The vet that I have been using for 10 years is on vacation and I was terrified when my cat became seriously ill. I checked reviews and made an appointment with Dr Ledesma at Quiet Waters animal hospital. I am amazed at how he has made himself available to us. I have seen him 3 times this week. I would have been lucky to get one appointment at my old vet. His office is very clean, the staff are extremely personable. Dr Ledesma put me at ease with his very thorough assessment and treatment and I couldn't be happier. He even has a number for emergencies so you never have to panic over a weekend. The best Doctor and staff ever. They have been taking excellent care of my English bulldog for years. My bulldog has many allergies as well as eye and skin problems. Dr. Ledesma and his staff take excellent care of him and and they never ever overcharge, the prices for what they do are more then reasonable. They also treat me like family, they are very kind and wonderful people. Quiet Waters Animal hospital doesn't look like much from the outside--just a nondescript little building huddled on Powerline Road next to a Columbian restaurant and across from the park. When my aging pooch had trouble urinating and showed signs of discomfort, I brought her here because it was close and because it got great reviews, but I confess the appearance of the place did give me pause. My concerns were unfounded. The reviews were right. What QWAH lacks in curb appeal it more than makes up for in heart, knowledge and professionalism. The front office staff is friendly and accommodating, and doctor Ledesma is warm, thorough and he knows his stuff. Perhaps my favorite thing about this place was the vet techs. These two guys, one a beardy young man who looked out of place without a craft IPA in his hand, the other a stout, bearish Latino, were the best helpers your cat or dog could want. They spoke sweetly to my frightened mutt, petted her, reassured her, all the while holding her firmly in place to give her fluids and medicine. They even trimmed her nails on request, a task I don't enjoy because she acts like I'm murdering her with every snap, but they got it done with barely a whimper because they're just so deft.  It was clear this wasn't just a job for these two--they *love* animals. And animals know. If you need a vet in the 33442, don't hesitate to bring your fuzzy buddy to Doctor Ledesma. He's one of the best, and his team does him proud. Read Less

After two poor visits to VCA Hillsboro I tried QW Animal hospital and found relief for my old dogs multifaceted problems. I felt he was a confident experienced vet and he solved my old dog's problems and had her good as new, and invited us back for a follow up visit 2 weeks later free of charge. i would like to tell you guys the truth about the leanne s bad review. her review is unfair and uncalled for . i worked at quiet waters animal hospital for 9 years im no longer employed there but i remember this case very very well. Ms Leanne brought in her new puppy that was obstructed he had chewed up and eaten part of a pee pad. she rushed in and said right away put him to sleep i can't afford to treat him i know he is bad but i can't afford it so put him to sleep. Dr pablo said to her lets give him a chance she asked if she could have a payment plan he said no but none the less she left the pup and the doctor was able to save without the need for surgery. her bill was about 400.00 which is extremely reasonable for a emergency. Ms Leanne was told that pup would have to stay at the hospital until her bill was paid she then says i don't have it so i guess he will have to stay. she then showed up about 2 days later and payed her bill and took her pup home. i also remember her bringing in her other older pup daisy and constantly saying i don't want too much done can you waive the exam fee i don't have a lot of money . fine that's understandable but if you can't afford your one dog why go out and get a second one. that bothered me because it would take away from daisy the funds she could need if any problem arrised. Ms Leanne is beyond irresponsible and shame on her. That puppy deserved a better home then she could provide shame on her because Dr Pablo saved that pup's life he lives because Dr Pablo fought for him when his owner wanted to put him to sleep. i never replied to her bad review before because i was still employed there and Dr pablo wouldnt want me to get involved but im no longer employed there but i still feel a moral duty to set this straight. We've been bringing our cats here ever since we moved to Boca two years ago. The staff have been very good to us, and "Dr. Pablo" is excellent. We unfortunately had to say goodbye to our oldest cat recently after 21 wonderful years. They handled the situation as well as it could be, I'm grateful we found this place before Fangio found himself at Death's door. I have been coming to Quiet Waters Animal Hospital for twelve years already. All because they have a great location, a clean office, an amazing staff and most importantly, they have always been so caring with my dog. Dr. Ledesma is my dog's doctor and is very knowledgeable with so many issues my dog has had. He the kind of veterinarian that is there more for the animals, than making lots of money; like some of the veterinarian's we've had where the doctor just adds lots of tests that are not necessary.Stephanie is super friendly and always very helpful when I call her and have any concerns or questions about my dog. We have two dogs and one cat and whenever we take them to Dr. Ledesma, he is always very caring, thorough and we trust his veterinary advice. Whether the animals have a serious problem or just something minor, he treats them with compassion and works to find a solution. Doctor ledesma is wonderful and Mr white I'm very sorry you felt offended about a muzzle but the doctor can recommend it if he feels your dog will bite you can decline it which you did I'm again sorry you felt bad . I truly honestly hope you find a vet that fits you and your dog's needs. I know a you didn't like the idea of your dog being muzzled but the doctor has to consider his safety his staff's safety and your dog's as well. Doctor who came in wouldn't even greet my dog and thus my dog growled. Vet seemed scared of any big dog and wanted to muzzle my dog. When I told him no that wasn't necessary I was told I could leave. All the vet had to do was pet my dog. You shouldn't be a vet if you are scared of any animal and aren't willing to listen to the pet owner. My dog has never showed any signs of aggression and has never bitten anyone. And this is because people greet him and once he smells you and knows you're friendly he's your best friend. I love doctor Ledesma. He has been our family vet since I was little. Now I take my own pets there. He is knowledgeable and does not push unnecessary treatments or vaccines. Once, when I was in my early teens my dog was giving birth on a Sunday and I was home alone. My parents weren't answering the phone and one of the puppies was breech. I called the vet in a panic and he talked me through what to do and both puppies and mom were fine. I will forever be grateful for that. Read Less

They are horrible and just want all of your money.After going there for years, I'm over it.Their record keeping is nonexistant, so if you do go, be sure to keep every record/receipt.Every few months, they tell me my dogs need their annual shots, when in fact my dogs were just in there (3) months ago.
