I found All Cats several years ago when I was seeking a second opinion. One of my cats had gotten very sick and when I went to Banfield, they said about 500$ worth of tests was needed before they could even begin to diagnose and treat. It wasn't that I didn't want to spend 500, I simply didn't have it. They told me to go home and say my goodbyes, and to bring him back within a few days when his suffering would be growing worse. It felt like they wouldn't even try. I went home and after a day or so, took him to All Cats, where Patti Gordon, aware of my financial situation, said she could begin by treating symptoms to get him out of the woods, and see where we stood then. She promised to treat and test in terms of getting the most 'bang for my buck' in an attempt to save my cat's life. She also suggested Care Credit to me. Unfortunately, the delay caused by Banfield's 'death sentence' proved to be too much for my kitty, but I have never seen a Vet apologize so profusely for not being able to save an animal's life. She told me that she wouldn't have suggested treatment if she didn't think there was a chance to save him, but in the end, his body had just gotten too weak. That was a sad ending, but I knew I'd found the only Vet I'd ever take my cats to. She later saved another cat's life who had a rather rare disease by managing his symptoms until a diagnosis could be made, and that was a very happy ending. I have always had after hours phone calls returned in a timely manner, and while my cat was at his sickest, one tech even gave me her home phone number if I had a question, or emergency with my cat. In short, these people give a damn. Yes, it's a business, and yes it costs money, but it's not *just* about the money here. Just walk in the door and meet the 'shop cats.' The abandoned, or slightly broken, or medically needy cats that have been given a home when there was no other place, and you'll know these people care.Read Less
