If possible I would rate 0 stars. I usually am not one to write reviews however I do believe this is necessary. I own a handsome all white American Bull dog, roughly 110 Lbs. A big boy. We brought him in because he was suffering from heat exhaustion at the dog park, the receptionists were rude & demanded payment for bloodwork that had not yet been done & for services that were not yet met, we were informed that our dog would be required to stay the night but we were to pay before leaving him for the night. The next morning, a call is received from the receptionist stating that the blood work ($367) was never done because the technician was frightened of his size, my dog was also refusing to eat their food because he did not trust them.Upon arrival the next day to collect him the receptionist with hand tattoos & black long hair was very rude to my family & myself & when asked if we would be refunded she gave a very snappy "mhm" & nothing more. The vet informed us that we had to go into the back of the hospital to retrieve our dog & found our animal in a small cage less that half his size & 2 IVs in. The vet had wanted to sedate our animal again to do blood work & charge us again. We refused & were told to hold him & even had to bandage his legs ourselves, he had also new injuries that were not on him previously- I.e. marks around the neck, bleeding on his right hind leg. We took him out of there the moment we removed the IV. Lastly the vet had told us that he was fed before we arrived, I know my animal & he has never taken food from strangers that have not built trust. I do believe that we were lied to be charged extra, the money isn't the problem it's the lack of care. Be warned this hospital doesn't not want to help animals they want to make money Read Less

This place is great! I had an amazing experience! The staff was very helpful, even went to my car to help me get my dog out since he had suffered a seizure. I would definitely recommend! I didn't have an appointment and was helped immediately! The pricing was reasonable and presented to me before anything was done on my dog, no surprise bill at the end. Went in last Sunday for my dog that she was throwing up and had seizures. They told me I had to pay them 1700 for her to be admited and be taken care of. I told them that I didn't have that type of money with me. They gave me other options like applying for credit but. My credit is no good. Right there I went online and looked up an insurance that would cover my dog the next day and I asked them if they can wait and they said no that I would have to pay them the 1700 now and then claim it to the insurance. I find this very stupid because my dog had to stay there several days anyways. They gave me my dog back told me they gave her some shots and hydrated her. They gave me my dog back exactly the same way I brought her. One hour later after hearing her cry and have seizures one after the other my dog died. I hope you guys are happy with the $218 that you got from me anyways. You should really think more about the people that don't have money but that are trying to save there pets life. I hope you are able to sleep at night knowing that you were able to safe a life but didn't because you guys are more concerned about getting paid the same day than actually saving a pet. Read Less

I cannot say enough amazing things about this animal hospital. This is the BEST vet in Miami, and quite frankly -- Dr. Shulman is the only vet I trust with my animals at this point. Situation: After 3 vets (low cost, mid-range, and top notch/luxury) all misdiagnosed our recently rescued kitten, Dr. Shulman confirmed our suspicion: she was going to be fine. Dr. Shulman proved that 3 vets did not properly read her X-Rays!! What the other vets thought was fluid filling her abdomen was just a normal X-ray for a kitten who doesn't have much intraabdominal fat to contrast the organs and provide more clarity! If we hadn't visited Dr. Shulman for a 4th opinion that day, our kitten would have been wrongfully euthanized. We particularly waited for the day that Dr. Shulman would be in so that we could bring one of our other pets in. She was amazing as always. We cannot imagine seeing anyone else -- though I'm sure the rest of their vets are great too! Their pricing is BEYOND fair. I brought my puppy with Hives here , we came in and automatically the lady in the front was a straight b****. She was very rude , didn't give three craps what we were talking about . We are taken to our room , and someone grabs our dog and says I will be back shortly . No one introduces themselves nor explains anything with the dog , until I pull someone from the front desk to explain to be how this hospital works . I assumed just like any human , when a patient arrives you ask questions and check on them in their room , not take them to a secluded area . Shortly doctor arrived and explained that the dog can be hospitalized for hives ? Lol are you kidding me ??? Trying to charge $919 for over night stay without running any exams on ny dog wants to assume it needs to be hospitalized . Even if my dog was NOT OK I would not leave it here . Sitauation: seeking treatment for démodex, with hyper aggressive pit bull I approached the counter to check in my pit that is wearing a muzzle. I had to continuously calm her and interrupt our check in process. Gabby the receptionist was so patient with me and held no attitude because of my delays. We were immediately seen in a clean animal friendly room. Though the wait times vary at this clinic... it's just the luck of the draw. (After 2100 you are no longer considered a "walk in" and consult fees are $98ish, from what I recall)During our triage with the vet tech Maria, my excessive pit continued to bark and even nipped at Maria's hand. With no illness towards my baby she continued with kindness. Thereafter I muzzled her for the assessment with Dr. Guzman. With his entry she became even more untamed and his approach overall seemed to be acceptable enough to calm her. His genuineness to move my untamed baby our of her own urine meant so much to me, as I was so embarrassed and stressed.  Plan of care of discussed and agreed upon. We took my beautiful puppy to this location mainly because it was the closest one to home, and it was 2 am.You need to ring the bell and they buzz you in. The receptionist at first was a bit stand offish but little by little she showed some empathy. We waited a very long time in between small check ups. They had many other pets in the back in worse conditions ( I hope they are all doing better ). I did not like that the vet wanted to make conversation about none important matters when my main concern was my dogs health, I had to cut her conversation to remind her why we were there. The only good thing about this place is that it's open 24/7. If you have an emergency you can take your pet there any time day or night. Dr. Suarez was very attentive and was able to diagnose my cat's hyperthyroidism after a stay at the hospital. The follow up visit with a different Dr. took about 3 hours. **** ATTENTION*** Be very careful with DORAL CENTRE ANIMAL HOSPITAL on 58th St. We have been going to this place for 16 yrs and this is what occurred today. Earlier I took my 3 dogs for a routine dental cleaning and throughout the day we got 4 different quotes and requests for additional services. It felt like taking your car for an oil change and the mechanic says you need new tires, brakes, engine and more gas. My husband called them to obtain the final amount. Upon going to the cashier, we were once again stunned with a raise in the amount. The errors are never in the customers favor. When my husband started asking the front girl to explain to him why the constant discrepancies we could not get a straight answer. He was not screaming he was talking when out of nowhere the lady at the front, heavy set, went to grab the office manager named Antonio. Here is the kicker, he got offended when I asked " Are you serious??? " We have been coming here for so many years and you go get this f'n Guy ? My husband continued to ask for an explanation and was unsuccessful. The commotion was now loud enough that the doctor was forced to come out and explain to us why the constant changes in pricing and how it was our ethical responsibility to pay for all of it. Mind you, before my husband asked for the explanation he paid the bill. We have been goin there so long that we knew there would be no discount, no reduction no real explanation for errors.The impression we have received numerous times at this place is that it's money first animals second. We have chosen to ignore this for some time because in the end we were comfortable there. Sadly today was the final straw for our family. It is a shame after so many years that it has come to this. However by the same token after so many years and so many recommendations one would not expected  to be treated like a walk in from down the street. Customer service is very important in business unfortunately when there is little to no competition in this field the customer truly suffers. I took my frenchie for an emergency visit she had to spend 24 hours at the vet with an iv for fluids and once I brought my dog home she was full of ticks she's a white frenchie so it was easy to spot them I'm very upset I called the vet she states my dog "didn't get the ticks there" yet my dog was dropped off tick free and now she's under going treatment for ticks awful experience I wouldn't recommend this place. I'm not quite sure just where to begin by expressing just how caring and loving everyone is at Doral Animal Hospital. I found this beautiful place online a few weeks ago when I my cat was in trouble medically. It turns out he was blocked with stones in his bladder. I made the mistake to take him somewhere else first and he became blocked yet again after he came back home. So I followed my instincts and the awesomeness I read about online about Doral Animal Hospital. I took him here and they were the best. Unfortunately, after about a week again he was in trouble. His blockage is definitely stubborn as it is determined to continue to occur. I called my friends at Doral and was advised to bring him back. I did so and they were so wonderful. They have taken such amazing care of my cat and have been so generous with me. I love this place and most importantly the techs, doctors, and owners are such special people. They have been such a blessing to my cat and to my family. Mere words cannot Express just how grateful we are to Doral Animal Hospital. Just in case you don't want to read this. BEWARE, they will take thousands of dollars from you and then won't fix anything!!!! I was told to put my 4 year old dog to sleep and she is perfectly healthy now because I didn't listen and took her out of there. There are okay things about this place but manyyy bad! My 4 year old golden doodle Bella gave birth and I didn't know she was pregnant. A couple days after she seems to be getting ill. I freaked out one of the nights and drove her to Doral animal hospital. My dog wasn't eating, moving, she was horrible. I took her there that night they did all the tests, in which all showed she was doing really bad in many ways. That night it was over $1,200. She stayed over night for 4 nights. More and more tests throughout the week. About the 4th day there, we had spent $6,000. They had done many tests, ultrasounds, X-rays. AFTER $6,000, they has "no idea" what was wrong with my dog. I visited my dog twice a day and every time she seemed like she was going to die on me. I saw every single doctor in there and no one was able to explain why this stuff was happening. Now, one thing that was certain was that my dog has "chronic kidney failure. Blood test after blood test her levels weren't coming down. With still no explanation on how this was caused, all the million of doctors that I was in there told me I was going to have to put my dog asleep .. okay so I have to put her to sleep but you can't explain why?!! They were practically cold heartedly giving up on her. My family and I decided to take her home after 5 days of being there. We said that if she was going to pass she can pass at my house. Now, when I took her home, I was told she hasn't eaten, or drank water. Now .. I took Bella home and the moment she got home she drank tons of water and her mood was getting better. My parents and I were doing what we can to try to help her, patiently, following the take home instructions. Now, this is where the situation gets insane. We took my dog to her regular doctor, did blood work etc. She still showed to be bad. She told me to continue the medication and some fluids she was on. He also, added a medication for her kidneys. Couple days later my dog was changing for the better, she had energy, drank water and even ate food! Two weeks passed and she seems to be back to normal, which we couldn't believe since we were told to put my dog to sleeep!!!! We did blood work again and all my dogs levels were back to normal. I do not understand how doral animal hospital told me to put my dog to sleep and has no explication for anything and now my dog is completely normal!!!! I am so glad I didn't listen to these people. My dog would be dead right now, without her family. Alone. My dog is healthy again, with us. These people that work at this "hospital" are so used to just giving up on dogs that they almost convinced my to put my dog to sleep.The only reason my dog is alive is because of my parents and my continued support and love. I am so grateful that I didn't listen to these people and put her down I am putting pictures of my dog at the hospital and then my dog now at home. This is absolutely incredible. Be careful!! I came in as a walk in because my dog had urine in his blood. Very helpful and kind staff. The technician made us feel very welcomed and comforting. The doctor was very knowledgeable and explain everything in detail and how the exams we needed for my dogs condition. For having many exams done on my pet it was not expensive. Took a stray that was mangled (both back legs completely broken and hanging by the skin, looked almost black) they charged $92.50. Had no card, paid cash $100. They can't give change so really the bill was $100 cause I'm never going there again. Come to find out I should not have been charged in the first place (it's the good samaritan clause). The weird thing is I don't have an account (strays don't get an account either) but they had to not just look at my drivers license but take a picture of it. Having a sick or injured pet is stressful enough and this animal hospital really helps to cut down on the stress! We brought our cat here for two different injuries and received really nice service for the most part. The receptionists up front are super nice and competent (although I liked the ones a night better than the daytime). We did notice that you're going to have a wait no matter when you come in, (unless it's a super emergency!), which gets a little frustrating. All of the doctors and vet techs were great, although I wish that we had gotten a little more time with the doctor the second time. Due to a language barriers we left our cat overnight for surgery not really having a full grasp of what was going to happen. They do charge you $97 if you go during "emergency hours" (9pm-9am) or if it's a life threatening emergency they requires immediate care. I think that's worth it if you're in such a panic about your pet. The vet tech will go through a list of charges on the iPad and then you pay as you leave. If they don't end up doing everything they say they were going to do, you'll get reimbursed when you go back to pick up the animal. Overall I've had good experiences during scary and stressful times here and I would bring back my cat in a second if something else goes amiss. Read Less

I took my dog here twice. The first visit was good now the second visit my dog had diarrhea they started talking about getting x-rays done some blood work and some other stuff that was going to cost us over $500 the doctor literally came in for 15 minutes and left and  we let them know that we didn't have that much money. you would think they would want to help us so we got sent some medication with us and still nothing they and we paid almost $200 and my dog still has diarrhea I will never take my dog here again I'm on my way to another vet. They're very expensive and for nothing because it didn't even  help my dog. staff is great and caring. The only thing I would say is to be cautious about some of the Dr recommendations. We brought our dog in for blood in the urine, The doctor wanted us to consent for sedation, straight cath and xrays for a clean urine sample. That cost was over $700.I opted in attempting to collect it naturally and the cost was below $50. Of course it wasn't  a sterile sample, but it did the job. I don't know why there are any negative reviews on this hospital. I was referred here by my primary vet because my 3 month old shih tzu, Toby was having trouble breathing. From the moment we walked in the girl at the front I don't remember her name but she loved Toby even though he peed on her *he does that when he's excited or scared of new people*. She took him right to the doctor and in minutes I had an estimate on what the test they were going to do on him would cost me. The doctor came in and spoke to me and explained everything that they were going to do and what she believed he had. She was very knowledgeable and had an answer for every question. Once all the test came back she then prescribed medication for him, he even ate and he hasn't been eating very well. All in all it was a very scary situation for me because my sweet boy means the world to me and anything that may happen to him no matter how little is very concerning and I felt comfortable with the hands he was in. This was in the morning he wasn't playing he wasn't really in the mood and after the first dose of medication I see my buddy going back to his normal self and to any dog parent you know that feeling of relief seeing a healthy pup. If I could I would rate this place negative stars. My neighbors told me never to go there because all they care about is money. One day I had no choice to go there as my dog was attacked by another dog and his two jaw bones were broken in half. They refused to operate and charged me $2000 in morphine while keeping my dog with a broken mouth for two days without operating. I literally heard the surgeon (some tall Mexican guy with short hair) say, "I don't care about that dog, I want to go to Fort Lauderdale today." He gave me some BS excuse and didn't even let me get a word in and left the building. The staff are all fake as hell, they kept saying they were calling every hospital possible and no one had room for him. I called the first hospital I found and they took him in immediately and told me that no such Doral Animal Center called to ask for a surgeon for my dog. I can't find words to express the amount of gratitude I have for everyone at Doral Center Animal Hospital. From the girls at the front desk to the techs and the doctors everyone there is absolutely amazing. I purchased a puppy online (Craigslist) for my daughter but unfortunately the seller never told me the puppy was sick, within 4 days my new puppy was dying. I'm a full time single father and a disabled veteran, I honestly was not going to be able to afford the medical attention my puppy needed, I was going to be forced to surrender her. To make a long story short, not only did Doral Centre save my puppy's life but they covered all medical expenses for me. I brought my dog in last night for vomiting and diarrhea and this was the closest 24 hour location that was open. I can't complain too much about the front desk staff because she was very nice and understanding but as far as the Vet we only saw his face once. I believe his name was Christian Perales and I understand it's late at night and he was probably tired but the only time that we interacted with him, he didn't look like he really cared. The girl from the front desk is the one we interacted more with and was the one explaining the charges to us and what the Dr suggested to do for our dog which was ridiculously expensive and seemed a bit excessive. I don't know if I'm just used to the service we receive from our primary vet but at least interact with your patients a little bit more. I STRONGLY recommend this animal hospital for anyone seeking the best care for their furry loved ones! I recently took my newly adopted kitten for emergency care...she was near death and in a comatose state when I arrived. She had gone into hypoglycemic shock early in the morning. She was also severely dehydrated and emaciated. All signs indicated there was a very small, if any, chance she'd survive, as it is expected with kittens at such a young age (5 weeks). Within moments of walking in, a staff member immediately took her to the back and the vets on site made every attempt possible to bring her around. Within an hour, her vital signs began to stabilize and soon after, she was sitting up and I was able to see her again. They kept her overnight to monitor her incase she began to decline in health again and I was able to take her home the following morning. I have the utmost gratitude and appreciation for Dr. Joy Carter and Dr. Becky Brumm, both of which showed be nothing but kindness and reassurance. They, along with their friendly staff, were diligent in their work, very attentive to my kitten and compassionate and understanding of my financial situation, not once ever putting the kitten's life at an ultimatum and trying to work with me as best as they could. We i paid got no medication for him they did nothing for him next day he was bleeding until no more could be done. Our Artemis has received the absolute best care while at Doral Centre Animal Hospital. It has been her home away from home over the last month, and I can honestly say everyone there treats her as if she's their own. Everyone told us surviving Feline pan-leuk was difficult, but they never gave up on her and walked us through every step of the treatment - no matter how many complicated twists it took. We brought our furry baby here in distress. They treated us immediately & gave us a fair assessment of her health. Unfortunately, we had to put her to sleep. My cat is still with them fighting parvo for the past week. My wife and I adore our cat so much and we call them 4 times a day for an update and they never have a problem with it. One of the vets had lunch with my cat to make sure she ate. Amazing staff and I couldn't think of any other animal hospital I would trust with my cat in this hard time. This was the worst vet clinic experience I've ever had. Went in for an emergency last night. Was told several different things by different techs and doctors who seemed to not know what was going on. At 1 point a doctor said the tech probably got my cat mixed up with another one. What?! What if you accidentally euthanized her then?! Insane. Was there for 4.5 hours for a procedure that typically takes 45 minutes (I used to be a vet tech). I will never bring a pet here again. Read Less

My Boxer rosie started pooping straight blood on Sunday night, pretty much the most inconvenient time for any animal to get sick considering mostly everything is closed. I called Doral Centre Animal Hospital and told them what was going on and they had me come in right away. The front desk girls attended my dog with an urgency that matched my own, the doctors were extremely thorough when it came to finding out what was wrong with her. When the bill came and I couldn't afford such a high number, they worked with me and my budget so that my dog would be treated. They answered all of my questions and made sure I understood what happened to my dog, why it happened, and how I could prevent it from happening again. The clinic staff (front desk) and technicians are great,. Doctor Zachary Gouzopoulos is the best, he has a beautiful heart and he loves dogs. My dog died in my arms and he was crying with me at that moment, but Dr. Becky Brumm is only about money and business. Be careful with her, she doesn't have a good heart. I have 3 pets that are patients here & the service here is very caring & compassionate. You can tell by how they interact with you pets that they truly love animals. The clinic seems like a very well ran business...they cover all aspects of my pet's health and keep me informed on things I need to keep watch of or be concerned of. I give this company top rating. I have used them when I am in the Miami area (I live in North Carolina) since 2005. They have helped me with the care of aging, diabetic cats, and showed concern and extended the playful life of my diabetic kitty. My current cat has had numerous medical problems, and they have brought me into their office each time the same day that I called, and referred me to specialists when needed. I am happy to call Doral Centre Animal Hospital my Miami Veterinarian. We spend about 50% of our time here with my husband's work, so we sometimes are frequent visitors. Read Less

Let's see: I like the parking lot a whole lot, because it's convenient especially when you have a pet and are in a rush. In regards to the service, I've taken my dog here quite several times and they've always been consistently pleasant and professional treating my dog, but be prepared to wait. I thought I was crazy thinking they are too expensive, but reading my fellow yelper's reviews, I realized I wasn't out of my mind- whew! Girls at the front desk are always smiling and willing to help, which I think is GREAT, but like I said, the prices turn me off. I've had to switch vets twice because I can't stand the people at the front, so I'll give them that! Also, place is surprisingly clean and unlike other animal hospitals I have visited, or even assume, it does not smell like animals. Read Less
