The staff are all very caring, but the prices are horrendous. One has to pay either for the plan for a year or the entire year. I take great care of my pets, but I never bring them to the very add much as what the plan will cost. This comes out costing MUCH more than WHAT PetSmart charges for their annual plan. It's somewhat nice that the meds are sent to my home, but I'd rather get a few months at the vet so I can really save money. Don't go there isyou are on ANY sort of budget. Don’t take your male kitten there for free initial exam hoping to get him neutered there. You’ll be quoted a price of almost $300!!!!! Then....you’ll be told that THEY do “special” things like an ECG and “expensive” medication during the surgery!! The medications are sedatives, like Ketamine, a compound for pain & sedation (hallucinogen), or a gas, like halothane. These types of medications have been around decades and are very inexpensive, some around 40 cents a pill. Plus....it takes roughly TWO minutes to neuter a male cat AND they don’t even suture the surgical site on the outside. Only the inside with dissolvable sutures. The ONLY exception that would be “special”(and by special I mean different/additional), would be medication for feral cats, and mine is not feral. No WONDER people don’t bother to spay/neuter their pets and there are, consequently, so MANY unwanted animals!! Just GREEDY!! How much is it to spay a female then? I’m guessing about $1,200??? I paid $36 each for my dog and cat, INCLUDING a rabies shot, which is typically around $50 at the vet, at least, and the vet that did them both was AWESOME and there were NO complications whatsoever. This place is okay for the small stuff just don't come here before 9 for an emergency because they won't help you. They told me their not equipt to do anything at all for my dog that was throwing up blood without a doctor and they wouldn't even try calling one in. Also, the lady at the desk told me they could at least look at him than when we went in the room they said they couldn't do anything. Than why even tell me to go in the room. This place should not be called a hospital if they can't do anything on short notice. Read Less

Recently our dog got very sick and we brought him to TRI County Animal Hospital. The Vets suggested that we hospitalize Louie because of pancreatic issues. The entire staff treated Louie like he was their dog and allowed us to visit him as often as we liked. At the end we lost Louie due to pancreatic cancer. It felt good knowing that my dog was being cared for by professionals who truly cared for him and my family. I strongly recommend Tri County to anyone who is looking for a good vet on the treasure coast. Read Less

I only gave it 2 stars because the ladies in front were so friendly. The vet seemed nice too, until I asked about making payment arrangements for the treatment my cat needed because I didnt have the money that day. Suddenly the vet seemed much less friendly or interested in helping my kitty. It turns my stomach to think of that place now.Read Less

I recently moved to FL and needed to pick up a new supply of Heartguard for my dog. They left us sitting in an exam room for 75 minutes without saying anything (I had an appointment and showed up exactly on time), I ended up having to go remind them we were there. The vet said he had to do a physical exam before giving us the medicine ($45), which he spent about 30 seconds doing and it was a joke. We had bought the 1 year puppy plan at our previous VCA before moving to FL (about $900 for the year) - which we were promised would transfer if we moved - but the vet in Ft Pierce denied this, so I essentially paid VCA double for this visit....he also gave us a different brand of medicine then she had been on, I asked if it was OK to switch and he just kind of shrugged and said something like 'it should be fine'....I also had them trim my dog's nails ($15), they took her into another room and brought her back freaked out and she had peed on herself (I guess they were a bit rough). We're just glad the 1-year plan we pre-paid for was almost up when we moved to FL, otherwise we would be out a lot of money. I definitely don't recommend this VCA, they scared my dog enough to pee on herself just trimming her nails, and left me feeling ripped off, in addition to wasting 2 hours here just to get heartworm medicine. The vet also came off as incompetent, I wouldn't bring my dog here with a serious problem. This is disappointing because our previous VCA was great. Read Less
