I've taken my dog here since I adopted her when she was 6 months and now she's almost 10 yrs old. The staff and Dr are so friendly and you can tell they care about your pet and they give them the attention it needs. I moved and it's no longer close to me but I can't think of taking my dog anywhere else. They also open Saturdays and have grooming and boarding service so that's an additional incentive. My only negative would be the cost but it helps if you have insurance. I am so regrettable I overlooked the only one star review before I visited this place. It is a rip off. I have exactly same experience with the one star review lady before me. They charged me $600 and never told me what happened to my dog. It is like you go to a hospital, the doctor asks you to do x-ray and other exams before they can tell you anything and those tests are already $600. I ended up going to other pet clinic who only charged me $48 and the bums on my dog are gone. So keep away from this place is my sincerest advice. When I moved to Doral I needed a vet who understood the chronic issues my cocker spaniard Stuart had. And I found that in Dr Diaz and his staff. They have the utmost compassion. Besides medical issues, I used them for grooming and boarding as I know my furry Babies are in good hands. When I had to put down my Stuart, the whole staff was great. He went down in style in a Miami heats Jersey. My new puppy Baymax gets to go for a vacation at the clinic. They know the animals by name. Dr Rick Daz and all his staff are one of the best examples of compassionate human beings who are highly competent, each in their specific area of responsibility. Our cats have been clients and patients of Dr Daz for over 18 years and they have always been focussed ensuring they were healthy and comfortable while attentive to our emotional involvement with them. Kika, a female cat of ours lived for 22 years, much due to Dr Daz care. And Mendy - a male cat we adopted who had AIDS - would have died soon thereafter had it not been for the special attention he got from Dr Daz and his staff. Dr Diaz has been my vet for more than 10 years and 3 dogs. The staff is extremely competent and more importantly, friendly and compassionate.  My most memorable experience with Dr Diaz is the passing of my cocker spaniel "Coach", who lived for a healthy 15 years thanks to the care of Dr Diaz.  Dr Diaz was on vacation with his family when coach passed on, but he took the time to call me once his staff gave him the news.  My 2 new boys Jack and Jonny are treated like family each time we visit. Best animal clinic ever!!!   My husband and I have taken all of our dogs to them since 1998. Dr Diaz is the only vet I would ever trust to take care of my pets and while we don't even live in Doral we gladly travel the extra mile for his services. He is friendly, professional and extremely medically knowledgeable. The staff is attentive and friendly and always greet my two dogs with love. I also appreciate that they always follow up with a call after each visit to check up on them.  I have referred Pet Care Clinic to tons of friends and my own customers and each one has had nothing but great experiences to speak of. When it came time to put our older dogs down Dr. Diaz and his staff helped us through this horrible time with genuine compassion and love. If I can't leave my dogs with family, I won't board them anywhere but the Pet Care Clinic because they treat my dogs like my family treats them. I actually live in Weston, but don't mind the drive down for the sake of my pets.  The facility is clean. The reception staff are extremely kind and refer to my dogs by name as soon as they walk in. Our beagles have been patients of the Pet Care Clinic for almost four years since we moved to Florida from Chicago. From the beginning the Pet Care Clinic has welcomed us and made us feel like family. Dr. Diaz is an incredible veterinarian. He is thorough and professional with wonderful bedside manner. He is very patient and always takes the time to answer questions without making you feel as if he is rushing. The techs, Ricky and Bianca, are so good with our dogs and incredibly knowledgeable. They always great our beagles with a smile and hug regardless of how crazy our dogs are :). We truly feel that they care about our pets well-being because of the way they interact with our dogs and the fact that either the techs or Dr. Diaz himself always call the day after an appointment to make sure there are no problems and no questions. The office manager, Melissa, always does everything she can to fit us in with appointments in emergences and she works constantly with our pet insurance to make sure the paperwork is in order and our files are not lost in the shuffle. She is incredibly meticulous and kind. All of the staff go above and beyond their jobs and their dedication to their work shines through in each visit and phone call. Whenever you walk through the door you are always greeted with a smile (the vet is one of our two year old's favorite places to visit!). I just recently moved to Doral, FL and was looking for a new vet for my kitten, Jinx. I couldn't be happier that I found this place. I called to ask about setting up Jinx's first kitten vet visit, and the woman on the phone was very nice and accommodating. Upon arriving at the clinic for his visit, everyone there was very sweet, and it was obvious that all the workers had so much love for animals! All the staff we encountered treated Jinx very well and when he had to get blood drawn, despite how angry he was (it was the first time he had ever hissed!), the staff took care of him and were not rough like some vets I've seen can be. One of the employees even calmed Jinx down afterwards and let him play with the necklace that he was wearing to make him more comfortable.Jinx has his next vet visit with them tomorrow morning, and I just received a phone call from one of the employees confirming his appointment. Again, they were very nice and able to answer any and all of my questions and concerns.All in all, this place is better than I could have hoped for in finding a vet. Read Less

Don't take your pet to the Pet Care Clinic of Doral!!!!!! They only care about the money. I have two lhasa apso dogs and they have both been here several times. First of all, don't use their grooming services. My dogs were uncomfortable for more than three weeks after getting groomed here. One of my dogs actually cried while scooting his butt for an entire week. Even Petsmart grooming is better than that. Second, they love to add extra charges all over the place. You take your dog in for something you think is only going to be $100, (hoping less) and you leave spending $300 on who knows what. One specific bad experience I had was when I took my dog in for a booster shot. I had to come in two weeks or so after the first shot. I thought, ok, this place likes to charge a lot so I expect around $100. I showed up ten min early, like I always do, and ended up waiting an hour and a half for the vet to show up!! They told me they could hold my dog and call me later... for a booster shot. I had an appointment and his excuse was that he was stuck in traffic. Really... you live in Miami and you don't plan for traffic. How does traffic make you and hour and half late... That's besides the point, they ended up charging me $190!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For a booster shot. When I asked why they said they did an entire physical including a deworming liquid they put up my dog's nose. I never asked for a physical or deworming liquid shoved up my dog's nose. This "physical" was them touching my dog. I can touch my dog for cheaper. Unless you're extremely rich and like overpaying and being treated like the shit that comes out of your dog... Don't go here! Don't go here! Don't go here! Don't go here! For the past twelve years, we have been bringing our family dog Gigi to the pet care clinic of Doral and the service has not only been consistent but exceptional.  So much so that when we moved from Doral 4 years ago we refused to have Gigi seen by any other vet or board elsewhere.  We go to Dr. Diaz because his knowledgeable, responsive and caring.  His staff is accommodating and have solid customer service/skills.  I felt compelled to write this review because in my search for the clinic's website to schedule an appointment I came across a negative review which shocked me.  I want the public to know that review placed by this disgruntled person is not consistent with the positive experiences we've had the clinic for 12 years.  These are very professional people and you should feel very comfortable to take your pet there.  True to Dr. Diaz' character, he is open to hearing and addressing concerns proactively---another reason we give them our business.  Thank you Dr. Diaz and your staff for the amazing care you have given our pets and our community. The first time I walked into the pet care clinic I was welcomed with a hello and smile form the receptionist. The lobby was clean and it didn't smell like an animal clinic. I let them know that my pet enzo was not eating and having on and off diarrhea. The receptionist got all of my information and I waited only 5 min for everything to be prepared. I then was escorted to the rooms by the technician who introduced herself. She was very kind to enzo and he liked the attention. When the doctor came in, he introduced himself and asked what had been going on. He let me know what he recommended and gave me an estimate. I agreed to do everything for him and let them know that I was strapped for cash. They said it was no problem and that they could break it up into two payments, That was great, I didn't think that they would let me do that. They proceeded with the exams and everything came back fine. I was given medication to give him and a special diet. They gave me a follow up in one week and called the next day to see how he was doing, that was very nice. Everyone was great they were quick and helpful to my pet. They showed that they cared about his health and also helped me since I couldn't pay it all at one time. I would definitely come back to the pet care clinic. Read Less

The doctor and staff are exceptional. My dog, Poker, had a swollen ear. I was worried because I had lost my job recently and knew that he might need sugery. I called several clinics and they all said that I would have to pay in full the day of service. When I phoned the pet care clinc they told me to bring in my pet right away and that "payment would be taken care of later". Poker was diagnosed with an ear hematoma. The surgery was a success. I am currently on an interest free payment plan with the clinic and Poker is doing fantastic! The doctor and staff were worried about my pets health not money like every other clinic I called. This clinic is very expensive has to be one of the most expensive In doral. Services offered aren't that good. The Staff is very rude and show very little effort to help.
