I can't say enough great things about Dr. Spinosa and Heidi. If you're looking for a vet that is caring, compassionate, understanding, and friendly then you've stumbled on the right review! My dog has gotten acupuncture and benefited tremendously while she was waiting to have knee surgery. Even when I walk into the other office location to pick up some food Heidi will see me and walk over to chat and ask about our fur babies. Recently, my pup ate something that didn't make her feel so great and Dr. Spinosa did a laser treatment on her and she was feeling much better. Dr. Spinosa was off the next day and still made sure to call me on Saturday morning to check on our dog (and make sure I would be able to make it to the concert I planned on going to that night!). My partner and I had to make the hard decision to put our other pup down since she had cancer and Dr. Spinosa and Heidi came to our house, comforted us and reassured us that we were making the right decision, and made the whole process so much easier (even though that decision is never easy). They took her body for us and had her cremated in this beautiful wooden box and sent us a card shortly after with such thoughtful messages on it. I have never trusted a vet so much before and I'm going to be so sad when I have to leave Gainesville. I would recommend any of the Newberry animal hospital locations because they truly only hire the best!

Wonderful care! Peaceful, serene care givers. Dr. Spinosa and Heidi are excellent, knowledgeable and loving practioners. Our 16 year old Persian went from not being able to stand, or even sit upright, to walking in a matter of weeks. Giving us more time with our beloved Sam, when other vets had decided he could not recover. Perhaps your beloved pet would benefit from their care.

I can’t say enough good about Newberry Animal Holistic and Wellness Center!!! We came in about two weeks ago with our mini dachshund who had lost use of his back legs due to an enlarged disk. Options at another vet had been a referral for surgery that would cost $5,000!!! After 3 acupuncture treatments our boy is now walking/running around on all 4 legs!!! I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Spinosa and Heidi!!! How sweet and caring they are and how wonderful their office is. We will be coming here from now on.

Kind, compassionate and clean! No rush, completely professional. I am blown away by how wonderful this office is. I grew up on a cattle farm, we had thoroughbreds, bred dobermans: I've been around so many veterinarians. No one like here. This is the absolute top of the list. I will not go anywhere else, ever. Also, I am a nurse. I am picky. I not only can't find enough good things to say but can't think of a fault.

My GSD Julie's life was extended over 2x the projected life expectancy after Brain Tumor removal surgery, thanks to Acupuncture and Herbal medications. My dogs love to go to see Dr. Spinosa, Heidi and staff! Jurnee and Ryker have no idea they are at the vet's office, they think they are having a spa day! Acupuncture has been especially helpful to Jurnee, my 12 year old German Shepherd. The natural approach to healing has been the key in keeping her allergies and ear infections at bay! I wish I had followed Dr. Baltzley's advice to try them sooner! We love all of the Newberry Animal Hospital locations and their staff!

Amazing experience for me and my senior dogs. The staff and Dr were warm, caring, and immediately put me and my dogs at ease. Treatment was reasonable and cost was also well within a reasonable range....
Amazing experience for me and my senior dogs. The staff and Dr were warm, caring, and immediately put me and my dogs at ease. Treatment was reasonable and cost was also well within a reasonable range. I had fallen on hard times and was unable to keep them up on somethings. I never felt condemned of judge. In fact the wonderful technician reassured me that I had done a wonder job with what I had been able to do. I couldn't be happier. They will be my permanent veterinarian from now on. As a former veterinary technician, by far the best clinic I have been in. Highly recommend!!

Honestly, I've never been happier with a vet. The Holistic clinic has such a warm and calm atmosphere--it reminds me more of a pediatrician's office than a vet clinic. Heidi and Dr. Spinosa are wonderful and knowledgeable people, and it's obvious they care considerably about their patients. A morning trip to the vet's office used to mean a full day or two of my cat refusing to eat and hiding under the couch; now, she comes home and goes about her daily routine as usual. I am thrilled to have found the Newberry Animal Holistic and Wellness Center.

I came to Dr. Spinosa for a more natural approach for Toto ' s healing. She is a very caring, personable, knowledgeable doctor who takes time and displays sincere compassion for my pet. The herbs, diet recommendations, adequan shots, and acupuncture have greatly improved my dog s quality of life. Heidi is a wonderful assistant, who has listened patiently as I "panic" or cry over Toto ' s most recent behavior. I appreciate them both very much and highly recommend them.

This is by far the best place I have taken my dog! Dr. Spinosa and Heidi are always kind and caring and very knowledgable regarding all of the questions I ask. My dog is always calm and cheerful when we go to the clinic whereas with other clinics she gets very nervous and anxious. Love Dr. Spinosa and her technician Heidi at Newberry Holistic! Acupuncture and Chinese herbs have helped all 3 of my cats and my chihuahua improve their health and behavior! I'm so grateful to have such a competent veterinary acupuncturist in town to take care of my furry family members. Dr. Spinosa offers a great balance between conventional Western veterinary medicine and Chinese Medicine, and I really trust her advice because she always look for a natural treatment option first before recommending conventional treatments. Very impressed with her knowledge and skill and I highly recommend her if you are looking for a truly holistic vet!

The staff members here are wonderful. Very patient and kind. I never feel stressed out by my vet experience (unlike other places I have gone) and I feel that my animals are well cared for. The staff is very informative, but it is obvious they are never trying to "sell you" a product or service (again, unlike other places I have gone in town). I have seen improvements in both my dogs since taking them here.

Best vet I have ever been to, hands down! I've rescued multiple cats from Gainesville, own 3 kitties & an 8 year-old pitbull & in my dealings with all of them at vet offices, no visit has been surpassed by the 3 I've had thus far with Newberry Holistic & the 1 with their sister location on South Main (emergency vet visit). Their pricing is great but their repoire with patients & people is stellar. My dog literally drags me through the parking lot to get to their door because of how much she loves Heidi. The office is really relaxed & inviting too. They let my curious pup wander the whole layout & sniff around, that kind of energy (I think) is why my pets aren't fearful while being handled there. They're exceptionally compassionate & thorough in following up with their patients. I feel indebted to Dr. Harl & Heidi for checking out my male cat Beeker. He wasn't even a patient of theirs & they last minute squeezed him in to see if he had a UTI (deadly to male cats if not dealt with in a short time). Upon discovering a definite urethral blockage, they quickly lined me up with an emergency vet appointment at their sister location. They were kind enough to wave the vet checkup fee, they saw the devastation on my face (I had a week long trip I could not cancel coming up) & they knew the levity of what could have gone on with Beeker. In the long run he needed some pretty serious surgery & again my experience with Newberry Animal Hospital blew my socks off. They too were accommodating, compassionate, thorough & had great prices. A friend went through the same thing with his male cat at another vet & spent 3k. The surgery, hospitalization, boarding & meds were all under $1300 for my cat. I've never had a more rewarding experience with doctors & their staff. I highly, highly recommend these vets. You will not be let down at all. I went in to just get my dog on a more natural health plan & I came out beyond satisfied, I feel blessed. -KT

For many years Dr. Spinosa has cared for my critters. We all love her. She has been kind as well as skilled in providing wonderful treatment of acupuncture, herbs and her magic. Heidi is a joy and support. We often stop in for a bit of her cheer. Thank you for being there always.

Newberry Animal Holistic and Wellness Center and all the Veterinarians/Staff here are the best. My GSD Julie's life was extended over 2x the projected life expectancy after Brain Tumor removal surgery, thanks to Acupuncture and Herbal medications. My dogs love to go to see Dr. Spinosa, Heidi and staff! Jurnee and Ryker have no idea they are at the vet's office, they think they are having a spa day! Acupuncture has been especially helpful to Jurnee, my 12 year old German Shepherd. The natural approach to healing has been the key in keeping her allergies and ear infections at bay! I wish I had followed Dr. Baltzley's advice to try them sooner! We love all of the Newberry Animal Hospital locations and their staff!

Amazing experience for me and my senior dogs. The staff and Dr were warm, caring, and immediately put me and my dogs at ease. Treatment was reasonable and cost was also well within a reasonable range....
Amazing experience for me and my senior dogs. The staff and Dr were warm, caring, and immediately put me and my dogs at ease. Treatment was reasonable and cost was also well within a reasonable range. I had fallen on hard times and was unable to keep them up on somethings. I never felt condemned of judge. In fact the wonderful technician reassured me that I had done a wonder job with what I had been able to do. I couldn't be happier. They will be my permanent veterinarian from now on. As a former veterinary technician, by far the best clinic I have been in. Highly recommend!!

Honestly, I've never been happier with a vet. The Holistic clinic has such a warm and calm atmosphere--it reminds me more of a pediatrician's office than a vet clinic. Heidi and Dr. Spinosa are wonderful and knowledgeable people, and it's obvious they care considerably about their patients. A morning trip to the vet's office used to mean a full day or two of my cat refusing to eat and hiding under the couch; now, she comes home and goes about her daily routine as usual. I am thrilled to have found the Newberry Animal Holistic and Wellness Center.

I came to Dr. Spinosa for a more natural approach for Toto ' s healing. She is a very caring, personable, knowledgeable doctor who takes time and displays sincere compassion for my pet. The herbs, diet recommendations, adequan shots, and acupuncture have greatly improved my dog s quality of life. Heidi is a wonderful assistant, who has listened patiently as I "panic" or cry over Toto ' s most recent behavior. I appreciate them both very much and highly recommend them.

This is by far the best place I have taken my dog! Dr. Spinosa and Heidi are always kind and caring and very knowledgable regarding all of the questions I ask. My dog is always calm and cheerful when we go to the clinic whereas with other clinics she gets very nervous and anxious. I would recommend Newberry Animal Hollistic and Wellness Center to anyone and everyone!

Love Dr. Spinosa and her technician Heidi at Newberry Holistic! Acupuncture and Chinese herbs have helped all 3 of my cats and my chihuahua improve their health and behavior! I'm so grateful to have such a competent veterinary acupuncturist in town to take care of my furry family members. Dr. Spinosa offers a great balance between conventional Western veterinary medicine and Chinese Medicine, and I really trust her advice because she always look for a natural treatment option first before recommending conventional treatments. Very impressed with her knowledge and skill and I highly recommend her if you are looking for a truly holistic vet!

The staff members here are wonderful. Very patient and kind. I never feel stressed out by my vet experience (unlike other places I have gone) and I feel that my animals are well cared for. The staff is very informative, but it is obvious they are never trying to "sell you" a product or service (again, unlike other places I have gone in town). I have seen improvements in both my dogs since taking them here.

Best vet I have ever been to, hands down! I've rescued multiple cats from Gainesville, own 3 kitties & an 8 year-old pitbull & in my dealings with all of them at vet offices, no visit has been surpassed by the 3 I've had thus far with Newberry Holistic & the 1 with their sister location on South Main (emergency vet visit). Their pricing is great but their repoire with patients & people is stellar. My dog literally drags me through the parking lot to get to their door because of how much she loves Heidi. The office is really relaxed & inviting too. They let my curious pup wander the whole layout & sniff around, that kind of energy (I think) is why my pets aren't fearful while being handled there. They're exceptionally compassionate & thorough in following up with their patients. I feel indebted to Dr. Harl & Heidi for checking out my male cat Beeker. He wasn't even a patient of theirs & they last minute squeezed him in to see if he had a UTI (deadly to male cats if not dealt with in a short time). Upon discovering a definite urethral blockage, they quickly lined me up with an emergency vet appointment at their sister location. They were kind enough to wave the vet checkup fee, they saw the devastation on my face (I had a week long trip I could not cancel coming up) & they knew the levity of what could have gone on with Beeker. In the long run he needed some pretty serious surgery & again my experience with Newberry Animal Hospital blew my socks off. They too were accommodating, compassionate, thorough & had great prices. A friend went through the same thing with his male cat at another vet & spent 3k. The surgery, hospitalization, boarding & meds were all under $1300 for my cat. I've never had a more rewarding experience with doctors & their staff. I highly, highly recommend these vets. You will not be let down at all. I went in to just get my dog on a more natural health plan & I came out beyond satisfied, I feel blessed. -KT
