I have taken my dog here for 5 years. Within the last year the service and quality went tremendously down hill. I believe there is a new owner. I have to correct them on their document. Things don't match up and they use every reason to bring me in to collect more money. The latest was today. I was told my dog's last blood work was abnormal and I need to bring him in. I told the receptionist that's a lie. If the last one was abnormal the vet would have changed the doseage on the meds. She quickly changed the story, and said well you just need to bring him in. Everything was great! I was so happy that Tommy could be seen on a Sunday with no notice and the staff took us just 30 minutes before closing and took care of us till the end (even though it was after closing time when they finished.) Dr. Pate was a true expert. He knew what to do after a swift and thorough examination of Tommy. Linda was super-sweet and gave Tommy all of his medication before we left. THE HOSPITAL IS open on Sunday!!! Dr Pait is the vet on duty on Sunday. He helped us determine how to get to the cause of a persistent wound. Other doctors treated the symptom, but he went to the cause of the wound. We dripped the medicine in water and soaked the water in fish pieces. The lesion was improved in one week. YOU CANT GO OFF OF RATING ALONE! They offer $5off if you rate them! I brought my ill dog here because it was a "FREE" first time visit.. My dog had issues peeing and was in pain. They said it was because his prostate was swollen and he can't pee.. they made it seem like it was a walk in the park, no big deal. Was sent home with antibiotics and anti-inflammatories. Return the next day because he wasn't eating so then they inject him with the drugs they perscibed.. $300 laterrrr I noticed he GOT WORST!! HE WAS BARELY HOLDING ON TO LIFE! THEY HAVE NO IDEA ON WHAT THEIR DOING!!! I HAD TO RUSH HIM TO THE EMERGENCY VET! $1200 LATER JUST TO STABILIZE HIM BECAUSE HE WAS IN CRITICAL CONDITION!!! Now $1500 later I'm back at square 1! I have never written a review before but I read one here that made me want to write my own. I only go to this place because the new vet Dr. Blair is the most caring vet you will ever find. He sits on the floor with my Max and has formed a bond with him so he is not terrified during our visit. He explains everything to me on a level I can understand and recommends only what Max needs so I don't have to worry about my bank account getting raped which has happened in the past. He is very patient and has repeated things several times to me when I get neurotic which happens frequently when it concerns my pet. My family has followed Dr. Blair around for over 15 years and he is the ONLY one we trust. I promise you won't be dissappointed. Read Less

This is one of the kindest and most dedicated vet and kennel services I have ever used. The doctors and all of the staff are very loving towards the animals. They understand the needs of the pets and also the needs of their owners. They work with me if my pet needs costly treatment, to find a more affordable alternative. They call after treatments, to ask if everything is ok. They always respond to my questions, whether I leave a phone message, send an email or stop by. There are very good animal hospitals much closer to my home, but I insist on making the drive to bring my dog to South Broward Animal Hospital. Read Less
