The staff at Small Animal Hospital saved my cat's life two years ago. She had consumed something toxic and was vomiting every half hour. I was so worried, but they managed to save her and keep her with an IV of fluids. It was also really great that they let me come and see her until I could take her home. I always appreciate their honesty and compassion.

Terrible business practices. They offer a $1 office visit first time. You then need to pay a $53 check up fee. If you ask about the price of the meds or ask if you can buy them at a pharmacy get ready for a battle with Dr. Dupree. If you question their price match on meds sold on 1800petmeds, expect another battle. You will be told they have no idea if Pet Meds is storing it properly, and if your dog has a seizure or projectile vomiting Pet Meds will not refund your money. My first visit I waited 2 1/2 hours to have my Pug seen. I would have left if it were not for the vet tech. I brought my guy in for senior wellness work up bloodwork and urine and was never told that they found crystals and blood in his urine. I had talked to a staff member there and she said all was fine. This was back in August and when I called about the test results in August I was told everything was fine. So today after learning this news about the urine analysis, I messaged them about this and received an snippy answer denying that, they said they left a message. Last straw was I took my guy in for a bath and nail trim. I sat outside and brushed all the loose hair off him which was a lot and he was still damp after being there for 3 1/2 hours. I asked for his medical records and Dr. Dupree did not send them to me. I don't know what he sent but it didn't look like records. So in summation, if you go there expect to pay $65 for a visit, expect to pay more for his products and if you question anything you will have the pleasure of Dr. Dupree screaming at you over the phone. If you have tests run you will not get copies of them, or a call with accurate results, and if your dog has a bath you will have to dry him and brush all the hair off of him. When he sends you an email because you had a complaint it is titled, I don't ever want to see you or your pet again. Imagine that, and the best part is you get to pay for all the screw ups of the place and be screamed at. I will be so glad to see my original vet and the $20,000 question, Dr. Dupree is will you forward my records, or do I need to take further action? Can't begin to say enough great things about this facility, the Doctor, and the entire staff!! Not only do they have a great New Customer fee of only $1 but...from the moment I called and explained my kitty had an eye problem the receptionist insisted I come right away. The Doctor and his entire staff were incredibly considerate and compassionate towards me and my concerns along with my suffering pet. The thoughtfulness extended beyond the Doctors treatment when one staff member cleaned out the kennel and returned it cleaned and ready for the ride home.(plus carried the loaded kennel to the car for me) another assistant was very kind and gentle with my kitty that I was extremely surprised at how cooperative my kitty was because he was calmed during his exam and treatment. I would give them more than 5 stars because they were THAT good !

Very impressed and highly satisfied- entrusting my 3 Miniature Schnauzers to this pet hospital! Dr. Dupre is knowledgeable, considerate and kind. One of my dogs was having horrible flea issues, skin irritation, as well as seizures. Dr. Dupre knew exactly what my dog needed and began treatment immediately. He explained all of our options and let us decide how we wanted to proceed with treatment. Within a week, my dogs skin was better, he hasn't had one seizure since, and the fleas have been gone!! Dr. Dupre called us after hours to check on our pet and his medication. The staff is kind and very easy to work with scheduling. This is the best pet clinic I have experienced in 15 years.

The employees here REALLY go above and beyond to care for your pet. My cat doesn't ride well in the car and her cage ends up a mess before we arrive, they always take it aside and clean it out for me before we go! They were also able to trim my cat's nails which also usually doesn't happen at the other vets we have been to, she feels safe with them. I would 100% recommend them to everyone!

After some research, we chose Small Animal Hospital. We took our new pups for their first visit yesterday...we are super pleased. The front office staff was so welcoming. Maureen checked us in and talked with us as if we met many times. Within five minutes of meeting Dr. Dupre, we knew this was the Vet for us. He coached us in some of our upcoming decisions and he also talked with us as if we had been friends. Dr. Dupre and staff talk to you not down to you, and loved the soft touch he had with our pups. I've visited with numerous pets over the years. The front office staff is always prompt, knowledgeable and compassionate about my pets. When my babies have to stay over night I never worry because James is there to make them their favorite food, keep them clean and even carry them around if they are especially sad. When they've had to have procedures I've left knowing that Dr DuPre' was going to do everything just right and fix whatever was going on... for example a broken foot on a prized show dog named cheyanne. When the chips are down this place and these people have your back and your pets best interest at heart. Can't say enough good things about Small Animal Hospital. If your looking for a great vet, you won't find better

I searched all over town when I got my two ferrets, trying to find an exotic vet that I felt comfortable with my babies. My wife and I are snow birds from New England with 2 dogs and 2 horses down with us for winters in Fort Myers. This is the third year that we have taken our dogs to the Small Animal Hospital in Fort Myers. Our dogs have seen both Dr. DuPre and Dr. Presley and they are very professional, competent and have great bedside manners with us and our pets. I highly recommend them both and the practice in general. Their pricing and appointment availability is also very good. We have had both minor routine issues for them to deal with as well as more serious issues involving anesthesia and surgery. We have a horse farm and have had many dogs over the years and this practice is top notch.

Honestly I do not know where to start. The staff was very friendly to not only my dog but me as well. The doctor he is awesome. He explains in depth every question you ask and he listens to you. I remember going there as a kid with my childhood pets and here I am 20sum odd years later bringing my dog there. The staff doesn't forget either, they treat you just like family. I recommend them to any and everyone. And for those who is wondering about pricing, the price and the quality of work that they provide will leave you satisfied in the end.

Dr. DuPre and his team (Judy, Shirley, Dr. Presley, James, and many more), I feel to be a part of my family. This team/family has helped my family in times when we were a small kitty refugee sanctuary , when my babies had rare to common illnesses, and the many broken hearts my family endured to our friends over the rainbow bridge. Small Animal Hospital is wonderful. My husband and I just moved to Florida 1 year ago. We were looking for a place to take our fur babies that would care for them like their own and I am so lucky that I found them! We recently found out that our little boy has Malignant Thyroid Cancer. Judy and all of the staff and Doctor's are outstanding. They are helping us raise money for his specialty surgery to remove the cancer mass at their clinic and told us to set up a GoFundMe account as well. They have walked us through what steps need to be taken. They are so supportive, positive, kind, and most importantly treat us like family. I recommend that everyone with fur babies go to them. You will love this vet hospital!

I have been bringing my cats to Dr. DuPree at Small Animal Hospital for 15 years now, and I can honestly say he is an outstanding vet with a passion for getting to the root of the problem! He has saved two of my beloved pets from very serious health problems. I trust him 100 percent to always provide outstanding, professional and complete care to my pets. He listens, and even calls to follow up after hours to see how the patient is doing! His office staff is outstanding and always available to answer any questions I might have. They always follow-up, and are a great support staff. I would not hesitate to recommend or take any of my beloved "family" members to Dr DuPree at Small Animal Hospital. You can be assured they will be well cared for! You might even inherit one of the many strays that he is caring for until they find good homes!! Great Vet!

Small Animal Hospital has been our family's choice in vet for as long as I can remember. I grew up running around their clinic, and as an adult continue to use them today. There is absolutely no one I trust more with my animals. Dr. Frank Dupree has, on more than one occasion, made himself available to me at all hours of the day and night, workdays and weekends, never hesitating to answer any of my questions or address any of my concerns. I live a good distance from the office, and have found myself settling for closer practices in the past. It never takes very long before I find myself running back to Franks. He is the very best at what he does, and there is simply no comparison when it comes to the care of my pets. At Small Animal Hospital, the vets and the supporting staff (who are equally wonderful) work together seamlessly to create a warm and welcoming environment. If you are looking strictly for a clinical, business like atmosphere, this is not the place for you. The people here are a family, and are eager to bring you and your furry friends on board!

I am SO not sure about this place. I feel very ripped off. When the vet came into the exam room she was not wearing a clinic coat, a name tag, and did not introduce herself - I had to ask her name. She seemed put out about the question. After listening to my explanation of my cat's problem, she proposed a laundry list of tests. I balked, asking what they would cost. She left the room and came back with an 'estimate' - nearly $400 worth of tests, for a 17 year old cat!!! I refused, asking for just a urinalysis, which showed a probable urinary tract infection. They also gave sub-Q hydration. Imagine my surprise when the fees came to almost $300! Imagine if I had said yes to all the testing - What, $600-$700? I came to this clinic ONLY because we moved and it is much closer to our new home - but we were perfectly satisfied with our 'old' vet, and NEVER left there feeling ripped off or pushed to spend too much. I take good care of my animals, they live LONG lives - but that doesn't mean I'm going to throw a bunch of unnecessary money at vet services just to prove it. I may, indeed, drive back to Cape Coral to the clinic we long trusted, and never set foot in this place again.

Small Animal Hospital has been taking care of our pets for more than 25 years and hopefully will continue to do so for 25 more. Frankie is the best of the best. We depend on him to tell it like is and help us make the best decisions when it comes to our beloved pets. He has helped our babies get the proper start in life and helped ease them through their older years. From yearly exams, multiple accidents (Powder ate a pound of fudge! A shower curtain! All the Halloween candy!...) and several dozen panicked phone calls over the years, Frankie and his staff have always been there for us. The entire staff at Small Animal Hospital is Top Notch. When Doc is away, we have seen Dr. Presley and she is the nicest lady. As a matter of fact, she was there for us during some pretty tough times. Just about everyone at Small Animal has been there for us at some time or another. They are a great group of people!

I have used this hospital for several years for my parrot and my cats. The vets are kind, caring and knowledgeable, and always take the time to explain things and answer questions. The ladies at the front desk are always friendly and efficient, they consistently provide great customer service. It's never easy when your pet requires medical attention, but the people at this hospital make that situation less stressful, and I always feel that my babies are receiving the best of care!

I have been coming to Small Animal Hospital for nearly 20 years. Before I came here I had visited numerous other facility's and I just didn't see the results on my Dogs from what they told me to do or what they did to solve problems. I came here to Small Animal Hospital on a recommendation from a friend. I have never been any where else. The staff is outstanding and the care provided is the same as well. I know when my Dog has a problem and I bring him here to Small Animal Hospital, I am at peace with whatever the diagnosis is and the care or maintenance I need to do is the truth and you know what.. I see the results on my Dog. That's what matters to me, is that my Dog is taken care of and the problem will be fixed no matter what the cost. I'm so happy that I have them at my disposal when I need them. Thank all of you for helping my Dogs. Your the best!!

The staff at Small Animal Hospital saved my cat's life two years ago. She had consumed something toxic and was vomiting every half hour. I was so worried, but they managed to save her and keep her with an IV of fluids. It was also really great that they let me come and see her until I could take her home. I always appreciate their honesty and compassion.

Terrible business practices. They offer a $1 office visit first time. You then need to pay a $53 check up fee. If you ask about the price of the meds or ask if you can buy them at a pharmacy get ready for a battle with Dr. Dupree. If you question their price match on meds sold on 1800petmeds, expect another battle. You will be told they have no idea if Pet Meds is storing it properly, and if your dog has a seizure or projectile vomiting Pet Meds will not refund your money. My first visit I waited 2 1/2 hours to have my Pug seen. I would have left if it were not for the vet tech. I brought my guy in for senior wellness work up bloodwork and urine and was never told that they found crystals and blood in his urine. I had talked to a staff member there and she said all was fine. This was back in August and when I called about the test results in August I was told everything was fine. So today after learning this news about the urine analysis, I messaged them about this and received an snippy answer denying that, they said they left a message. Last straw was I took my guy in for a bath and nail trim. I sat outside and brushed all the loose hair off him which was a lot and he was still damp after being there for 3 1/2 hours. I asked for his medical records and Dr. Dupree did not send them to me. I don't know what he sent but it didn't look like records. So in summation, if you go there expect to pay $65 for a visit, expect to pay more for his products and if you question anything you will have the pleasure of Dr. Dupree screaming at you over the phone. If you have tests run you will not get copies of them, or a call with accurate results, and if your dog has a bath you will have to dry him and brush all the hair off of him. When he sends you an email because you had a complaint it is titled, I don't ever want to see you or your pet again. Imagine that, and the best part is you get to pay for all the screw ups of the place and be screamed at. I will be so glad to see my original vet and the $20,000 question, Dr. Dupree is will you forward my records, or do I need to take further action? Can't begin to say enough great things about this facility, the Doctor, and the entire staff!! Not only do they have a great New Customer fee of only $1 but...from the moment I called and explained my kitty had an eye problem the receptionist insisted I come right away. The Doctor and his entire staff were incredibly considerate and compassionate towards me and my concerns along with my suffering pet. The thoughtfulness extended beyond the Doctors treatment when one staff member cleaned out the kennel and returned it cleaned and ready for the ride home.(plus carried the loaded kennel to the car for me) another assistant was very kind and gentle with my kitty that I was extremely surprised at how cooperative my kitty was because he was calmed during his exam and treatment. I would give them more than 5 stars because they were THAT good !

Very impressed and highly satisfied- entrusting my 3 Miniature Schnauzers to this pet hospital! Dr. Dupre is knowledgeable, considerate and kind. One of my dogs was having horrible flea issues, skin irritation, as well as seizures. Dr. Dupre knew exactly what my dog needed and began treatment immediately. He explained all of our options and let us decide how we wanted to proceed with treatment. Within a week, my dogs skin was better, he hasn't had one seizure since, and the fleas have been gone!! Dr. Dupre called us after hours to check on our pet and his medication. The staff is kind and very easy to work with scheduling. This is the best pet clinic I have experienced in 15 years.

The employees here REALLY go above and beyond to care for your pet. My cat doesn't ride well in the car and her cage ends up a mess before we arrive, they always take it aside and clean it out for me before we go! They were also able to trim my cat's nails which also usually doesn't happen at the other vets we have been to, she feels safe with them. I would 100% recommend them to everyone!

Maureen checked us in and talked with us as if we met many times. Within five minutes of meeting Dr. Dupre, we knew this was the Vet for us. He coached us in some of our upcoming decisions and he also talked with us as if we had been friends. Dr. Dupre and staff talk to you not down to you, and loved the soft touch he had with our pups. I've visited with numerous pets over the years. The front office staff is always prompt, knowledgeable and compassionate about my pets. When my babies have to stay over night I never worry because James is there to make them their favorite food, keep them clean and even carry them around if they are especially sad. When they've had to have procedures I've left knowing that Dr DuPre' was going to do everything just right and fix whatever was going on... for example a broken foot on a prized show dog named cheyanne. When the chips are down this place and these people have your back and your pets best interest at heart. Can't say enough good things about Small Animal Hospital. My wife and I are snow birds from New England with 2 dogs and 2 horses down with us for winters in Fort Myers. This is the third year that we have taken our dogs to the Small Animal Hospital in Fort Myers. Our dogs have seen both Dr. DuPre and Dr. Presley and they are very professional, competent and have great bedside manners with us and our pets. I highly recommend them both and the practice in general. Their pricing and appointment availability is also very good. We have had both minor routine issues for them to deal with as well as more serious issues involving anesthesia and surgery. We have a horse farm and have had many dogs over the years and this practice is top notch.

Honestly I do not know where to start. The staff was very friendly to not only my dog but me as well. The doctor he is awesome. He explains in depth every question you ask and he listens to you. I remember going there as a kid with my childhood pets and here I am 20sum odd years later bringing my dog there. The staff doesn't forget either, they treat you just like family. I recommend them to any and everyone. And for those who is wondering about pricing, the price and the quality of work that they provide will leave you satisfied in the end.

Dr. DuPre and his team (Judy, Shirley, Dr. Presley, James, and many more), I feel to be a part of my family. This team/family has helped my family in times when we were a small kitty refugee sanctuary , when my babies had rare to common illnesses, and the many broken hearts my family endured to our friends over the rainbow bridge. Small Animal Hospital is wonderful. My husband and I just moved to Florida 1 year ago. We were looking for a place to take our fur babies that would care for them like their own and I am so lucky that I found them! We recently found out that our little boy has Malignant Thyroid Cancer. Judy and all of the staff and Doctor's are outstanding. They are helping us raise money for his specialty surgery to remove the cancer mass at their clinic and told us to set up a GoFundMe account as well. They have walked us through what steps need to be taken. They are so supportive, positive, kind, and most importantly treat us like family. I recommend that everyone with fur babies go to them. You will love this vet hospital!

I have been bringing my cats to Dr. DuPree at Small Animal Hospital for 15 years now, and I can honestly say he is an outstanding vet with a passion for getting to the root of the problem! He has saved two of my beloved pets from very serious health problems. I trust him 100 percent to always provide outstanding, professional and complete care to my pets. He listens, and even calls to follow up after hours to see how the patient is doing! His office staff is outstanding and always available to answer any questions I might have. They always follow-up, and are a great support staff. I would not hesitate to recommend or take any of my beloved "family" members to Dr DuPree at Small Animal Hospital. You can be assured they will be well cared for! You might even inherit one of the many strays that he is caring for until they find good homes!! Great Vet!

Small Animal Hospital has been our family's choice in vet for as long as I can remember. I grew up running around their clinic, and as an adult continue to use them today. There is absolutely no one I trust more with my animals. Dr. Frank Dupree has, on more than one occasion, made himself available to me at all hours of the day and night, workdays and weekends, never hesitating to answer any of my questions or address any of my concerns. I live a good distance from the office, and have found myself settling for closer practices in the past. It never takes very long before I find myself running back to Franks. He is the very best at what he does, and there is simply no comparison when it comes to the care of my pets. At Small Animal Hospital, the vets and the supporting staff (who are equally wonderful) work together seamlessly to create a warm and welcoming environment. If you are looking strictly for a clinical, business like atmosphere, this is not the place for you. The people here are a family, and are eager to bring you and your furry friends on board!

I am SO not sure about this place. I feel very ripped off. When the vet came into the exam room she was not wearing a clinic coat, a name tag, and did not introduce herself - I had to ask her name. ...
I am SO not sure about this place. I feel very ripped off. When the vet came into the exam room she was not wearing a clinic coat, a name tag, and did not introduce herself - I had to ask her name. She seemed put out about the question. After listening to my explanation of my cat's problem, she proposed a laundry list of tests. I balked, asking what they would cost. She left the room and came back with an 'estimate' - nearly $400 worth of tests, for a 17 year old cat!!! I refused, asking for just a urinalysis, which showed a probable urinary tract infection. They also gave sub-Q hydration. Imagine my surprise when the fees came to almost $300! Imagine if I had said yes to all the testing - What, $600-$700? I came to this clinic ONLY because we moved and it is much closer to our new home - but we were perfectly satisfied with our 'old' vet, and NEVER left there feeling ripped off or pushed to spend too much. I take good care of my animals, they live LONG lives - but that doesn't mean I'm going to throw a bunch of unnecessary money at vet services just to prove it. I may, indeed, drive back to Cape Coral to the clinic we long trusted, and never set foot in this place again.

Small Animal Hospital has been taking care of our pets for more than 25 years and hopefully will continue to do so for 25 more. Frankie is the best of the best. We depend on him to tell it like is and help us make the best decisions when it comes to our beloved pets. He has helped our babies get the proper start in life and helped ease them through their older years. From yearly exams, multiple accidents (Powder ate a pound of fudge! A shower curtain! All the Halloween candy!...) and several dozen panicked phone calls over the years, Frankie and his staff have always been there for us. The entire staff at Small Animal Hospital is Top Notch. When Doc is away, we have seen Dr. Presley and she is the nicest lady. As a matter of fact, she was there for us during some pretty tough times. Just about everyone at Small Animal has been there for us at some time or another. They are a great group of people!

What a wonderful place for our sweet Boxer, Honey! This is our family's first time having a pet. The staff helped us feel comfortable with all of our questions, and they were very supportive as we went through worm issues from the breeder. We did our research, and their prices were more than fair. This place knows what they're doing, and they are so gentle with our puppy. They have a client for life!

I highly recommend him and his entire staff for their outstanding service to their patients and the community. So happy to hear they are taking care of the K-9 dogs as well!! I have used this hospital for several years for my parrot and my cats. The vets are kind, caring and knowledgeable, and always take the time to explain things and answer questions. The ladies at the front desk are always friendly and efficient, they consistently provide great customer service. It's never easy when your pet requires medical attention, but the people at this hospital make that situation less stressful, and I always feel that my babies are receiving the best of care!

I have been coming to Small Animal Hospital for nearly 20 years. Before I came here I had visited numerous other facility's and I just didn't see the results on my Dogs from what they told me to do or what they did to solve problems. I came here to Small Animal Hospital on a recommendation from a friend. I have never been any where else. The staff is outstanding and the care provided is the same as well. I know when my Dog has a problem and I bring him here to Small Animal Hospital, I am at peace with whatever the diagnosis is and the care or maintenance I need to do is the truth and you know what.. I see the results on my Dog. That's what matters to me, is that my Dog is taken care of and the problem will be fixed no matter what the cost. I'm so happy that I have them at my disposal when I need them. Thank all of you for helping my Dogs. Your the best!!
