Tragic Update 4-27-18! The dog of my mom is now DEAD! THEY KILLED HER 😢 after all the complications and rapid decline in health since taking our dear Ishtar (yorkie) to Animal cancer "careless" clinic not only she was paralized , the same night after the meds and iv they did on her, she ended up with seizures and a blood cloth or stroke and thanks to them and the way they treat you like scum and punish you if you complain and ask to see a competent dr., when i asked to see another doctor asap since this was an emergency and their dr. Messed up big time They should of cared and try to fix the damage the inept dr. TANYA GUSTAFSON caused so much damage that lead to Ishtars death in pain and right after! Its not a coincidence. We saw an awesome oncologist in NY that gave her a year if cancer left untreated and the worst they couldn't care less. They're probably laughing on the way to the bank right now with their super high pricess and arrogant actitudes. Hope karma pays them a visit! so heartbreaking and then they wash their dirty hands with the super inhumane manager sherry, oh yes just wait for their lies, excuses and response after this comment, because they can't deal with the truth of the results of their incopetence and inhumanity! please save some heartbreak and keep your dogs safe and alive take them to someone with real knowledge that cares, knows and someone that if you have a problem will respond and treat you kindly after all you have enough to worry with the cancer without they treating you like garbage after they charge. Do you want to hear you're now disabled pet is not welcome there. because they know they caused it and want to avoid looking a your eyes, they're all about money! you guys should have a heart and have a conscience. i'm forced to put a one star due that i can't put a BELOW CERO JUST TO LEAVE THIS REVIEW AND HELP OTHERS CHOOSE WISELY A COMPETENT DOCTOR WITH CARING STAFF. WISH I WOULD OF READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE. NOW YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. BLESSINGS! here's my moms true story: " i'm so upset about the way dr Tanya gustafson treated my mom's dog ishtar, I went with her to the consult and she hadn't even seen the reports or x-rays when i asked her about it, she said she hadn't gotten it when the girls in the office lobby confirmed they did. She didn't even bother to do her job and see ishtars medical report and history when she came in she didn't even see the tests and xrays that were sent to her. so cold and lack of interest in my dog she did a bone iv med on my dog my daughter and i asked her if there were side effects she replied none at all, that night my dog had a brain stroke and seizures and i found out the next day through an emergency consult with the dog neurologist check up next morning that her left brain was damaged as her back right leg!!!" update 4/23/18 i got a call today from the clinics "Inhumane, uncaring and uncompassionate supervisor sherry" saying that my dog is not welcomed there anymore!!! plus of course thet denied it was their fault i do have a written report from the neurologist where the treatment caused her a seizure /stroke ending in a paralysis that same day they administered the treatment there ! Theres no coincidence there when I google side effects were all listed there but dr. Gustafson with her lack of interest or education said there was not a side effect, when we urged her twice if she was sure. Maybe she should consult with google or go back to school before treating, disabling and killing already sick patients. Please don't risk your loving pet! I wouldn't mind paying the super high prices they charge if only they knew what they were doing or at least cared a little, don't waste your money and avoid heartache by risk your doggies life. They'll mess up and not even try to help. Find a good caring doctor in a good responsible and humane animal hospital.... ... Hopefully you'll never hear the words, "Your dog has cancer" come out of your vet's mouth... but if you do, Animal Cancer Care Clinic is the place to go. The initial visit was scheduled in their main Fort Lauderdale location. I wondered if I was going to a doctor's office or a spa... the lobby was modern and stylishly decorated, and the staff could not have been more friendly. For the next visit, we were able to see the same doctor and nurse at their South Miami location which is much closer to where I live. Certain days of the week they practice out of the PET Emergency Room located at 6394 S Dixie Hwy which is not nearly as nice or spacious, but gets the job done. I found the time, attention and follow up to be very thorough and caring. I'm not sure how the prices compare to other options (or if there are other options) but as you'd expect, chemotherapy is not cheap, but they do a great job of explaining the treatments and prognoses. I have been to this location for two separate occasions. Once, back in June to talk about my pups osteosarcoma with Dr. Correa. She was helpful and Dr. Weinstein provided me with information about the amputation and what to expect. He was AMAZING after this procedure. He responded to emails about some concerns quickly and even after we've had to return for another incident, he said to keep him updated even if he wasn't involved. Back in August when we had the amputation, there was a girl that was AWFUL. She was rude, no compassion whatever and just flat out didn't seem to care. After having to deal with her attitude after our first round of chemo, I decided I didn't want to put up with her anymore, so we did chemo elsewhere. Fast forward to January 2018, we're back for what might be another tumor, I reach out to Dr. Weinstein and express my previous concerns and my hesitation to come back. We set up an appointment and everything seems good. A couple of days they call to confirm and I don't reply. The day before the appointment, the call again telling me they needed to change it and if I show up at my previous time I will be considered late. What?!?! I call back and tell them to cancel it because I'm tired of this sort of treatment. I remind them I'm not bringing my pup in because he has something simple like the sniffles. This is some major stuff. Can you please just be NICE? For my pup's sake, I decide to try it again. We're to see Dr. Dominguez. He. Is. AWFUL. He walks in the room without introducing himself (I end up initiating that) and preceded to ask me why I was there. I admit, I probably looked at him like 'seriously?'. I lead the conversation off with which pup we're here for and he then blurts out my pup's general past medical history. He doesn't give me any options, he doesn't tell me anything that I haven't read online and spends perhaps 5-10 minutes with us before he leaves and we're no better off than we were 30 minutes ago. There's been no follow up. He didn't even know if anything was broken, nor did he give me any options other than radiation. Well, what he did give me was plenty of attitude. I will say, the front desk is so much better now. I stayed and chatted with them for a few minutes and they're great. Read Less

So, my dog had a large mass growing from his eye. Our local vet said because it was so close to the eye they could not take it off. Someone I ran into recommended Dr. Buss to have the surgery done. I called and got an appointment for a consultation right away at the Fort Lauderdale office. He was extremely knowledgeable and not pushy at all. I could tell he wanted the best for my dog and thoroughly explained the process in detail. I scheduled an appointment a few days later for my dog to have the surgery. On a number of occassions I had to call during off hours - which connects me to the Fort Lauderdale Hospital. We took our almost 13 year old dog in after a routine dental found a small mass that turned out to be oral melanoma.  They were very kind and sweet with our dog.  The tech asked us questions about him then took him in back and the DR.  Gave him a good once over.  She then came in and gave us our options.  She did tell us it is a slow growing cancer. She answered questions with the exception of if this was your 13 year old dog what would you do.  I knew we wouldn't get an answer that is a personal decision.  My only negative is they are very expensive we were looking at close to 10k for radiation and a vaccine to stop it from spreading.  And at his age not sure if the treatment will be worse for him and change his quality of life.  We do trust them and their opinion they were busy and we saw a 10 year old basset hound 2 years out from a front leg removal and chemo and he seemed to be doing great. Find a good caring doctor in a good responsible and humane animal hospital.... ... This Clinic has nothing as far as good manners to patients, kindness, knowledge or compassion! Read Less

I knew he was in good hands with this vet. I am extremely satisfied and the outcome, and his professionalism. I highly recommend Dr. Buss for anyone looking for an eye doctor. Read Less

Her nurses are wonderful and were always so sweet to Iggy. My greyhound, Gabe, was under the care of Dr. Sones and the Melbourne staff for almost 2 years for Lymphoma and then Hemangiosarcoma... Because of them I enjoyed priceless extra time with my boy! Gabe fought the good fight against Lymphoma - and was in remission for well over a year - only to be taken by a cancer he couldn't battle - Hemangiosarcoma... On a number of occassions I had to call during off hours - which connects me to the Fort Lauderdale Hospital. It was incredibly comforting to get a person to pick up my call - one who could immediately access Gabes records and appropriately direct me. I wish they would just schedule the radiation treatments instead.... The other main factor to consider is cost, it will cost you at least $5k and up for treatments so brace yourself.... if you do go forward with treatments you will be in good hands...
