, honest yet direct. Vet visits can add up if your bundle of furry joy has tics or flees, so be sure to bring extra money. Just to give you a run through of what to expect they will do the following:Weigh your furry friendExamine your furry friend's eye vision, ears and paws.***They clip their nails if you ask!feel their coat for flea's or ticsThey check their teeth too!*** They will also help you put your pet BACK in the carrier before you leave if you own a cat. (It's always a fight for me to catch my cat)After the basics are over , if you came for a specific issue, they will ask you questions pertaining to when the weird behavior started. Setting an appointment is very easy and they only TAKE APPOINTMENTS. Be sure to call in before you come in. Overall, I have absolutely no complaints and will continue to bring my cat.

She is patient and answers all of our questions and everyone there seems to love Rusty. Taking him to a vet is stressful, but everyone at the office is warm and caring. Rusty just had surgery performed by Dr. Formosa and I have a great deal of confidence in her. I highly recommend Dr. Formosa and her team.

Surpassed my expectations. The receptionist was very nice and when I arrived I didn't have to wait long to see the vet. ALL of the staff were very gentle with my dog. Also, they are very honest and I left relieved that I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for the visit. I finally found a veterinary clinic I like and trust! UPDATE: Had to put my sweet dog down and they were truly kind and empathetic

The staff are super nice and helpful. I've been bring my dogs here for the past 3 years and never had a bad experience. Dr Formoso (the lead vet and owner) is great and very knowledgeable as well as the rest of her staff. Love coming here and so do my dogs. They are usually very good at accommodating if you're pet is having a problem. I trust them with handling my dogs because they treat them as though they were their own pets.

Absolutely fantastic. I could not be happier with Dr. Formoso and the Nova Animal Hospital staff. I have been taking my 2 cats to see her for 4 years. Dr. Formoso has handled every one of my cats' issues including eye infections, mosquito allergies, blood work/ routine care, and dental problems. One of my cats is particularly difficult to deal with at the vet, but Dr. Formoso and the handlers always get everything done efficiently, professionally, and with minimal stress on the cat. Can't say enough about how great this facility is!

My family has been going to Nova Animal Hospital for more than 20 years for our fur baby care. Don't let the unassuming exterior fool you. Inside, you will find a team of dedicated, experienced professionals who really care about your pet and understand that they are members of your family. In recent years, Dr. Formoso took over the practice and brought in Dr. Romero. They are both thoughtful in their treatments and extremely attentive. The support staff is just as caring. You can tell it's not "just a job" for them and that they truly care about nurturing their furry patients. They make the experience pleasant for you and for your pet.

They were super friendly to my dog, i didnt think it was going to go so well since shes a pit mix. But everything went great! They knew exactly how to handle her. I love this place. I was hesitant to let Dr. Formoso treat my animals when my veterinarian of 13 years retired. I knew nothing about her. Then my year and a half old Maltese swallowed a needle and thread. Dr. Formoso went above and beyond to treat my little girl who was impossible to handle following her surgery. Dr. Formoso and her staff are dedicated to providing the best care possible to my animals. I am grateful for how they treated me and my dog during an extremely difficult time.

I finally found a vet for Sam!!!I had been bouncing back and forth between vets in south Florida and Maryland for my little guy-partially because I travel with him. He was fixed in Maryland and had most of his puppy shots there when he was teeny tiny, and then I came to a vet in FL and got ripped off. But I digress. I need to board Sam this weekend and was told he needed proof of bordetella. When I called the last vet where he had it done and it was expired-they are evidently 6 months. So I needed one quick. I called nova animal hospital and they got me in the next day at a time that was convenient to me. Yay!I went in a few minutes early to a super clean office that didn't smell like most vets do and had one simple page of paperwork. I was brought back very quickly and the techs were AMAZING. Sam loved them. Dr. Romero was great, came in and did a quick exam, gave him his intranasal and answered my few questions easily and we were out in no time. I was given no sales pitches which is a big deal to me. She told me when to come back for his next round of shots and gave Sam lots of treats!Checkout was super simple, I was charged less than I was quoted on the phone (yay!!!) and on the back of their card is a recipe for doggie cookies. I was told I would get a reminder postcard when I need to come back. How much more could I ask for?

I actually followed Dr. Formoso from another animal hospital that she was employed at before she decided to go into practice for herself. I fell in love with her when I first came to her for a second opinion. This is the first vet that I have ever seen that had no problem questioning another vets diagnosis even going so far as to contact them to question them directly. Her concern was strictly for my dog and didn't appear to play the political game that a lot of doctors play in not wanting to step on another's toes. That did it for me. Since then, Dr. Formoso has , time and time again, proven what a caring veterinarian is suppose to be. One of my dogs came down with a life threatening virus. I called her office that morning, knowing that the dog needed care right away. It turned out that Dr. Formoso had cancelled all her appointments that morning because her daughter had broken her arm the day before and she had a follow up appointment the next morning. Can you believe that when she heard about my dogs symptoms, she actually met me at her office, with her daughter in tow, and immediately started treating my dog. After 3 days in the hospital, Dr. Formoso, diagnosed, treated, and saved my baby. I am forever grateful for the care that Dr. Formoso and her staff continue to give my animals and I am a lifelong client. If your looking for a vet that actually cares, go see her.

I like this place! I didn't have to wait very long to be seen, and best of all it is a single-Doctor practice so the lobby was not ridiculously crowded and noisy. The staff is very nice, and the tech handled my old guy very nicely and gently in the exam room. I found the fees to be quite reasonable and of course Dr. Formoso is very nice! I felt very comfortable with her recommendations and approach to my dog's care.The decor is outdated and the hospital is kind of dimly lit which was a little strange. However it is my understanding that the vet bought the place less than a year ago, and these things take time and lots of money. Overall I find myself feeling very satisfied and I'm certain that we will be back when we bring our new puppy home next week. :)9/12/13_________We brought the puppy...yep, still like this place a lot. :)

I’m so glad I found this hospital when I moved to Davie, Dr Formosa saved my fur baby. She had 7 kidney stones and I didn’t even know. My kitty was sick and no other vet took the time to tell me or check her out. It’s been 4 years and my baby is a healthy little one. I’m blessed. Great place and honest! Awesome staff and vets. I visited Nova Animal Hospital about a dozen years ago, and the veterinarian wanted to charge my daughter over $35 for a very small container of triple antibiotic cream. When I asked him what the difference was between the cream he was selling me and another triple antibiotic cream in Walgreens or CVS he said "none." I felt like a mark up of 7 to 10 times the retail cost was excessive, and we never went back there.Flash forward to June 4, 2017, I brought my dog's Rabies Certificate to Nova Animal Hospital as they were listed as an agent of Broward County to sell dog tags.A very pleasant woman asked if she could help me, but when I asked to purchase a dog tag she said it was their "policy not to sell dog tags unless the dog received the the rabies vaccine from Nova Animal Hospital." After speaking with Broward County Animal Services we should expect that Nova Animal Hospital will either follow the county's procedure or be removed from Broward County's list of agents.This place is within walking distance from my home! They have missed a second opportunity to make me a customer.

I usually pass it by mistake. It's very hidden and it's not too far from the Aveda Beauty School. They are very attentive, honest yet direct. Vet visits can add up if your bundle of furry joy has tics or flees, so be sure to bring extra money. Just to give you a run through of what to expect they will do the following:Weigh your furry friendExamine your furry friend's eye vision, ears and paws.***They clip their nails if you ask!feel their coat for flea's or ticsThey check their teeth too!*** They will also help you put your pet BACK in the carrier before you leave if you own a cat. (It's always a fight for me to catch my cat)After the basics are over , if you came for a specific issue, they will ask you questions pertaining to when the weird behavior started. Setting an appointment is very easy and they only TAKE APPOINTMENTS. Be sure to call in before you come in. Overall, I have absolutely no complaints and will continue to bring my cat.

The staff are super nice and helpful. I've been bring my dogs here for the past 3 years and never had a bad experience. Dr Formoso (the lead vet and owner) is great and very knowledgeable as well as the rest of her staff. Love coming here and so do my dogs. They are usually very good at accommodating if you're pet is having a problem. I trust them with handling my dogs because they treat them as though they were their own pets.

Absolutely fantastic. I could not be happier with Dr. Formoso and the Nova Animal Hospital staff. I have been taking my 2 cats to see her for 4 years. Dr. Formoso has handled every one of my cats' issues including eye infections, mosquito allergies, blood work/ routine care, and dental problems. One of my cats is particularly difficult to deal with at the vet, but Dr. Formoso and the handlers always get everything done efficiently, professionally, and with minimal stress on the cat. Can't say enough about how great this facility is!

My family has been going to Nova Animal Hospital for more than 20 years for our fur baby care. Don't let the unassuming exterior fool you. Inside, you will find a team of dedicated, experienced professionals who really care about your pet and understand that they are members of your family. In recent years, Dr. Formoso took over the practice and brought in Dr. Romero. They are both thoughtful in their treatments and extremely attentive. The support staff is just as caring. You can tell it's not "just a job" for them and that they truly care about nurturing their furry patients. They make the experience pleasant for you and for your pet.

I love this place. I was hesitant to let Dr. Formoso treat my animals when my veterinarian of 13 years retired. I knew nothing about her. Then my year and a half old Maltese swallowed a needle and thread. Dr. Formoso went above and beyond to treat my little girl who was impossible to handle following her surgery. Dr. Formoso and her staff are dedicated to providing the best care possible to my animals. I am grateful for how they treated me and my dog during an extremely difficult time.

I finally found a vet for Sam!!!I had been bouncing back and forth between vets in south Florida and Maryland for my little guy-partially because I travel with him. He was fixed in Maryland and had most of his puppy shots there when he was teeny tiny, and then I came to a vet in FL and got ripped off. But I digress. I need to board Sam this weekend and was told he needed proof of bordetella. When I called the last vet where he had it done and it was expired-they are evidently 6 months. So I needed one quick. I called nova animal hospital and they got me in the next day at a time that was convenient to me. Yay!I went in a few minutes early to a super clean office that didn't smell like most vets do and had one simple page of paperwork. I was brought back very quickly and the techs were AMAZING. Sam loved them. Dr. Romero was great, came in and did a quick exam, gave him his intranasal and answered my few questions easily and we were out in no time. I was given no sales pitches which is a big deal to me. She told me when to come back for his next round of shots and gave Sam lots of treats!Checkout was super simple, I was charged less than I was quoted on the phone (yay!!!) and on the back of their card is a recipe for doggie cookies. I was told I would get a reminder postcard when I need to come back. How much more could I ask for?

I actually followed Dr. Formoso from another animal hospital that she was employed at before she decided to go into practice for herself. I fell in love with her when I first came to her for a second opinion. This is the first vet that I have ever seen that had no problem questioning another vets diagnosis even going so far as to contact them to question them directly. Her concern was strictly for my dog and didn't appear to play the political game that a lot of doctors play in not wanting to step on another's toes. That did it for me. Since then, Dr. Formoso has , time and time again, proven what a caring veterinarian is suppose to be. One of my dogs came down with a life threatening virus. I called her office that morning, knowing that the dog needed care right away. It turned out that Dr. Formoso had cancelled all her appointments that morning because her daughter had broken her arm the day before and she had a follow up appointment the next morning. Can you believe that when she heard about my dogs symptoms, she actually met me at her office, with her daughter in tow, and immediately started treating my dog. After 3 days in the hospital, Dr. Formoso, diagnosed, treated, and saved my baby. I am forever grateful for the care that Dr. Formoso and her staff continue to give my animals and I am a lifelong client. If your looking for a vet that actually cares, go see her.

I like this place! I didn't have to wait very long to be seen, and best of all it is a single-Doctor practice so the lobby was not ridiculously crowded and noisy. The staff is very nice, and the tech handled my old guy very nicely and gently in the exam room. I found the fees to be quite reasonable and of course Dr. Formoso is very nice! I felt very comfortable with her recommendations and approach to my dog's care.The decor is outdated and the hospital is kind of dimly lit which was a little strange. However it is my understanding that the vet bought the place less than a year ago, and these things take time and lots of money. Overall I find myself feeling very satisfied and I'm certain that we will be back when we bring our new puppy home next week. :)9/12/13_________We brought the puppy...yep, still like this place a lot. :)

Her staff is knowledgable, friendly and gentle with my dogs. They always greet me as soon as i walk in and remember my dogs' names and their ailments.
