Initially, I really liked and trusted Dr. Masters and his staff. Unfortunately, over the last year, I've caught several mistakes. Had I not been persistent and questioned Dr. Masters, this last mistake would have ultimately resulted in the death of my cat. It's really scary. I want to be able to trust my vet and i honestly can't trust Dr. Masters' judgement. He said there was no way my cat had bladder stones, although that was the ultimate diagnosis. The testing and diagnostics he recommended weren't even necessary in the end and just prolonged my cat's discomfort and suffering. He also under went two surgeries instead of one and had to be kept over night. This all could have been avoided with a simple ultrasound, which should have been the first step, but Dr. Masters was hell bent it was not bladder stones. I also ended up paying financially for his negligence and poor judgment. I paid for unnecessary diagnostics, surgery and overnight care. I tried to politically bring this up to the receptionist when paying the $2500 bill. I couldn't believe how defensive and rude she immediately became. I don't like confrontation and i could tell i wasn't going to get anywhere without an argument. I decided it wasn't worth the fight. I'm just grateful my wallet is all that's left effected and ultimately my cat is okay. I will never go back. This wasn't the first mistake and i know it wouldn't have been the last. Read Less

Dr. Masters and his staff are incredible. They actually care about your pet and treat you like family. Dr. Masters listens to everything you tell him and is very compassionate. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Read Less

We have been to several veterinarians over the past 20 years. We have been with Dr. Masters at Main Street Animal Hospital for 6 years. We have never gotten the feeling we were charged for unnecessary treatments, or that he has seemed clueless about what was necessary for good practice. I think, in general, most vets do a pretty good job. But we have always left the Main Street Animal Hospital with the confidence that the "i"s were dotted and the "t"s were crossed. Over priced. They also run the tests on your pets without asking you a permission first and charge you for it. The vet is very uneducated, lack knowledge and compassion. I absolutely hated how he treated my dog. Very disrespectful. Read Less

I brought my 19-year-old cat today for her 1st checkup in Florida.  Dr. Hughes was fantastic with her and even shaved some of her badly matted fur that prior vets were unwilling to do without sedation.  Dr. Hughes' staff could not have been more welcoming or supportive, and I look forward to bringing my other two felines next month to this wonderful office! I was recently referred to Dr Masters by a friend For a cat I had rescued from a dumpster. Unfortunately he has cancer , but Dr Masters Is precise , not overly aggressive and just sheer And true devotions to animals and humans. From the moment I opened the door and was greeted By an outstanding staff and I do mean OUTSANDING, I felt like I not only have known everyone there for years, but also I felt like part of the family because that's what they are. One big family. I have only had one other vet in my 67 years of owning pets and Never thought I could find one as caring, loving, Smart, and I just can't say enough good things! Dr.Masters called me several times to check on how my dog was doing, unfortunately our pet was too far gone but the doctor called the day after he passed to reassure me there wasn't anymore that could of saved him, not only does he care for his patients but there families as well!! Most amazing Vet hospital ever! We love Dr Masters and trust our baby's life in his hands! He has saved our dog's life twice and diagnosed his skin problems others vets missed from across the room upon 1st meeting him. The staff is phenomenal and nice to feel like visiting with friends. I cannot say enough good things about Main Street Animal Hospital! We've had excellent care for our three dogs from Dr Masters and the entire office-- fabulous vet techs and office staff- for a couple of years now. We've known Dr. Masters for over five years personally, and switched to Main Street a year or two ago when our long-time veterinarian retired. What a great decision! Dr Exelby is newer to the office and she is really caring and a wonderful veterinarian as well, especially with our elderly Cocker/Cavalier. From our new pug puppy to our 16 year old senior and our middle-aged pug in between, we know that our dogs are getting the very best care possible from Dr. Masters and crew. Every person in the office will treat your animal with the love and excellent veterinary care they deserve, and they are absolutely the best to work with from a human's point of view. We have been with Dr Masters and his staff for 13 years and cannot say enough about the professionalism, caring and compassion that every single person in the office exhibits. Wonderful veterinarians and staff! I am so happy to have my dogs seen by this excellent practice. Dr Masters just performed surgery on our pug, and I felt well-informed and confident that he was in good hands under Dr. Master's care. We have been with Main St Animal Hospital for almost 12 years. Dr. Masters is amazing. I recommend them to anybody and everybody even when people don't ask me for a vet:). We have had our share of new additions, sickness and loss. Dr Masters always has a way of making the vet experiences calm and easy for my dogs and myself!! He gets on the floor and loves on the dogs like they are his own. They actually LOVE going to the vet. :) During the 2 losses I felt very comforted and the staff never ceases to amaze me. I grew up with Greg, sorry Dr. Masters, and there was never ever ever any doubt about what he wanted to do. It was clear, daily, that he was going to be an incredible Veterinarian, period. The snakes, and lizards, and mice and turtles, and birds, and everything that he used to catch, care for, feed one to the other, that was and is his (professional) life. So if you're looking for a vet that both 100% loves his craft and is at the top of the industry, then Greg, er, Dr. Masters is your guy. I discovered Dr. Masters and Dr. Snow at Main St Animal Hospital simply by coincidence by searching the phone book for a local vet a few years back. It was a saturday and something seemed to be going on with my cat, we were looking for someone who could see him the same day and their office was happy to work us in. Ever since then, we do not bring any of our beloved cat babies anywhere else but here. The staff at the front desk is always efficient, caring and personable. They make a point to remember everyone by name and are kind in times of desperation when something might be wrong with your pet and they know you might be worried! They treat the animals well and we feel confident leaving our babies there with them while they take good care of them to figure out what's going on. All 3 of my cats have come here before and every experience we've had with them has been good. They always work us in last minute when needed and have flexible hours including saturday times.I would recommend Dr. Masters and his office staff to absolutely anyone in need of a special caring doctor for their fur babies! Dr. Masters and his entire staff are absolutely amazing. After seeing some pretty awful vets, I was so happy to find one that truly cares about my pets and always goes that extra mile.
