There are not enough amazing things I could say about Dr. Gordon and his staff. I have been taking my dog to Coral Ridge Animal Hospital for over 10 years and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. I cannot even count all the times the team has gone above and beyond to care for my dog. Most recently my dog pulled a muscle while being groomed. I called the office on a Sunday (a day the office is closed) expecting to get a recording referring me to an emergency vet but Dr. Gordon picked up. I told him what was going on and he said to bring my dog in right away. I don't know any other vet that answers the phone on their day off and then waits 45 minutes for a patient to drive to their office just so we didn't have to go to a strange doctor in an emergency room. For the past 8 years I have lived 45 minutes from Dr. Gordon's office and I still make the commute for every checkup, vaccination and everything in between. I've been taking my pets to Dr. Gordon since I moved to Fort Lauderdale three years ago. I've been exceptionally happy with the expert care they've given my pets. This is a great clinic. Dr. Gordon is knowledgeable, down to earth, and generous with his time. The entire staff is efficient, pleasant and compassionate. The physical space itself is immaculate and calming. Costs are also fair and reasonable. I am beyond grateful for the care and empathy we received in connection with the passing of my senior dog. Shortly thereafter, my second senior dog developed a life threatening problem which Dr. Gordon recognized. He quickly referred us to a 24/7 terrific critical care facility where I believe her life will be saved. It looks like a high-quality professional place. However, there wasn't much for us to like. They take your pet to the back right away, out of your sight, which is not what vets typically do. In our case, they did blood work, one of the tests/values wasn't done right, and they said they had to "run it again." We were not told until afterward that they meant drawing blood from our traumatized pet a 2nd time. We never would have approved that if we had been informed. Then, to add insult to injury, they tried to charge us extra for the 2nd blood test that they only had to do because they screwed up the first time! Read Less

Dr. Gordon gave me 3 more HAPPY WONDERFUL years with my lil girl when she was diagnosed with diabetes when the vet she'd been seeing (Dr. Midlin) said to just "leave it alone" and gave up on her, only changing her diet to unbelievably expensive food.... Read Less

I will never visit another veterinarian again besides Dr Gordon. My husband and I stumbled upon this practice 5 years ago when we moved down from Tampa FL. It was right next to our house. Our male cat was blocked with bladder stones. Dr Gordon was so friendly, explained things to us very thoroughly, treated our cat (multiple times) and would call us after our visits to check up on our cat. We eventually moved to plantation and thankfully that cat has been very healthy since. Recently our other cat declined. It turned out he had cancer in his kidney and lung. We traveled to Dr Gordon every time our cat got sick. As always, Dr Gordon always called to check on our cat KC. He even called us on Labor Day to check on him. We ended up putting our baby to sleep the day after Labor Day. Dr Gordon was so compassionate and even sent a card to our house. Stop looking now because you won't find a better vet than Dr Gordon. Dr. Gordon and staff are top notch! My 13 year old Pom can be a little crotchety and Doc and his staff know how to handle him with care and patience. Not too mention his Mommy can be a little overwhelming too :) I try to be a good advocate for what I think my dog needs but they are right on board with that too. They always do what is best for my little guy and never hesitates to make decisions when they know it's what's needed. They are fair priced and are always upfront with costs and procedures. I trust them wholeheartedly and with their expertise they have extended my dog's life and given him a new quality he probably wouldn't have had at 13 years old. Our animals are our children and to find a team that feels the same way is not something you come by every day. They are further distance away from me since I moved down to Florida originally, but all the other vets I've tried that have been closer and more convenient, don't hardly compare. I have been going to Dr Gordon for care of my two dogs for many years.  He and his staff are so gentle, kind and very reasonably priced. They have always taken their time with my babies and explained everything to me.  I don't think I've ever had to sit and wait more than 3-4 minutes.It is coming up on 1 year (06/26/15) that Dr. Gordon had to help us by send our baby boy Buster over the rainbow bridge.  This was my first experience with this and it was very difficult.  I was so relieved that they explained everything in advance and in detail.  I was with my Buster right to the end.  It was all very peaceful.  They took great care of my Buster throughout his life and I Truly believe Dr. Gordon helped extend his life an extra year or two under his care.We have since adopted two more doggies from a rescue and brought them in right away so they can be under Dr Gordon's care.Thank you to Dr Gordon and staff. I had been going to a vet in the similar area for 8+ years but recently I've noticed the quality has gone down as they've gotten busier. Traveling with a senior pet can be challenging. Finding someone who is knowledgeable, caring and not out to over bill you is also a challenge. Our experience with Dr. Gordon and his staff was exceptional. Our old gal got very sick and we thought we were going to lose her. Dr. Gordon was amazing. He stayed after hours and made sure she had the care she needed. Changing her food also changed our lives and we now have a happy and healthy little girl. Very disappointing quality of care.  My dog was a rescue,  and this office did the spaying.  No one there over night at all to check on post surgical pets or even those sick and under treatment.  They don't tell you that, even if you ask.  Also,  no one called to check on my dog the day after surgery.... I have had several dogs in my lifetime,  the vet always calls the next day to check on the dog,  but not this office.  Sad.  I suggest avoiding this office,  there are many other vets who care and offer far better quality of care. I've been looking forever for a good east side vet. I'm not big on the clinics with rotating Dr.s. I like to know who I'm seeing. I was really impressed with the service. It was easy getting an appointment and they were so good with my Dozer who is a total chicken!  I meant to write a review a few weeks back when I went but forgot. Then today I got this adorable card with all of Dozers info and his picture on it!  The prices were really fair. The service was great. The staff was wonderful. Finally!  My brood has found its home. when you have an older dog it seems they need a little extra care and attention. We found Dr. Gordon through Yelp and we know we made an excellent choice. They first time we met Dr. Gordon was when we first arrived in the area. Our old gal was struggling with a food change (different formulation in U.S. with regular food). We put her on a special diet and wow what a change. It was like a miracle to us. After a couple of months our gal got very sick and here we were back again. We can't stress enough how amazing Dr Gordon and his wonderful staff have been to us. We were not sure if this was the end of the road but with the extra care she received she is back on the mend. Dr. Gordon even stayed late one night to be sure she got extra fluids and one on one care. Our little girl means the world to us and we trust everyone here will always provide exceptional care. Dr. Gordon is an exceptional and compassionate veterinarian. His staff is also fantastic, a very knowledgeable and caring team that also keeps a very clean facility. I've been bringing my dogs (boxers) to him for over 12 years and had an emergency late afternoon on New Year's Eve, as always the staff was very accommodating and said to bring him n ASAP. Dr. Gordon was able to manage him conservatively and stabilize him until the specialist was available on Monday. He spent time to explain everything in detail in a very caring manner. In addition, he called the pet emergency hospital to speak with the surgeon in case we had to go over the holiday. Dr. Gordon called me every day over the long New Years holiday to check on my dog and assess the situation.
