This is the worst vet I have ever encountered in my life. They had 3 people working there and only 2 people ahead of me when I came it yet it took over an hour and a half (one was just shooting the breeze and the other didn't have an emergency). Everyone was moving SO SLOW. The vet, Mark Huff, has his teenage kid, Travis Huff - who looks like he'd rather be somewhere else and actually is somewhere else mentally - taking the vitals, trying to explain the diagnosis, and generally lumbering about cluelessly and without any sense of purpose or compassion or competence. Is that even LEGAL??! I went to the emergency ER looking for professional veterinary care! Why is a kid without a license doing the work unsupervised?!?! When Mark Huff finally did come in, he seemed totally put out to be asked any questions or to explain anything. Again, he didn't even say what was wrong - he just walked out and sent his kid in to try to read terms off a page and it was like a kid at a spelling B who awkwardly tries to mutter through what they're doing with pathetic results. And the vet was just lounging about like he was on sedatives himself or something. Even though I asked to have the diagnosis and treatments explained to me, he sent his kid and receptionist to do it while he just hid in the back - and at this point NO ONE else was even in the building. I AM SO PISSED! But I am also TERRIFIED. My dog - who is like my child - looks far worse AFTER going there than he did when I brought him in. And when I called back, it took almost 10 minutes to get the vet on the phone and then he was talking so slow it's like he's either on something or, a couple times, I thought he wasn't even on the phone any longer because of how long the pauses were. This is SO discomforting. My dog looks worse now than when he went in but my only option is to take him back to the same place that just left me sitting there for almost two hours while they mill about like they're in a geriatric ward. I asked to be present when the injections were given but they did not let me and since my dog got the shots he seems totally out of it. He's having spasms, is shivering, can't focus, and while he's standing his head just crashes with his nose going in the carpet and he seems like he can't think straight to lay down or stand. The vet callously and in a numb and slow tone lacking any compassion or concern whatsoever mutters, "you can bring him back in if you want". WTH?!?! This is the most unprofessional and uncaring vet I have ever encountered. Nothing was explained properly or professionally. When they brought my dog out he was dripping fluid and had this huge deformed looking swelling. They had pumped him full of fluid and later explained that the reason he is probably shivering is because they pumped COLD FLUID in to his body. ZERO sense of urgency, compassion or professionalism. The only exception was Tanya, the receptionist, who realized how off this was and expressed concern, that seemed sincere, when I said I was headed straight to Yelp. Read Less
