In 2013 I brought my 15 year old black lab buddy in and found out he had cancer, the vet and staff was very caring, kind, and truly amazing. A few days later when my boy took a turn for the worst, we made the hard decision that it was time to let him go and to let him be at peace. The vet told me I did not need to be in the room, that he would not be alone, but of course I wanted to be with my baby in his last moments. Most vets make them lay on the uncomfortable metal table,... but she did not, she allowed him to lay on his dog bed and in my lap. After his passing, we had him cremated. With his ashes, I received a card signed by the entire staff, a poem, and a clay imprint of his paw. Recently I had my 4 year old Pit Bull/American bull dog in for a hematoma, they drained it and sent him home with prednisone and antibiotics, he is doing much better and is acting like his normal silly self! I had two other dogs treated here and now our newest. They are very kind folks and Dr Fansher and Dr Willy take time to get to know you and your pet. I'm really glad we are back in the area and can take Ana to them now. I love that after a visit with a procedure, they call and check on your pet and they can be reached 24/7 in an emergency. My Piper saw Dr Willey yesterday. She wasn't eating, was vomiting, wouldn't play & didn't want treats or her vitamins, both of which she dearly loves. Deltona Animal Medical Center goes above and beyond for their patients. I've had two surgical patients with Doctor Liria T. Riera-Seivane, one was a dog that came to me as an emergence case and she needed her eye removed during the Christmas holiday. Everything went amazing! This last time I had to go in with my personal dog, he had an intestinal blockage. The vet tech that came in explained everything before hand and then the doctor came in and showed me pictures of what exactly they were doing and what was happening. She went over the estimate in depth and made sure she explained what each charge was and how it pertained to my dogs surgery and recovery. The staff up front was very patient with my constant calling to see if he was out yet and how it was going even though they told me prior they expected surgery to be done at 5. As soon as surgery was over I got a phone call from the vet herself telling me what she had to do when she operated and how it went. My dog had to stay in the vet for a day and they called me to give me updates and the staff was again patient of my constant calling. My dog ended up not eating well after surgery and the Dr. Liria listened to me when I told her it was the environment, and she understood. So I took him home for a few hours to see if he would improve, he did, he ate! We brought him in the next day and she checked him out and liked his progress so she said we should continue at home and if we had any problems to come in. Day three came with no problems at all, she checked him out again and then discharged him. Since then Dr Liria herself has called me to see how he was doing. She called me 9/04 and 9/05 to see how Ace was doing and their office is closed! That just shows how much she cares for her patients. Disappointed! Inconsiderate techs that are aggressive with the animals and rude to you. Recently moved back to Florida. Used to see an amazing vet here that opened her own practice. Idk where to start my review. Let's see....the tech used restraint technique on my Labrador for zero reason. She had him pressed against the wall and clamped his mouth shut during the exam. My lab is an extremely docile K9. A gentle giant. Her behavior and the way she handled him upset him. I've never seen my lab want to leave the vet. All vets love my lab because he is over the top friendly and 100% cooperates. The tech acted like it was a burden to read through the medical records I brought from Colorado. She was trying to push annual exams on both my dogs when their medical records clearly state they had their yearly 6 months ago. We asked if they price matched the flea and heartworm preventative meds. The tech assured me they did. When we left I asked the tech if the vet had anything to say about my labs hips, as he is older and labs are known for getting arthritis. She basically pushed us out the door and told us not to worry about it. While I think the new female vet is kind, she is not experienced. I have issues with the techs at this practice. The previous visit, the other tech forced my maltese poodle to stay on her back. Some dogs don't like being on their backs. It was clear my little dog was stressed and uncomfortable. Yet, the tech carried through with forcing her to stay on her back. For no reason. I've never ever had any techs or vet restrain or force my animals. Especially for simple exams. Did I mention that when we got home from yesterday's visit I discovered they gave us the wrong medications AND over charged us by $35? If you desire techs that have the ability to read your fur baby's body language, I'd strongly advise choosing a different practice. I'd give them a one star, but I think the veterinarian we saw is a kind hearted person. I hope she leaves this practice. Be weary. Very weary. Your animals depend on you. Read Less

We have been coming to Deltona Medical Animal Center for over 20 years. The staff is very competent as well as friendly. I joke around with the front desk girls every time I come in and we haves good time. The doctors are the best and the waiting time is minimal. We love it there!! Love Dr Fansher!! He is the only one who was ever able to help my dog who suffered from numerous skin infections and had been seen by multiple other vets and never got the help he needed before we came here! Dr. Fansher and the rest of the staff also helped me through a trying time when a litter of foster kittens I had came down with a mystery illness leaving two of my fosters dead and I almost lost two of my own. I had to go in every day for fluids and multiple medicines but thanks to excellent care my two pulled through (one of which was only an 8 week old kitten I had just adopted!) I have been going here for the past four years or so and I will never go anywhere else! Read Less

I started us this vet when my old vet moved. Well, hard to say. You got to really have some knowledge about what's going on with your dog. Don't expect to have simply problem solved here without visiting twice or more. And watch out the prescription medication prices. If your pet needs the med today, go for it. If not really, go order online. That's what I do cuz this Deltona animal hospital charge me 4 times more as much as regular online pet med webs. If you pet get sick, try to get some info online to get a rough idea what could be wrong. It's always helpful before visiting the vet. I am not saying they are no good, but nowadays a lot of vets will take more money out of your wallet if they could. Also, watch what the staffs there are doing to your pet since they always take your pet away to do tests. My dog came back home from a regular check up, seemed depressed, refused to eat, lost a lot of weight and we had no choice but bringing him back to the vet after 5 days from last visit. Overall, I am not very happy with this place. Remember your pet can not talk, so keep an eye on everything there if you could. Read Less
