I was a loyal client with 4 animals for nearly 7 years, even bringing multiple rescue animals I fostered. This place is going downhill fast, used to be a good Vet Dr Fox is never there anymore and the new vet they brought in is terrible. To get my incredibly scared cat out of the  carrier last time they just flipped it over and shook it till he couldn't hold on anymore and fell out and hit the table. They had to do this to him twice because they forgot to take his weight after putting him back in the carrier.  They didn't really care when I expressed giving him a pill is nearly impossible and asked for alternatives, they said the alternatives don't really work and sent me home with a pill to give him 1/day for the next 30 days(expecting me to refill this), 2/day for the next two weeks and another one 1/day for the next 4 days. Apparently, if you show your unhappy with their diagnostic/medicine choices and request a refund (because you had to go to another vet) for medicine you cant even give your animal they respond with dropping you as a client and mailing your vet records to you without as little as a phone call first. We love our animals and we will go to bat for them, everyone is entitled to a bad day but I spent 7 years with this company and this was the first time I personally ever brought up a issue and was instead just dropped as a client. I adopted my baby pup from a second chance. And decided to go to river bridge animal hospital because this is where she's been spayed and took care of while she was in her foster home. Everyone is very kind and careful! And the must they reminded Tally and her case, and every time I'm coming in they always reminding her and treat her so gently. They taking the time to explain everything and find all the best solutions. They always pleased to answer my questions. Which is different from the vet I'm taking my other dog where it feel like they care more about the money than the animal! So I think I will take my second dog over there also... Dr. Fox was my veterinarian many years ago when he didn't have as many doctors working there as now. He was very polite, professional and well educated in his field. I had my dogs there from when they were puppies and he and his staff were very pleasant. As years went by I ended up moving to Texas but returned a year later. Again I continued to use Dr Fox as my vet until one of my dogs got ill. He wouldn't get up and was vomiting. Could not get him to go outside or drink water so I called Dr. Fox to bring him. He said wait till after the weekend he will be fine and bring him in on Monday if he hasn't improved. I told him how sick he was and I seriously don't think he will last all weekend. But he would not take him in. Long story short. My baby passed shortly after I hung up the phone. I immediately switched all my animals to another vet. In spite of having no compassion for sick animals, the prices are outrageously higher than normal.. Read Less

Dr. Fox and the staff are amazing. Odie loves going to the Vet. They are always so friendly and happy to see us when we walk in the door. We rescued Odie 3 years ago today from A Second Chance Rescue. Dr. Fox was the doctor they said was associated with them. Dr. Fox was there the day we adopted Odie. At the time we had no idea he was the vet. I thought I was just talking to someone that worked there. When we went for our first Vet visit we saw that the man we were talking too was Dr. Fox. :) We have been with him ever since. He is the best. We highly recommend him. Odie does too! Read Less

Even though we like Dr. Fox and he loves our pet; on our last visit, his care and diagnosis on our dog was almost negligent. We had brought our sick 2 year old dog that morning saying that he had been vomiting and were suspecting he might have gotten into some poison. Dr. Fox did some blood analysis and a perfusion of fluids to hydrate. He called around 3:00 pm and said that our dog was stable and he would keep him for that night. Then he called back at 5:00pm and told us to immediately come and get him, as he was not doing well and he couldn't keep him anymore. I felt terrible arriving at his clinic, our dog was coughing his heart out. Dr. Fox immediately put him in my car, and I had to rush to an emergency care facility, where the vet I was supposed to see was nowhere to be found. I felt that was completely unprofessional. Dr. Fox trying to discharge him, sending us somewhere else to someone I didn't know and who was not there waiting for us when we arrived. Dr. Fox had not called her back (and she had not called him either!) until I finally called three days later to complain about the bill. His bill blew my mind. He charged us for "a consultation fee" with another vet. explaining it is a common practice because he didn't know what to make of our case. That's our last visit with Dr. Fox. Read Less

Dr Fox and the entire team at RBAH are awesome. They were highly recommended to me almost 2 years ago when we first got Buster, our Havanese puppy by two different families!  Dr. Fox took a good bit of time with us on our first visit and shared with us what we should and shouldn't do, what to look out for and really made us feel at home.   Since that time we've had buster there multiple times for checkups, grooming and boarding (once for 10 days!).  My dog really enjoys going there. It's shocking but he's happy as can be when we drop him off. It's like I'm taking him outside to play he's so happy. I was just reviewing the other reviews here and can honestly say I have never had the experiences mentioned here. I'm not discounting them and can't comment about them but I can assure you I've never had anything but the best interactions at river bridge animal hospital. I walk in and I'm greeted by first name, my dog is immediately recognized and I have never had anyone speak to me in a rude or unfriendly manner. In fact, it's quite enjoyable dropping off and picking up buster. Can it get busy at times? Sure but that's to be expected when he's so well regarded but everyone is helpful and will take a moment to see if you need help. It's just a fantastic place. Across the street from my neighborhood is a petco, I could walk there and drop my dog off for grooming, just a couple blocks down the street are two other vetinarian offices and 2 more pet stores. I could take my dog to any of them for grooming and veterinarian services, but I don't, I take the 10 minute drive and take them to River Bridge because I know Dr. Fox, the staff and the groomer there take absolutely the best care of my dog and treat my dog like it's their own.  Look at Dr. Fox's facebook page and some of the services he provides to the local shelters and the good things he does. He's a good person, with a great staff and a fantastic business.  My recommendation is go there and visit in person and see for yourself. They may not be perfect, but then I ask you who is?  For me and for buster though they are like family. Read Less

We adopted our dog from Second Chance and I can tell you I have never met a nicer, more caring vet in my life. He takes in the most difficult cases (e.g. Hunter - a bait dog found in Alabama with bullet fragments in his hip, left for dead for 4 days on the side of the road in summer). He is so kind and truly loves animals and it shows. Some people have left negative comments, but it's difficult to please everyone, all the time. There's always two sides to the story. I brought my dog in about two months ago with a host of problems, including infections and kidney failure, both of which my previous vet missed. Dr. Fox spent a long time with me going over everything and what we should do next; he was honest about the prognosis but wasn't ready to give up yet, and my little guy is now doing as well as can be expected. When I adopted my dog from A Second Chance Rescue, I was thrilled to know that Dr. Fox was associated with them. He was the vet that took care of the first dog I ever had many years ago. I trust him and his care of both my pets. First, and foremost, the doctors are always willing to listen to me. I feel like my concerns are being heard. I have the utmost respect for Dr. Fox. It's not enough for a physician of any kind, be he for two, or four legged patients, to have good skills. The true test of a doctor Is how that Doctor "treats" his patients. I will never go to this hospital again. I left a review on Yelp 3 days ago and I received a voicemail yesterday morning tell me that my dog's medical records would be sent to another vet. I call this morning to gain clarification I was put on the phone with Sandy the hospital manager, asked if I was being dropped as a client , she said yes, asked why and was told that"she does not have time for this and to have a nice day" and hung up on me. Called back because I could not believe that just happened. Sandy picked up again and before I could say one word" You need to stop calling this hospital". The rescue group I got my dog from who is paying for his heartworm treatment also received a voicemail message saying that they didn't have a problem with the rescue but that I had left an "inaccurate review". I am astounded at the lack of professionalism displayed. If someone leaves a low review of your hospital you contact them if possible, apologize for whatever happened, and ask what you can do to make your next experience a better one. Like I said in my previous post my family has taken dogs there for many years and I would NEVER had imagined they would treat their clients this way. I have also recommended their practice to friends and co workers . Obviously I will not do so anymore and anyone looking here trying to decide whether or not this is a place you want to take your dog or cat at least now you know what kind of experience I have had with them and you can make a fully informed decision. I brought my dog in because he had a bad back leg and a runny nose. Dr. Fox barely tried to examine my dogs leg and told me we had to put him under to examine his leg and his nose. He was non caring and shoved us out the door. They didn't schedule the surgery and my wife and I found ourselves with no medication for our dogs runny nose. We went to another vet two days later (palm beach veterinarian specialists) and the vet was very kind and she gave my dog a full inspection that me and my dog were happy with. She showed me my dogs leg and how it shouldn't move the way it did. Diagnosis was torn ACL and a cold. I was given antibiotics and a price for the surgery. The surgery price was a little high so I called back Dr. Fox's office to let them know I got a diagnosis and to find out what they would charge me. The receptionist called me back two days later (because Dr. Fox is never there) and she told me that they didn't realize how big my dog was and can't do the surgery!! He's 105lbs and he fully examined my dog prior to me calling and he was talking about how he does this surgery for my size dog all the time because it's common in larger breeds. He was angry because I skipped the "rip me off" part of the surgery, which is the "pre-surgery"surgery. He said I'm going to use anesthesia, remove all your dogs lumps and biopsy, trim nails, inspect his nose with a scope!! He was suppose to be working me up a price etc. The best part is after I called the receptionist after teo days of not hearing back and she told me that the doctor doesn't work on dogs my size, which they knew the entire time. Then when I said that to the receptionist she said " well, the doctors having knee replacement and will be out of work for a few weeks and to just go with the other vet !! This office is one big bunch of lying no caring thieves.Read Less

Since I adopted my Chihuahua, they have been great with her. I love that every question is answered, matter attended, and all the personnel is nice, efficient and so loving with my little Camila. I've left her 4 different times for boarding and when I pick her up, she's always happy, with the same weight (which means she ate and wasn't depressed), and she hasn't been ever scared when we go. They remind me by email if it's time for a vaccination, her preventive heart worm medicine or any other treatment pending. I really recommend it.Read Less

I brought my dog to the vets office to get bathed, ears cleaned, nails clipped and to look at her back leg (she had limped and we didn't know why) When we picked her up, they had given her the canine flu shot! They never got my permission to do so! Read Less

On our first visit with our female boxer mix we were ok. The second visit I made an appointment for her to get a bath, ear cleaning,  nail trim and check her back leg since she had limped and we didn't know why. I dropped her off at 9am like they asked and I was told she would be ready around 12 - 1 pm because they had other dogs ahead of her getting bathed. At 12:30 I called,  they said she was ready and that her leg was fine. I paid. .. more then I thought but figured it was the exam fee. When I got home my husband looked at the receipt and it said she got The Canine Flu shot!!! And needs to go back in 3 weeks for a booster! !! I never asked for the shot! Was never asked if I wanted it either! We are very upset!!!  I want answers! !!Nothing but excuses and lies.  For that was blank when I filled it out was filled in AFTER I signed it!!! Lies... I had a Vet that I had been with for over fifteen years, then I met Dr. Fox through the rescue that I volunteer with. I switched all of my animals to River Bridge Animal Hospital almost six years ago and could not be happier. The addition of Dr. Ciucci two years ago was a brilliant move on Dr. Fox's part as she is just as caring, compassionate and knowledgable as he is. The staff is fantastic and I have referred many other friends to them who are now also very happy clients. I have two dogs and a cat. We all love going to see Dr. Fox and Dr. Ciucci at River Bridge Animal Hospital. They are the most caring and compassionate doctors. We live in Wellington so it is very close by for us. We also love seeing the office staff. The staff are all very knowledgable, helpful, and friendly.
