One word to describe Dr. Sharon Glass: BRILLIANTMore words to describe Dr. Glass: Caring, Professional, Extremely Knowledgeable, Compassionate, Loving, Kind, Outstanding, Miracle worker.Anyone who follows my reviews knows that I spare no expense for my Jack Russell Terrier, Marlin who is almost 15 and the love of our lives. He's had several serious health conditions this past year which have required surgeries and hospitalizations, we have gone as far as traveling to Gainesville to have Marlin treated at the University of Florida animal hospital because the Neurologist at our local animal Hospital referred us to UF because the CT Scan they did came back inconclusive and supposedly they have the latest and greatest medical advances and technologies, but even with having Marlin treated at UF for several days everything came back inconclusive again as to why he had rare lesions on his spine and pelvis, he was knuckling on his hind legs, didn't want to walk anymore and lost most of his appetite, their next recommendation was to do exploratory stomach surgery, something we didn't want to put him through since it didn't promise any answers.I took him back to our local hospital after he got worse and they increased his pain medications and put a pain patch on him to pump him with even more pain killers around the clock in addition to the meds they increased, all of this left him completely out of it with no will to walk and constantly whining, I then took him to Dr. Glass for Acupuncture as our last hope, we knew that if this didn't work that it would be time to say goodbye as we value his quality of life.Dr. Glass and her staff were extremely compassionate and kind to me and my little guy, he had the acupuncture on a Friday but he was still pumped with all the drugs and patch the Hospital had given him, he whined most of Friday night so I called Dr. Glass the following day and she said to bring him in. That Saturday morning Dr. Glass really connected with Marlin and told me that in her opinion the drugs from the hospital were making him delirious, she gave him something to calm him down, fed him food and water through a syringe, she removed the pain patch and gave him several injections with vitamins and reviewed the chart from the Hospital and the treatments from UF which had been diagnosed as inconclusive, she then did some research and found a very probable diagnosis for the lesions due to a past condition he had the year before and found that it could be treated with Vitamin D so she gave him a shot of that too. I didn't give him any more drugs that Saturday, and as his little body weaned off the pain killers he was more calm and lively again, I couldn't believe he had finally stopped crying and looked better, by Sunday he was walking on his own again and smiling and more importantly he looked comfortable! Dr. Glass followed up and called us on Monday and I could tell she was genuinely happy to hear that Marlin was doing so much better! She then prescribed some medication which she felt would further help him, which did! He had a healthy appetite again, he was completely off all the Pain Killers and he was walking and resting comfortably! I couldn't believe it!!! Since then we had a few other acupuncture therapies which are definitely helping, and she has also prescribed him tables of Chinese Herbs and Powdered velvet Elk Antlers (all natural). I love that Dr. Glass tries to make the acupuncture therapy as relaxing as possible by playing classical music and keeping Marlin at ease. I know Marlin will not be around forever, but as long as he has a good quality of life we are thrilled he is still with us.I can't say enough good things about Dr. Glass and her practice, she genuinely cares about all her patients, and I found it amazing how she connected with Marlin and was able to root-cause the problem after not 1 but 2 prestigious animal hospitals missed it. Marlin has been off all the drugs for a few weeks now and he is doing great. The nurses at the practice told me they have seen amazing results from paralyzed dogs who are walking again because of the acupuncture therapies, I completely believe it after witnessing Dr. Glass's treatments and results first hand. Also, I am a believer of good nutrition and natural remedies and I love that this is exactly what Dr. Glass preaches, they offer holistic natural foods and natural therapies. Read Less
