Dr. Piper is one of my favorite people. He is the most caring and knowledgeable Doctors I have ever met. He takes his time with our appointments and no concern is to small, he is always willing to address them in a thoughtful & caring way. His staff is very friendly and always greets us with a smile. They are reasonably priced and give excellent customer service. I am sorry I didn't find Verandah Pet Hospital when I first moved to the area 5 years ago. Keep up the good works!

Love this Vet!!! My dog was outside with me while I was gardening... next thing I knew, her eyes were swollen shut, her face and body were full of hives, and she was panting as if she were going to have a heat attack. I rushed her to Verandah Pet Hospital because it was closest to my house. Even though Dr. Piper had never seen my girl, she was taken in immediately and treated. He asked to keep her for a few hours to monitor her. When I picked her up she was very happy and looked so much better. Dr. Piper came out to discuss her issues with me. When he finished he gave me his cell number in case she had a relapse and said he doesn't mind weekend phone calls. Afterwards, I was of course expecting a hefty bill for the ER visit but was pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive it actually was. I will never take my dogs anywhere else. Dr. Piper is caring and compassionate and I cannot thank him enough!

Lilli started to give them some lip.
The vet, very softly told Lilli what they were going to do and she had to be a
good girl. Lilli, listened and went back with the Vet and her assistants and I was given a very good behavior report when she came out to us. I can't thank
Veranda enough. They certainly went above and beyond the care with Lilli.

I have known Doug & his family for many years, so maybe I'm a bit prejudiced. But, I have also taken my pets to other vets when I lived in other areas of the country. By comparison, Doug is, far & away, a better vet than most. He is super kind and caring - very gentle with the animals - and very knowledgeable of medication updates, diseases & their symptoms and causes, and treatment programs. The entire staff are always friendly & professional - treating the pets like family.

Absolutely hated the boarding facilities at Verandah Pet Hospital!! They did not take care of my poor older age pup, charged extra for services completely not needed, and were obviously completely neglectful of my dog. It's been a week since we picked Bebe up and she is just now starting to get back to herself which makes me even more upset with the non-existent care she received at Verandah Pet Hospital!! I definitely do not recommend this place to any of our Fort Myers friends.

My dog was very sick, and I took him in this morning. I had never been to this Vet, but I was welcomed and got put into a room right away after filling out mine and my pets info. The Dr. was wonderful and did a thorough exam to see if he could find the problem. Nothing jumped out at him so he suggested testing. They got the testing done and prescribed meds that he felt necessary. He also mentioned another issue that my dog has that had nothing to do with his sickness, and loved that he caught something that no other vet has. They were very busy, but I still felt like me and my dog was very important. They were also very fair in their pricing. I actually expected the bill to be much higher. Thank you so much!!! I will recommend you to everyone I know.

My best friend/roommate's dog out of nowhere became unresponsive after convulsing/stiffening of her limbs. We feared we were losing her so we rushed her to the Verandah Animal Hospital mainly because it was closest to the house and she needed help immediately but also because I'd heard so many excellent recommendations. Fortunately, at the same time we walked through the door she happened to start breathing normally and was once again responsive but Dr. Piper did a thorough exam and took our account of what happened seriously. He did not see for himself what happened but he didn't seem as though he thought we were exaggerrating which was refreshing. Dr. Piper and his staff were very empathetic. They were professional but not cold. He took the time to talk to us, to answer our questions thoroughly. My best friend and I will definitely be taking our furbabies to the Verandah Pet Hospital from now on. Its such a relief to have someone competent and trustworthy in the event of an emergency or any other cause for a visit.

He takes his time with our appointments and no concern is to small, he is always willing to address them in a thoughtful & caring way. His staff is very friendly and always greets us with a smile. They are reasonably priced and give excellent customer service. I am sorry I didn't find Verandah Pet Hospital when I first moved to the area 5 years ago. Keep up the good works!

Love this Vet!!! My dog was outside with me while I was gardening... next thing I knew, her eyes were swollen shut, her face and body were full of hives, and she was panting as if she were going to have a heat attack. I rushed her to Verandah Pet Hospital because it was closest to my house. Even though Dr. Piper had never seen my girl, she was taken in immediately and treated. Absolutely hated the boarding facilities at Verandah Pet Hospital!! We feared we were losing her so we rushed her to the Verandah Animal Hospital mainly because it was closest to the house and she needed help immediately but also because I'd heard so many excellent recommendations. Fortunately, at the same time we walked through the door she happened to start breathing normally and was once again responsive but Dr. Piper did a thorough exam and took our account of what happened seriously. He did not see for himself what happened but he didn't seem as though he thought we were exaggerrating which was refreshing. Dr. Piper and his staff were very empathetic. They were professional but not cold. He took the time to talk to us, to answer our questions thoroughly. My best friend and I will definitely be taking our furbabies to the Verandah Pet Hospital from now on. Its such a relief to have someone competent and trustworthy in the event of an emergency or any other cause for a visit.
