In 2013 I brought my 15 year old black lab buddy in and found out he had cancer, the vet and staff was very caring, kind, and truly amazing. A few days later when my boy took a turn for the worst, we made the hard decision that it was time to let him go and to let him be at peace. The vet told me I did not need to be in the room, that he would not be alone, but of course I wanted to be with my baby in his last moments. Most vets make them lay on the uncomfortable metal table,... but she did not, she allowed him to lay on his dog bed and in my lap. After his passing, we had him cremated. With his ashes, I received a card signed by the entire staff, a poem, and a clay imprint of his paw. Recently I had my 4 year old Pit Bull/American bull dog in for a hematoma, they drained it and sent him home with prednisone and antibiotics, he is doing much better and is acting like his normal silly self! Myself and Dr. Reira had a misunderstanding, but she went out of her way to apologize after seeing my previous comment and I am thankful for that, and I apologize for taking her words the wrong way!
