They were so nice about taking the pup in and watching her/treating everything she needed even though I needed to go back to work. Dr. Ice is my favorite vet. Great with the animals and wonderful sense of humor. Very knowledgeable. Keeps costs down by being practical and giving you options. Good choice for Greyhounds. I like Dr. Elgerd as well but I have not been happy with the third vet, Dr. Hall. Read Less

I’ve been taking my pets to Timberview for over 10 years now. Dr. Elgerd went above and beyond when my last dog developed a serious illness that required nearly constant care. When he needed to be euthanized, she was compassionate and I knew it broke her heart too. I didn’t think twice where to take my new dog and they’ve treated her with the same love. They perform a very thorough assessment on annuals and you can see they care about their well-being. Superb customer service. My pup is a brand new patient, sent here by referral, in an emergency situation. She had a thorn in her eye!!! The doctors and staff were welcoming, accommodating, and knowledgeable. I was not upcharged out the YINYAN and I walked out feeling like a good furbaby mama, not like I'd been taken for a ride. For the past year I've been taking my kittens to this clinic. The vets are professional. I especially like Dr. Elgert (Lisa). The front desk people are very nice too. Never once did I have to wait for more than 5 minutes to be seen. One time my kitten scratched his ear and it started to bleed, I was so scared but I didn't have any appointment. They were able to sqeeze us in and treated my kitty. I also did spay/neuter here. All in all it's good. I didn't give 5 star because it's a bit pricey compared to other places I've been to. I've been taking my furry family members to Dr Ice for over 20 years. They, in my opinion, are the best value in pet care. I'm not saying it's cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for! The doctors and staff are the VERY BEST Gainesville and North Florida have to offer.Updated 17 APRIL 2017It was so good to see Dr Ice this visit (and Dr Elgerd last month) I was looking above at my previous review and realized that 20 plus year relationship is now well over 30 years of unequivocal trust! I know that if it wasn't for Dr Ice and Dr Elgerd my past critter family wouldn't have enjoyed such long healthy lives! Multiple cats living a healthy life into their 20's and a big dog for nearly 15 years! I haven't met the other doctor yet, but I wouldn't hesitate to ask her to see our fuzzy family members. Timberview is one of those rare places where the quality always seems to ascend whereas most businesses (of all types) don't enjoy that level of success for such a long period of time. I really love the vets at Timberview. Ive seen Dr. Ice, Dr McLaughlin, and Dr Reakes. All are excellent, although Dr. Ice is my favorite. I could just visit with her all day! I can always get an appt right away, we are seen right on time, and the vets are never rushed. They take their time to explain everything to you. I only wish my own physicians were so professional. The facility is clean, smells clean, and the staff is always top notch. The rates are very reasonable. I've recommended them to everyone. Read Less

I questioned my friends for a good vet for my new puppy miniature pinscher.  Two out of three were very enthusiastic about this place, so I tried it.  I'm not the least bit disappointed.  I see Cynthia Ice.  She is great, takes her time and you can really tell she cares about the pets that come into her office.  The prices are very reasonable too.
