I can’t say enough good about Newberry Animal Holistic and Wellness Center!!! We came in about two weeks ago with our mini dachshund who had lost use of his back legs due to an enlarged disk. Options at another vet had been a referral for surgery that would cost $5,000!!! After 3 acupuncture treatments our boy is now walking/running around on all 4 legs!!! My dogs love to go to see Dr. Spinosa, Heidi and staff! Jurnee and Ryker have no idea they are at the vet's office, they think they are having a spa day! Acupuncture has been especially helpful to Jurnee, my 12 year old German Shepherd. The natural approach to healing has been the key in keeping her allergies and ear infections at bay! Amazing experience for me and my senior dogs. The staff and Dr were warm, caring, and immediately put me and my dogs at ease. Treatment was reasonable and cost was also well within a reasonable range. I had fallen on hard times and was unable to keep them up on somethings. I never felt condemned of judge. In fact the wonderful technician reassured me that I had done a wonder job with what I had been able to do. I couldn't be happier. They will be my permanent veterinarian from now on. Honestly, I've never been happier with a vet. The Holistic clinic has such a warm and calm atmosphere--it reminds me more of a pediatrician's office than a vet clinic. Heidi and Dr. Spinosa are wonderful and knowledgeable people, and it's obvious they care considerably about their patients. A morning trip to the vet's office used to mean a full day or two of my cat refusing to eat and hiding under the couch; now, she comes home and goes about her daily routine as usual. I came to Dr. Spinosa for a more natural approach for Toto ' s healing. She is a very caring, personable, knowledgeable doctor who takes time and displays sincere compassion for my pet. The herbs, diet recommendations, adequan shots, and acupuncture have greatly improved my dog s quality of life. Love Dr. Spinosa and her technician Heidi at Newberry Holistic! Acupuncture and Chinese herbs have helped all 3 of my cats and my chihuahua improve their health and behavior! The staff members here are wonderful. Very patient and kind. I never feel stressed out by my vet experience (unlike other places I have gone) and I feel that my animals are well cared for. The staff is very informative, but it is obvious they are never trying to "sell you" a product or service (again, unlike other places I have gone in town). Best vet I have ever been to, hands down! I've rescued multiple cats from Gainesville, own 3 kitties & an 8 year-old pitbull & in my dealings with all of them at vet offices, no visit has been surpassed by the 3 I've had thus far with Newberry Holistic & the 1 with their sister location on South Main (emergency vet visit). Their pricing is great but their repoire with patients & people is stellar. My dog literally drags me through the parking lot to get to their door because of how much she loves Heidi. The office is really relaxed & inviting too. They let my curious pup wander the whole layout & sniff around, that kind of energy (I think) is why my pets aren't fearful while being handled there. They're exceptionally compassionate & thorough in following up with their patients. I feel indebted to Dr. Harl & Heidi for checking out my male cat Beeker. He wasn't even a patient of theirs & they last minute squeezed him in to see if he had a UTI (deadly to male cats if not dealt with in a short time). Upon discovering a definite urethral blockage, they quickly lined me up with an emergency vet appointment at their sister location. They were kind enough to wave the vet checkup fee, they saw the devastation on my face (I had a week long trip I could not cancel coming up) & they knew the levity of what could have gone on with Beeker. In the long run he needed some pretty serious surgery & again my experience with Newberry Animal Hospital blew my socks off. They too were accommodating, compassionate, thorough & had great prices. A friend went through the same thing with his male cat at another vet & spent 3k. The surgery, hospitalization, boarding & meds were all under $1300 for my cat. I've never had a more rewarding experience with doctors & their staff. I highly, highly recommend these vets. You will not be let down at all.
