Recently adopted a dog, Rocky, and I found out that  he had been seen at Magnolia. I was happy since it is convenient to where I live in Delray Beach. I had also taken my previous dog there a few times when I was down visiting my mother a few years ago.  They had the records so it was nice to have continuity. I also appreciate the little extras they provided- a key chain card and wallet card with their numbers and Rocky's information. The receptionists and techs are very friendly. I just wish Rocky wasn't so spooked going to the Vet- he seems to freak out when he gets to the door- wondering if he had a bad experience in his past life. I wanted to like this Vet clinic because of all the wonderful reviews. Dr Johnson seemed nice and thorough. However when it was time to neuter my puppy, a Dr Fayman was assigned the surgery. I was told that she would meet me before so that all questions would be answered. Bottom line.. I was told to come and meet her the day before but they were going to charge a consult fee.Magnolia is very disorganized and they consistently make promises that they don't deliver on.  I canceled and will take the puppy to a less profit oriented clinic. We took Lily (our 8 year old yorkiepoo) to see Dr Johnson this am. We were concerned with results from another vet that was drawn last week. Dr Johnson did a new physical and blood draw. We got the results of the blood draw within a half hour. Dr Johnson (who was very comforting) assured us that Lily was fine!!  It is nice to know that there is a very knowledgeable and caring Veterinarian local to us. Exceptional in every way! Our first emergency since moving into Delray Beach was our Olde English Sheepdog. Did an online search and found Dr Fayman and crew at Magnolia. They got us in the same day. Treated Beau with professional compassion and expertise; listened to our stories. They diagnosed the situation quickly and prescribed the appropriate treatment without trying to sell us other services or products. The staff is wonderful.  I boarded my ill dog with them for a few days and my little Sammy was well loved and taken care of.  All 3 of our dogs go to this vet and they are excellent.  When my beloved dog passed away they sent a beautiful card that was signed by all their staff individually with notes.  That meant alot to me and this is an example of going above and beyond Read Less

Took my cat to Magnolia today.  She has been on thyroid medication from a previous vet who hasn't followed up or offered us an alternative to medication.  I had to look up "radioiodine" therapy to find this is a cure, not a $50/month lifetime medication.  We took her to see Dr. Johnson at Magnolia who gave her a thorough checkup.  She noticed her liver seemed off as well based on the blood work done by the previous vet (who never mentioned it.)  Dr. Johnson also spoke to us about the radioiodine therapy.  She was kind, very professional and answered any and all questions we had.  Her staff is also very caring and truly understanding.   We will be taking our "kids" there from now on.  I don't impress easily but, like all of us animal lovers, we want the best for them.  Bring them here. I am so pleased I found Magnolia Veterinary Clinic.  They have been the best vet I have ever used in all my years of having dogs and cats. When I first moved here my cat ate a flower from a plant that could be toxic. I had not yet established a vet but was panicked. I called Magnolia and expected them to say you need to come right in.  Instead they reassured me that since it was just the flower my Chloe would most likely be fine. They told me what to look for if she was going to have problems. I was impressed that they weren't alarmists and looking to make me go in for an office visit if it wasn't necessary.  I took Chloe for an annual visit and shots to Dr. Jennifer Johnson.   She was super nice, knowledgeable,  and the office was immaculate and all staff very professional.  I have always been able to get appointments quickly.  I had Chloe in for an UTI infection on Wednesday. They took me within a half hour of my call and the staff called on Friday to check on her, and Dr. Johnson called me yesterday with her lab results.   They care about the animals and don't push unnecessary treatments on you.  I lucked out finding this well run practice and highly recommend them to family and friends. I, personally, had a bad experience with this place. My kitten had a suspicion of foreign body obstruction. I told them my story and explained symptoms in details but nobody really listened to me, especially the vet. I gave them my kitten's history of vaccination and they still kept asking me if a particular vaccine was done (why you didn't read the history of your patient?). I had to repeat the story and describe the symptoms over and over again. They didn't listen. They tried to sell without properly describing the procedures, they didn't want to answer my questions and the vet was making faces even though I was calm and polite with them. Now, the exam: aren't you guys supposed to measure animal's temperature and use stethoscope? These are basics, right? but they weren't done. Next: the X-rays. They didn't even show them to me!! The X-rays were unclear, not because of their fault, (my kitten's belly was full of fluids) and they couldn't identify if there's a foreign object or not. What shocked me the most was the first thing the vet leaned towards is a SURGERY. How cruel you have to be to open up an animal in order to see if there's a foreign object without 100% being sure that there is one?!! I get it if the Xray was clear, BUT IT WASN'T. And they scared me that he might have an internal bloating that would kill my kitten and it's urgent. As an option ("to give it a try, to prevent surgery") they offered to perform enemas and they said if it wouldn't work, then my kitten will need a surgery, ASAP. I agreed on enemas, they didn't really work (not their fault, my kitten was stressed and didn't want go potty there) and they sent me home and told me to come to perform the same thing (and get more money out of me). I went to another vet, received a much better treatment towards me and my pet, he did the Xrays (this time they were very clear) and there was clearly no foreign object or internal bloating in his body!! NO SURGERY NEEDED. My new vet also measured his temperature and discovered that he has a fever and gave him medications for that. If I trusted them and agreed on surgery my kitten would've been opened up just to find that everything was fine. Very disappointed. They don't care about animals and their owners, all they want is to sell and get the money. They scared me so much, they wasted my money and my time. Read Less

I've been coming here for 5 years and couldn't be happier. Amazing doctors and techs. Everyone is helpful, caring and knowledgeable. In and out in a reasonable amount of time. I checked out various veterinarians in the area and picked Magnoliabased on the reviews and educational backgrounds of the Veterinarians.I brought my dog in for a check up and was very pleased with thecare that my dog received.She had a full check-up and Dr Fayman discovered that she had anear infection.  I got some medicine and a ear wash to apply and tomorrow we go back to see if it has cleared up and I will meet Dr. Johnson.The staff seems very nice and I am hoping that this will be our veterinarian for our dog and cat. My cat, Halo, had his toe from his front paw dislocated on Christmas Eve. At first I went to a very known Vet in Boca, I had no choice, and they told me to go home “he will be fine.” I’m not a Vet but I could see that his toe was dislocated, so I took him on the 26th to Magnolia. Let me tell you, they treated Halo like their own. Dr. Fayman and her assistant were awesome. They knew right away what was going on. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. Every time I go they do a thorough examination on my dog, even if I go for a specific issue. The doctors are very professional and knowledgable, Madison at the front desk is a polite and helpful young girl and, last but not least, Alanna, the technician could not be more professional, kinder and more caring. After searching and searching for a vet i was comfortable trusting with my babies i finally found one!! i took my dog to banfield for a year and was never truly satisfied with anything that they offered me, but at magnolia they make sure to always work with you and make sure that they are doing the best by you and your furbaby. The office is clean and well organized. they have 3 or 4 exam rooms that are all painted different bright colors. Right when you walk in the front door is the front desk where the staff is sitting and greet you with a smile right away. the wait time is always short, i have never waited more than 5 minutes to be seen for an appointment. the vet techs are all really friendly and you can tell that they all really love their jobs and every pet that comes in to the office. they go as far to get down on the floor with my dogs and make sure that they are comfortable with them before checking them out. Dr. Fayman is really sweet as well. both the doctor and the vet techs always make sure they educate you on everything that they are doing before they do it to make sure that you fully understand everything down to what each individual vaccine is for. They make sure that you have all of the information that you need to ensure your pet is healthy. talking to them i do not feel like it is all about the dollar signs like i have with other vets in the past. i feel like the truly care about my dogs and want to make sure they are as healthy as possible! I had heard people rave about Dr. Johnson and her staff at Magnolia Clinic, but just this week learned for myself how great they are. We brought our kitty Jasmine in for boarding, hoping we could fix our flea problem while she was away. She was spooked at first we were worried. But the staff was so sweet with her, and she eventually warmed up. They gave us tons of tips on how to get the fleas out of our home, and were able to get Jasmine flea-free! I had taken me Doberman puppy in for an exam. Come to find out she has worn but not uncommon for puppies. I was charged quite a bit of money after exam, tests, and medication. I was never called for a follow up. A few months later my puppy had perblems again and again we returned and the doctor said via phone that a follow up should have be done. Well when we returned $1300 later and never called for another follow up or a call asking how she was really pissed me off. Now again my puppy is sick again I would never recommend this vet to anyone. Read Less

After visiting this place twice now I am so surprised at how enjoyable both experiences were. I am a long term pet owner and have visited many vet offices. And my grandfather was a vet as well. That being said, after walking into magnolia I am always greeted by such warm smiles and friendly faces. The services are always great and having a frenchie, we need to go often for skin care and other services. The techs are also great and very friendly and knowledgeable. Magnolia also never overcharges us and usually gives us a price that's a great value, esp in south Florida. I am so glad I tried them out and you will be too! These people are truly animal lovers! We had a good experience with Magnolia and the vet. They are open late on Wednesdays to accommodate a work schedule. The tech was great with my dog and made him feel comfortable. After three visits, I'm ready to switch vets and I don't do this lightly.  Whatever the comments here, I have found Dr Johnson on more than one occasion to be standoffish and not particularly friendly.  In addition, there seem to be (too?) many people around this office but oddly, there still is a longer than expected wait even when it is empty.  And today's experience with a highly obnoxious and uppity vet tech (and no apology from Dr. Johnson who witnessed the event) put the icing on the cake.  I've had cats for many a year and only here have I had to "make a switch." While obnoxiousness may be second nature and widely accepted in this part of the world, I don't and will never buy into it nor will I accept it from anyone or anything. Good riddance!Followup:  Their response to me is nonsensical and ridiculous plus they clearly know what they did as all were there.  Interestingly none (with the exception of original reviews posted after mine) of their other  "replies" were posted until after I posted this review.Can you say "damage control?"Contact me directly if you wish substantiation of their behavior and the way they run their business. I had been to several veterinary practices in the area, but none of them felt quite right for my fur baby. After someone had recommended Dr. Johnson to me a few years back, we finally found our "home" at Magnolia Vet Clinic. Dr. Johnson and her staff are kind and you can tell that they genuinely care about their patients. Dr. J is also an animal lover by nature, which believe it or not isn't always the case. Unlike some places that are only concerned with cranking patients in and out quickly and extracting as much money as possible, Magnolia takes their time to answer questions thoroughly, and gives your pet the time and attention it deserves. My English Pointer (Andrew) had a growth on the outside of his thigh which suddenly erupted and began a steady drip of blood which was unstoppable. I called Magnolia Clinic within an hour of this occurrence and was given an appointment to see Dr Johnson, not only that same day, but within an hour of calling. Dr Johnson had Dr Fayman there who was able to perform surgery to remove the growth later that same day. I am sitting here reading all the negative reviews, and just shaking my head. I have had lots of dogs in my life and living in different areas, from up North to different parts of Florida. When I relocated to Delray Beach (5 years ago), I was in need for a vet for my Maltese. I went to some, and just didn't get that feel of "comfort" or "love" for animals. I heard about Dr. Johnson, and since she was near my home, I would try her. I have nothing but good things to say about her staff, as well as Dr. Johnson herself. She diagnosed my 13 year old Maltese, and treated him for his condition. She was very honest in telling me the truth about him. Unfortunately, he just recently passed away. Her office was notified about his death through a 24 hour emergency animal hospital. Needless to say, I received a sympathy card from her and her staff. Her staff has always been pleasant. Not one "mean" streak in anyone of them. They are all kind, understanding and patient, as well as cooperative. I recently bought a puppy, which I just brought into Dr. Johnson for her first visit. The love and affection that Zoey got from the staff, as well as Dr. Johnson was amazing. Dr. Johnson, and her staff, try and do their best with every situation. Sometimes, you may be hoping for a "miracle" to save your furry friend. I was hoping for a miracle to save my Cuddles. Unfortunately, it was not granted to me. I will not blame any of the doctors, staff, nurses, etc., for the death of my dog. It was his time. My dog did not pass away at Magnolia, but when I saw Dr. Johnson, and the staff, they were very caring and very sympathetic. Not only did I find a great vet, I also made a "friend" who truly cares for her fur babies. I just moved to Delray Beach on July 20, 2016. My dog, Bella, had a rash that was treated at our vet in NYC just before we moved. It was better for awhile and it just came back.I researched local vets in and around the area. Magnolia Veterinary Clinic was one of the places I read about. Two neighbors, with dogs, also recommended Magnolia.The front desk gave me an appointment on the same day I called. They were professional and friendly. They showed  concern for Bella and my situation. Dr. Johnson's vet assistant met with us first. He listened carefully to my concerns and reassured me that they could help Bella. Dr. Johnson came in to examine Bella within 15 minutes of my arrival. She examined Bella and suggested a course of treatment. All my fears and concerns went away after speaking with her.The service was thorough and reasonably priced. I posted this yesterday and somehow it disappeared from the site so I thought I would post it again. It is important that animal lovers hear all experiences so that they can make informed decisions. I will continue to check back to make sure my review is heard. "After an aspiration biopsy, which was done at about 2:30pm on Tuesday, my kitty developed problems which led to her death about 9 hours later. I call the office in the evening looking for help. Since the office was closed, I was referred to an emergency clinic which could not be contacted. I got a repeated message saying, cannot go through please call back later. At which point I called the office back and left a frantic message then had to start looking for a 24hr E.R. while my baby was in distress. Two hours later Ms. Einstein was dead. If Dr. Johnson does not have adequate follow up she should not be performing any invasive procedure. It is now 1:15 pm the next day and I have not heard anything from the Magnolia Veterinary Clinic. No response to my frantic phone call or a follow up to see how my cat is doing after her procedure. Of course I am sad about my loss but I am angry about the total disregard for the health of my cat.Read Less

I have taken my cats to Dr. Johnson for a number of years. I highly recommend her. Her staff is great. Dr. Johnson helped me care for a cat with kidney issues and when it was time to say goodbye - she was kind to my cat and to me. She is conscientious regarding follow-up with test results. Dr. Johnson is so loving! She always is happy to get my Dog Barbie in and always provides the Best care possible! My cat (Salem) had advanced liver cancer and it was time to end her suffering. We made the mistake of trusting Dr. Johnson at Magnolia vets to sedate and then euthanize her. She sedated Salem and then left. Salem did become peaceful but the vet did not return. After a while she began to twitch, fighting the anesthesia and trying to stand. I tried to get the vet (she was talking to someone in the lobby) and explained what was happening. She said she would, "be right there," but was a no show as Salem was fighting the anesthesia and struggling to stand more often. I went out two more times before the vet finally came to the room. She was nonchalant, saying my cat is just disoriented. Salem should not have been disoriented; she should have been relaxed and resting instead of struggling. The vet finally gave her the lethal injection and said Salem was dead. I don't believe she was even going to verify with a stethoscope until I asked her to. Johnson claims the procedure was normal, I checked online the description of normal is, "Once sedation is accomplished (typically rendering a pet both completely unresponsive and thoroughly insensate)." Salem was neither. My poor baby was forced to fight at the end when she should have and could have had a peaceful transition. The lack of concern and professionalism was unbelievable. My decision to take her to that vet will haunt me forever. Read Less

Magnolia Vet is the best. When we found a dog injured on the side of the road, they made time for him immediately and cleaned him up, medicated him, and provided care that was necessary right away to help save his life. Now, he is a healthy and happy dog. Also, we had an emergency with our other dog at night, before their Christmas break was about to begin, and Dr. Johnson and the staff stayed at the clinic to wait for our dog to be brought to them, as well as stayed hours after closing to help stabilize him. Dr. Johnson and the wonderful staff have been by our side through the recovery process and have been very helpful. Not only for these situations, but even for our routine visits, Magnolia Vet has been amazing and we appreciate them going above and beyond for us and our doggies. Read Less

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT YOUR PET TO LIVE!!!!My mother brought her cat hear on several occasions and the just kept giving the cat antibiotics. Spent tons of money and the cat never got better. Went for second opinion today. Well my cat had to be put down. She had mouth cancer and it was eating away at her mouth and teeth. How did this vet not see this all of these time. She has nerve practicing. I am putting a complaint in to whoever oversees vets in Florida. I strongly suggest you do not see this vet.Read Less
