We have used PAH for 20 yrs. Every tech and Vet is compassionate, love animals , and is so honest is working with your pets. Just recently, I had to put my two 15 yr old pups to Rainbow Bridge. It was a difficult decision with Dr. Vodevic giving me honest feedback on what my babies were feeling. The entire clinic was caring and said good bye to Percy and Beau. Our first visit to PAH was today! Our pooch, Samson, loved it and so did we! The facility is clean, spacious, and displays are inviting. The receptionists were warm and knowledgeable (I apologize for not catching their names). Our appointment was swift (which is to be expected for the annual exam of a healthy young adult dog)! I went to this clinic because at the time I lived on Fleming Island and that's where the Dogs had been treated. (I inherited both dogs.) "Ziggy," my Peek-a-poo developed a limp and I took her in to be checked out. After a series of X-rays and examinations, I was informed Ziggy would need to be referred to an Orthopedic Specialist for paw surgery. Apparently she had several broken bones in the paw. I asked what was the estimated cost? She estimated $5000-6000.00? I asked how much would it cost to put her down? The Vet freaked when I asked that question. She then said she'd check into other options and give me a call. Sure enough, she called me about an hour later saying she had found a "Sponsor" that would pay for the surgery but I'd have to surrender ownership. But, I also refused that option. Ziggy is an AKC registered animal and of considerable value; I wasn't gonna just give her away. I then asked, how much would it cost to amputate the damaged limb? Again the Vet freaked out. Finally the Vet suggested splinting the paw and waiting to see what developed. I asked, "How much" and she said $50.00 which I agreed to. By this point I was irritated because she should have offered this option initially; rather, they tried all these up sales which I declined. Then they tried to trick me into surrendering my Dog. Now here's the KICKER. I took Ziggy home and she limped around about 24 hours with the splint. Then I noticed the splint laying on the floor. Found Ziggy UP STAIRS in the house walking normal and running around like noting happened to her paw. Yet, 48 hours ago the paw was so severely damaged it REQUIRED Orthopedic Animal Surgery. I wouldn't trust these people with a prayer at prayer meeting. Read Less

We have taken both of our yorkie's here and they treat them with love and care It's very hard to find a place where you feel good about the staff and veterinarian's to take care of your dogs and help them feel better. We had a very bad experience at another vet with my older yorkie, Hershey, and expressed my concern to them about the situation, and the veterinarian took an alternative method with no hesitation with my younger dog, Kylo & Hershey. They're a little pricey but my dogs are everything to me and I would rather have quality treatments and staff/veterinarian's take good care of them than question how my dogs are being treated. I have been taking my dogs to Plantation since it opened. There is no finer place to take a pet. They look after each one as though it is their own. One of the things I appreciate about them is their sensitivity to my concerns. Years ago, I had an aging dog, and they guided me through the process of knowing when her time was at an end. After having our beloved Peanut for 14 years we had to make the difficult decision to have him put to sleep. It was a very difficult and challenging decision for our family. We found Plantation Animal Hospital and made our way there. We had never been seen and had no previous experience with this facility and found the staff and Dr. Cone were great. Peanut was our daughters dog and this past September she moved to Kansas and during the whole process Dr. Cone spoke with her on the phone and kept her involved in the process. It was amazing to see his compassion for our situation. This all took place after hours on the Saturday after Christmas and none of the staff rushed us and let us ask any and all questions that we had. Dr. Cone even took time out of his day two days later to call us and check up to see how we were doing. I highly recommend Dr. Cone and Plantation Animal Hospital. Read Less

The care my Boxers get from Dr. Fred and Dr. Sherry is awesome. We have been with Plantation Animal since 2004? Wow. My Mom and sister was with them when we moved here from Ohio. Sam and Lily have used every service they offer and have had great outcomes. We had some sad times, scary times, but mainly good times. I would not trust my dogs at another vet. I have been going to Plantation Animal Hospital for around 10 years now. Their vets are all very knowledgeable, friendly, and have your pets best interest in mind all of the time. They are very thorough, if you are looking for a bargain basement vet, that just gives you your shots and are on your way, this is not the place for you. However, if your dog or cat is part of the family, and you want to make sure they are healthy, and that your vet listens to you when you have a health concern, and makes sure they find the problem THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! Dr. Sheri does acupuncture on elderly dogs for arthritis, and you can even get adequan (liquid glucosamine) shots here to help your pups as the age. Plantation has also been with us through the sad times, recommending cancer and heart specialists to me when my four legged kids got older and ill, and they were right there with me to help them over the rainbow bridge in the most compassionate manner, and even helping me pick out urns after the fact. I have moved about an hour away to the beach, but I still bring my dogs across town to Plantation, because I know there isn't a better veterinary office around!Read Less

Devastated by her prognosis, we were extremely anxious about Stella's quality of life. Emotionally torn, we turned to Dr Fred Cohn for a second opinion. His expertise and compassion not only gave Stella a positive direction in her state of well-being, but as an added bonus, he was able to hold our expenses down. Today, Stella is romping around, and we can see a twinkle in her eye and a bounce in her step again.
