Our Deltona animal hospital is open 16 hours a day, from 9am to 1am, 365 days a year. Newman Veterinary Centers are well organized and generously staffed to reduce wait times. Having multiple vets gives us scheduling flexibility, so you can book appointments that fit your schedule. We have five pet hospitals in Volusia County and one in Seminole County. Took my dog in for an ear issue, because I wouldn’t be able to get into my regular vet fast enough. I sat for THREE HOURS in this vets office. Explained how my regular vet normally treats the issue, to which the vet there told me I needed a surgical procedure and was uncomfortable with the less invasive treatment. Had to practically beg the doctor to follow my request rather than put in a drain. The doctor then implied that I was neglectful of my pet. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. Save your time, money and frustration. If you're looking for a vet that will pay attention to you and your pet go to Woodland Animal Clinic. Dr. Bailey listens to you and CARES about your pet and doing what is actually in their best interest and NOT what is the most expensive treatment option.

I have two cats and have been extremely pleased with this veterinary office. Excellent staff and in my experience they don't sell, they just provide the needed care. I took an injured stray to them this morning (Sunday and late hours how great!!!!) and the care she was given was outstanding. Yes, it will be a hit to my budget, but surgery was obviously necessary and the rates are fair. If I had to go to Seminole county to the emergency vet, it would have been quite a bit more. Thank you to this wonderful practice for taking care of my little kids.

A few years back, this review is late, I took my cat to this vet because liquid was oozing out of his mouth and nose. I allowed the vet to do whatever tests were necessary to diagnose the problem. After a few days of not being able to find the issue, and padding the bill with overnight vet stays (be sure to thoroughly read your bill) the only answer to this problem was to cut open my cat and explore to find the cause. During this time my cat also developed kennel cough and was so weak he was near death. As a local bartender, I don't think the vets expected me to be their bartender the night a group of the staff and one of the doctors were out getting completely drunk, but this was the night prior to them expecting me to let them preform experimental surgery on my cat. You can't even make up the irony of a situation like this. So needless to say I wanted to take my cat home and seek another vets opinion. When I went to pay my bill I reviewed it closely to find they charged me an extra night of stay on my bill, this is a lot of money mind you, and when I pointed it out to the clerk, she said would have a manager call me, but as of now, if I would like my dying cat back I would have to pay in full. I never was contacted by a manager. I was completely scammed for the highest vet bill I have ever received in my life and all they did was help kill my cat faster. I went to another vet, who recognized the issue immediately, he had a giant hairball stuck in his throat that he was slowly choking on. They removed it that day and he could breathe again. They charged me a reasonable price and cured the kennel cough that my pet received from this horrible facility. What prompts me to write this review years later, remembering all the pain and grief that place gave me, and the fact they scammed me out of my money and I never did get it back. I regret to this day not picketing outside this business until they at least returned my money from their error, and to warn anyone who loves their pet to stay away from this greedy money hungry despicable business.

I called this vet office at around 11 in the evening regarding an issue with my 1 year old kitten asking for their recommendation on if I should bring her in or if I should give her a little more time...
I called this vet office at around 11 in the evening regarding an issue with my 1 year old kitten asking for their recommendation on if I should bring her in or if I should give her a little more time when she was having multiple issues. All they told me is they were open until 1 and it was up to me if I wanted to bring her in and were very snippy on the phone. I then called the 24 hour vet hospital in DeLand on 17-92 and they were extremely helpful and told me how much longer I could give her before bringing her in and that if any more symptoms developed before then to bring her in anyways. She did get worse so I took her there and they were wonderful! I recommend going to the one in DeLand over this one any day. If this office truly cared for all pets that can come through their door they should have been more kind and helpful over the phone. Definitely will not recommend Newman Veterinary Centers to anyone.

These people are the most compassionate and efficient I have ever dealt with in the veterinary field.
We brought in our very old dog who extremely regrettably had to be put down for reasons too terrible to list in this forum.
The ladies at the front desk saw to it that we were brought in the back immediately and we were quickly attended to.
The doctor did not put us through a lot of painful questioning and there was no judgment shown whatsoever. With just one look at our poor dog he agreed that there was no other loving option for him.
We were treated with the utmost of sympathy and kindness.
I held my dog until his last breath and I did not take it well.
The doctor was very kind and comforting, and he said all the right things to make it possible for me to let go of my dog so my husband and the assistant could place him in his coffin-shaped container as we had asked to take him home to bury next to his sister who had passed years earlier from a blood issue she had had since she was born.
They are together now, and as hard as this has been for me, having just taken place mere days ago, I truly don't believe any other hospital or center could have handled the situation any better and still treated us with such dignity after having to put down a family member who had degenerated so terribly and so quickly.
My grown daughter has gotten a new kitten to help her deal with the pain and void she now feels, and she will be bringing her kitten to Newman Veterinary Centers in Deltona as well.
This will be our vet for life. Thank you.

I'm writing this review on Yelp in hopes that someone from your office will call me. My pet Kimorah had surgery on March 7, 2017, to have bladder stones removed. She was treated with care and you got her in for surgery right away, but there has been no follow up. I have left over half a dozen messages both for the doctor and our vet tech to find out the test results of her stones that were sent to the lab for testing. I have never received a call back. This past Friday I called and was left on hold for 15 minutes. ...and couldn't get through after calling back several times. After spending $1300 plus on surgery, there should be proper systems in place so that you can provide appropriate follow up for your patients. At this point, I simply want to know what foods to avoid and confirmation that my dog is OK. I'm so deeply disappointed I don't know that I want to return. The staff and doctors were really friendly. I'm truly shocked.

I definitely appreciate their genuine care for all animals (I've been convinced) although I do not think it is right to write up an incorrect dose of prescription medication by writing a double daily dose when it was supposed to be a single dose (of 8mg worth of Ondansetron) and then when caught and corrected, their attitude about that mistake is that "it happens and we count on pharmacists to find these rare occurrences". That to me is not owning that a mistake was made on their part. The medication could lead to severe allergies or side effects with the right dosage. An animal can suffer worse than what they were to have received the prescription. That sort of problem recognition is unacceptable. You lose trust this way. Now I have to question all prescriptions from now on to make sure I don't experience an unnecessary death due to overdose.

Newman rushed my little guy in, without an appointment, and straight into the oxygen bed. We had a very fast Dx and Tx went home with our meds. They phoned us the next day and the next, and encouraged us to bring him back if anything developed. Sadly, he didn't make it, but the fast, correct care he received made his last days comfortable. After a week he is doing well. The staff is friendly and helpful. They are not my regular Vet, but I will keep them in mind for future service.

Doctors and Staff were very good. I would only suggest that there be a more efficient way to triage pets as they come in when they are very busy. I love the way they spend time on your pets problem but it seems rather than completely treating one pet at a time, they triage, order tests etc to help the flow a bit. Quality of your care however is excellent and I would recommend them immediately.

Distemper vaccines last from 5-7yrs but theirs only last a yr at most. When you point this out to them they send you your dogs medical records. Say you are rude. Thwn tell you to leave. Plus heartworm medication doesnt need to be given less than 45 days. If you miss 4 days pas the 30 day mark they want you to have another test for heartworms. $$$$

It was a parent's worst nightmare. Our 14 year old special needs boy suffered a seizure and couldn't stand. It was during the weekend when our long time family vet was closed. We walked into Newman carrying Wolfgang. A nurse came right out to us and carried Wolfy right in. Everyone on the staff couldn't have been nicer or more caring. The doctor took time to read the medical records we brought and even consulted with our regular vet by phone. Although Wolfgang's poor little body just couldn't take any more, the doctor tried valiantly to save him. He was compassionate and gave us time to make the hardest decision of all and he gave us time to be together. Newman was a light at a very dark time. They really do live up to their motto- we treat them like our own.

We brought our Pomeranian here last month for kidney failure after being misdiagnosed in Edgewater. They are open 9a-1am 7 days and have a full hospital facility on site. The place is extremely clean and all the staff were VERY courteous and helpful. They took blood and did labs on site and then admitted our Pomeranian family member to get intensive treatment. She stayed there for 5 days total and was very well taken care of. The staff regularly visited her and gave her a lot of love while she was there. We were able to call anytime and get updates on her status.The care was very impressive and thorough compared to other vets we have been to in the past. The doctors went over the care and aftercare plans extensively and spent a lot of time with us to make sure there were no questions. We still come here for follow-up visits and will continue to use Newman as our provider for all of our pet's care in the future. EXCELLENT JOB!!

I told here could I get an appt the next day she day sure there was one at 11:40..- Today. on time here I sit again 35 minutes later nothing asked the girl at the desk she said everybody was busy. WOW I just walk out the door voted the best clinic if you say so haven't got a change to meet the doctors. Maybe they are good who knowsl had to leave not waiting our wasting more time. SUGGESTION FOR THIS CLINIC DON'T MAKE APPOINTMENTS YOU CAN NOT KEEP THEM. DO A WALK IN ONLY THEN PEOPLE KNOW AND UNDERSTAND THEY HAVE TO WAIT AN HOUR TO BE SEEN.

This is strictly a review for the grooming - Don't EVER take a dog to be groomed there. I printed out 5 pictures and took a framed picture of how I wanted my dog cut and showed the groomer and she indicated that she understood. I went to pick the dog up and his body and legs were shaved down to the skin and stunk to high heaven. What little was cut instead of shaved was all uneven - the left side of his face was trimmed almost to the skin and the right side was long. He looks like a drowned rat and that's not exaggerating! I had to give him a bath when I got home he stunk so bad. Shaving a dog to the bone takes no skill whatsoever - If I simply wanted the dog shaved to the bone, I could have done that at home. This groomer apparently has never been to school for grooming as she couldn't even get each side of the face even. I've never been to grooming school and certainly do a better job than this. This was supposed to be a trim for the Christmas holidays - now he looks absolutely terrible and there is nothing I can do about it. I will NEVER take my dog there for grooming again.

You turned a disaster situation into a well-handled ordeal and my dog, after sedation and a few stitches, is doing great!This location is certainly out of the way for me but if I have another non-life threatening emergency or a procedure that has to be done - I feel confident that I can come here and get good care for my dog without being wildly overcharged.

Took my dog in for an ear issue, because I wouldn’t be able to get into my regular vet fast enough. I sat for THREE HOURS in this vets office. Explained how my regular vet normally treats the issue, to which the vet there told me I needed a surgical procedure and was uncomfortable with the less invasive treatment. Had to practically beg the doctor to follow my request rather than put in a drain. The doctor then implied that I was neglectful of my pet. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. Save your time, money and frustration. If you're looking for a vet that will pay attention to you and your pet go to Woodland Animal Clinic. Dr. Bailey listens to you and CARES about your pet and doing what is actually in their best interest and NOT what is the most expensive treatment option.

I have two cats and have been extremely pleased with this veterinary office. Excellent staff and in my experience they don't sell, they just provide the needed care. I took an injured stray to them this morning (Sunday and late hours how great!!!!) and the care she was given was outstanding. Yes, it will be a hit to my budget, but surgery was obviously necessary and the rates are fair. If I had to go to Seminole county to the emergency vet, it would have been quite a bit more. Thank you to this wonderful practice for taking care of my little kids.

A few years back, this review is late, I took my cat to this vet because liquid was oozing out of his mouth and nose. I allowed the vet to do whatever tests were necessary to diagnose the problem. After a few days of not being able to find the issue, and padding the bill with overnight vet stays (be sure to thoroughly read your bill) the only answer to this problem was to cut open my cat and explore to find the cause. During this time my cat also developed kennel cough and was so weak he was near death. As a local bartender, I don't think the vets expected me to be their bartender the night a group of the staff and one of the doctors were out getting completely drunk, but this was the night prior to them expecting me to let them preform experimental surgery on my cat. You can't even make up the irony of a situation like this. So needless to say I wanted to take my cat home and seek another vets opinion. When I went to pay my bill I reviewed it closely to find they charged me an extra night of stay on my bill, this is a lot of money mind you, and when I pointed it out to the clerk, she said would have a manager call me, but as of now, if I would like my dying cat back I would have to pay in full. I never was contacted by a manager. I was completely scammed for the highest vet bill I have ever received in my life and all they did was help kill my cat faster. I went to another vet, who recognized the issue immediately, he had a giant hairball stuck in his throat that he was slowly choking on. They removed it that day and he could breathe again. They charged me a reasonable price and cured the kennel cough that my pet received from this horrible facility. What prompts me to write this review years later, remembering all the pain and grief that place gave me, and the fact they scammed me out of my money and I never did get it back. I regret to this day not picketing outside this business until they at least returned my money from their error, and to warn anyone who loves their pet to stay away from this greedy money hungry despicable business.

I called this vet office at around 11 in the evening regarding an issue with my 1 year old kitten asking for their recommendation on if I should bring her in or if I should give her a little more time when she was having multiple issues. All they told me is they were open until 1 and it was up to me if I wanted to bring her in and were very snippy on the phone. I then called the 24 hour vet hospital in DeLand on 17-92 and they were extremely helpful and told me how much longer I could give her before bringing her in and that if any more symptoms developed before then to bring her in anyways. She did get worse so I took her there and they were wonderful! I recommend going to the one in DeLand over this one any day. If this office truly cared for all pets that can come through their door they should have been more kind and helpful over the phone. Definitely will not recommend Newman Veterinary Centers to anyone.

These people are the most compassionate and efficient I have ever dealt with in the veterinary field.
We brought in our very old dog who extremely regrettably had to be put down for reasons too terrible to list in this forum.
The ladies at the front desk saw to it that we were brought in the back immediately and we were quickly attended to.
The doctor did not put us through a lot of painful questioning and there was no judgment shown whatsoever. With just one look at our poor dog he agreed that there was no other loving option for him.
We were treated with the utmost of sympathy and kindness.
I held my dog until his last breath and I did not take it well.
The doctor was very kind and comforting, and he said all the right things to make it possible for me to let go of my dog so my husband and the assistant could place him in his coffin-shaped container as we had asked to take him home to bury next to his sister who had passed years earlier from a blood issue she had had since she was born.
They are together now, and as hard as this has been for me, having just taken place mere days ago, I truly don't believe any other hospital or center could have handled the situation any better and still treated us with such dignity after having to put down a family member who had degenerated so terribly and so quickly.
My grown daughter has gotten a new kitten to help her deal with the pain and void she now feels, and she will be bringing her kitten to Newman Veterinary Centers in Deltona as well.
This will be our vet for life. Thank you.

I'm writing this review on Yelp in hopes that someone from your office will call me. My pet Kimorah had surgery on March 7, 2017, to have bladder stones removed. She was treated with care and you got her in for surgery right away, but there has been no follow up. I have left over half a dozen messages both for the doctor and our vet tech to find out the test results of her stones that were sent to the lab for testing. I have never received a call back. This past Friday I called and was left on hold for 15 minutes. ...and couldn't get through after calling back several times. After spending $1300 plus on surgery, there should be proper systems in place so that you can provide appropriate follow up for your patients. At this point, I simply want to know what foods to avoid and confirmation that my dog is OK. I'm so deeply disappointed I don't know that I want to return. The staff and doctors were really friendly. I'm truly shocked.

I definitely appreciate their genuine care for all animals (I've been convinced) although I do not think it is right to write up an incorrect dose of prescription medication by writing a double daily dose when it was supposed to be a single dose (of 8mg worth of Ondansetron) and then when caught and corrected, their attitude about that mistake is that "it happens and we count on pharmacists to find these rare occurrences". That to me is not owning that a mistake was made on their part. The medication could lead to severe allergies or side effects with the right dosage. An animal can suffer worse than what they were to have received the prescription. That sort of problem recognition is unacceptable. You lose trust this way. Now I have to question all prescriptions from now on to make sure I don't experience an unnecessary death due to overdose.

My local Newman was without a backup vet and the Dr was in surgery. I was directed to Deltona, about 40 minutes away. Newman rushed my little guy in, without an appointment, and straight into the oxygen bed. We had a very fast Dx and Tx went home with our meds. They phoned us the next day and the next, and encouraged us to bring him back if anything developed. Sadly, he didn't make it, but the fast, correct care he received made his last days comfortable. After a week he is doing well. The staff is friendly and helpful. They are not my regular Vet, but I will keep them in mind for future service.

Doctors and Staff were very good. I would only suggest that there be a more efficient way to triage pets as they come in when they are very busy. I love the way they spend time on your pets problem but it seems rather than completely treating one pet at a time, they triage, order tests etc to help the flow a bit. Quality of your care however is excellent and I would recommend them immediately.

Distemper vaccines last from 5-7yrs but theirs only last a yr at most. When you point this out to them they send you your dogs medical records. Say you are rude. Thwn tell you to leave. Plus heartworm medication doesnt need to be given less than 45 days. If you miss 4 days pas the 30 day mark they want you to have another test for heartworms. $$$$

It was a parent's worst nightmare. Our 14 year old special needs boy suffered a seizure and couldn't stand. It was during the weekend when our long time family vet was closed. We walked into Newman carrying Wolfgang. A nurse came right out to us and carried Wolfy right in. Everyone on the staff couldn't have been nicer or more caring. The doctor took time to read the medical records we brought and even consulted with our regular vet by phone. Although Wolfgang's poor little body just couldn't take any more, the doctor tried valiantly to save him. He was compassionate and gave us time to make the hardest decision of all and he gave us time to be together. Newman was a light at a very dark time. They really do live up to their motto- we treat them like our own.

We brought our Pomeranian here last month for kidney failure after being misdiagnosed in Edgewater. They are open 9a-1am 7 days and have a full hospital facility on site. The place is extremely clean and all the staff were VERY courteous and helpful. They took blood and did labs on site and then admitted our Pomeranian family member to get intensive treatment. She stayed there for 5 days total and was very well taken care of. The staff regularly visited her and gave her a lot of love while she was there. We were able to call anytime and get updates on her status.The care was very impressive and thorough compared to other vets we have been to in the past. The doctors went over the care and aftercare plans extensively and spent a lot of time with us to make sure there were no questions. We still come here for follow-up visits and will continue to use Newman as our provider for all of our pet's care in the future. EXCELLENT JOB!!

New to Deltona and Florida and need a new vet.......Came here yesterday with an appt waited 45 min ask the front desk how much longer she said all the techs were busy , then was told about 10 more minutes not looking to sure that it would happen. I told here could I get an appt the next day she day sure there was one at 11:40..- Today. on time here I sit again 35 minutes later nothing asked the girl at the desk she said everybody was busy. WOW I just walk out the door voted the best clinic if you say so haven't got a change to meet the doctors. Maybe they are good who knowsl had to leave not waiting our wasting more time. SUGGESTION FOR THIS CLINIC DON'T MAKE APPOINTMENTS YOU CAN NOT KEEP THEM. DO A WALK IN ONLY THEN PEOPLE KNOW AND UNDERSTAND THEY HAVE TO WAIT AN HOUR TO BE SEEN.

The area was clean, the doctors were very nice & my doggie liked them. This vet came highly recommended & has lived up to their reputation. I confident in their service. Love that they have longer hours too. Thank you.

I took my Maine Coon cat there at MIDNIGHT in a panic because she bumped against a candle and got hot wax on her fur and burned herself. The girls at the front desk were extremely caring and understanding of my needs and the vet himself was awesome! AND, because of my current financial situation, the fees were waived. I would rate them SIX stars if I could!

This is strictly a review for the grooming - Don't EVER take a dog to be groomed there. I printed out 5 pictures and took a framed picture of how I wanted my dog cut and showed the groomer and she indicated that she understood. I went to pick the dog up and his body and legs were shaved down to the skin and stunk to high heaven. What little was cut instead of shaved was all uneven - the left side of his face was trimmed almost to the skin and the right side was long. He looks like a drowned rat and that's not exaggerating! I had to give him a bath when I got home he stunk so bad. Shaving a dog to the bone takes no skill whatsoever - If I simply wanted the dog shaved to the bone, I could have done that at home. This groomer apparently has never been to school for grooming as she couldn't even get each side of the face even. I've never been to grooming school and certainly do a better job than this. This was supposed to be a trim for the Christmas holidays - now he looks absolutely terrible and there is nothing I can do about it. I will NEVER take my dog there for grooming again.

Thank you for the attention to detail, service, convenient hours and affordable costs! You turned a disaster situation into a well-handled ordeal and my dog, after sedation and a few stitches, is doing great!This location is certainly out of the way for me but if I have another non-life threatening emergency or a procedure that has to be done - I feel confident that I can come here and get good care for my dog without being wildly overcharged.
