Completely deceptive in their fee schedules for core vaccines. We were told that we would be responsible for the initial cost of two vaccines (lepto and influenza) and to return in two weeks to receive the booster for the two vaccines as our dog had never received those two particular vaccinations before. Before we agreed to pay for those vaccines we clarified with the vet that there would be no charge for the boosters as the vaccines were already priced pretty high. ($30.65 and $48.75)The total cost of the visit with all of her other vaccines and exam fee was about $350. We came in today for the boosters only to be told that we would be charged an additional $78.75 for the boosters! Why are we being charged twice for the same vaccinations? So in all we have paid $157 for two vaccines? Even if there was a miscommunication the office manager made no effort to resolve the issue and instead insisted that we pay full price even after we had been told by the vet two weeks prior that there would be no charge. We will not be returning to VCA Simmons Animal Hospital.

I asked the receptionist what day my care club fee would be withdrawn so I can make sure i dont overdraft. I was told that that doesnt work that way that i have to come in and swipe. Well this morning I wake up in the negative because that answer obviosly wasnt the truth. I asled waht day they auto swipe. I was told they didn't. They do! They do on the 5th of every month if anyelse was given false information here is a little clarity.

My cat had a urinary obstruction. I took him to this vet and they told me what was wrong with him and that they needed to keep him because it was possibly going to impact his kidneys. They quoted around $1300 per night and said it would have to be at least 3-5 days or more depending if he even makes it. My second option was to put him down. I didn't have almost $7000 and my cat was crying in pain before they relieved a bit of pressure from his bladder. I told them I'll just put him down, which was VERY hard to even fathom since he was my baby. They said okay cremation or no? I chose cremation they gave me papers to sign. Before I signed I had asked the price for that. They gave me a ridiculous price to do that. I asked if I'd keep the ashes for that price, they replied no, if I wanted the ashes it'd cost more. I asked about not having him cremated, they said it was free, but I'd have to take him home! I felt repulsed and refused their options and decided to just go to Animal care+control where I adopted him from and put him down there! They refused to give me my cat because they thought I'd just take him home and let him die in my house! I asked to speak to a higher up, they came and explained to me my options again, and I cried to him that I just want my cat and I want to take him to a place that won't tell me to take his dead body home after he's euthanized! He began getting loud with me and I just told him to give me my cat since he is mine and my property! He could also call AC+C and make sure I get there. Which I did! he yelled fine give her her cat so she can kill it! This is why I want to and am going to end the vouchers with the stupid adoption places. I paid for the visit left with my cat, straight to AC+C where I found someone with a heart (a volunteer there) who told me about Paws2help and how her cat had the same problem and they cured him, she gave me $50 since thats how much I wasted at this place. She said she'd inform AC+C. I went to Paws and they immediately took him in and said they'd have to keep him for a few nights for $40/night. I wish I knew about that place sooner! I'd recommend it to anyone!

My dog Yvette had been a patient of VCA Simmons Animal Hospital for many years. The Doctors and Staff were always so kind and caring and actually took the time to listen to my concerns regarding Yvette's well being and health. They never tried to rush us out of there or treated us like just a number! Yvette became very sick at the age of 14 with metastasized lung cancer. Doctor Banner & Doctor Magram helped me to bring Yvette to the Rainbow Bridge when her suffering became to much for her. Doctor Banner, Doctor Magram and the staff were very kind and caring in my moments of great sadness. I had arranged to have Yvette cremated. When it was time to pick up her ashes, they were in a beautiful wood box. Much to my surprise, There was a sympathy card signed by all of the staff including Doctor Banner and Doctor Magram and also a ceramic paw print of my beloved pets paw with her name below it and a decorative bone next to her print - in our favorite color - purple! This paw print is a most treasured keepsake of my rescued pound puppy! Thank you all for taking such good care of us!! Now your other patient Jumanji, whom Yvette had been training for a few years, has some really big paws to fill and he has been rising to the challenge!!

I can't begin to tell you how poorly I was treated here. I brought my dog in for a dental procedure yesterday morning. Not only was she done several hours late, but when I went in to pick her up, I was brought into a waiting room and LEFT THERE for 51 minutes! I finally had to come out and DEMAND for my dog to be brought to me. The head nurse (Brittany) was very apologetic, but she was the only one who I felt any remorse from. I went to pay for the procedure, and it was $230 OVER the estimate, even though the vet herself (Dr. Pierce) told me over the phone that the dental procedure and extractions fell within the estimate. I was promised several times that someone would contact me today to apologize, and NOT ONE PERSON has called, even to check on my dog! PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!!!

I have been taking my dog to the day camp there for almost 5 years. I learned a couple years ago they over charge for every service they give to pets, but day care. If you need a good doctor for vaccines and any other service I highly recommend Best Vet in Boynton Beach. If you are looking for a day care only this is the spot, get all your vaccines somewhere else before taking them. Make sure to verify all the shots requires. I forgot the influenza shot and they wanted to charge me $52.00 just for the doctor visit on top of the $72.50 charge for the shot and day care. After 4 years of service you think they would waive the doctor charge when a tech is the one who I saw. I spoke to the manager and he wasn't helpful at all. Dr. Armstrong from Best Vet is the nicest and he will always be the one I recommend for any services.

I recently took my sick kitten to this animal hospital. Unfortunately, she died shortly after our arrival. I'm writing a review because I have been blown away by the amount of professionalism and compassion my pet and I were shown. We were able to get in right away and the staff immediately kicked into gear to do everything they could to save her life. They let me stay for as long as I needed and were very supportive from start to finish. At the time, they offered to send her pawprints to me in the mail to remember her by. I agreed but hadn't thought much about it since. Today I received a card signed by the entire staff as well as her paws/name printed on baked clay. It is beautiful. If you are looking for a clinic, I would highly recommend this outstanding facility. I am so thankful for everything.

The quality of care seriously declined with the rotation of Doctors. After having so many vets that listened and then left, we finally decided to leave.
VCA taking over was the worse thing that could have happened to Simmons Animal Hospitla. We left VCA to go to Simmons due to the same issue - rotation of doctors and quality of care.

My pup, Jackson, absolutely loves going to play each day. There is not a day that I worry about him when he is at Simmons. I fully trust them no matter the situations that could arise. I get a daycare package each month, which has very fair pricing especially for the beautiful pool and green space for the doggies. Jacks and I are going to miss Simmons so much when we have to move!!!

I usually use a holistic vet but its a long trip to FLL. Every Dr. at this hospital is wonderful! Ive been here a few times for emergency situations and my cats and I are always treated very well and each Dr. takes the time to explain everything they need to do and answer questions in a way that you can understand. They always follow up with a phone call themselves the next day too!!!! I highly recommend!

CON ARTISTS. THEY WILL SAY ANYTHING TO TAKE YOUR MONEY. Manager extremely rude and unprofessional. While there I witnessed dog fight due to OVERCROWDED and they sprayed the fighting dogs with water. all the information they gave me, I like the little card that looks like a credit card that has all of his information on it! All of the information that I gave you was for a big reason, and that was because I had another Chihuahua I took him to a vet that everyone said was great. And PS after taking my dog he died the next day !

This is seriously the best vet in Palm Beach County. I am admittedly somewhat of a harsh critic and I honestly have nothing but amazing things to say about this place. They go above and beyond every time without fail. They are reasonable priced and they don't charge you for things that they don't need to. Their vets are always willing to take the time to call you to answer questions. They don't rush you off the phone and really take the time to make sure you understand everything and all of the options. All interactions are pleasant and they genuinely try to solve whatever problem you're there for without raking your wallet over the coals in the process. They're open late. They give zero hassles with filling prescriptions. The list goes on and on! They're all very competent, caring, and just excellent overall. I feel so thankful to have found this place and to live nearby. They're truly a gem!

I have been coming here for years for all of my animals. i would recommend them to everyone. The staff is very friendly and the Drs actually take time to listen to what is going on. Just last week I unfortunately lost one of my fur baby's and wanted to get her cremated. When I called to bring her in the woman who answered the phone was so kind and gentle speaking with me as I broke down. Bringing her in the staff gave us time to say our goodbyes with her with a privacy window so no one could look in. Once leaving everyone was so kind and gave their sympathy. They even went the extent to have her paw print made and a personalized card from the dr and staff. What a very painful time was made less painful because of how truly amazing the staff treated us. Thank you Simmons.

Had to put my dog down here which is a horrible enough experience to begin with and they managed to make it more upsetting. I came in just as they opened and told them what i needed to do and they told me since it was my first time there i needed to fill out paperwork which i do not like but i understand. I then told them i would like to pay for it before i go through with it cause after hes gone i will be very upset and not want to be in the building while they do it. The lady said ok but never took my payment and then told me to bring the dog in. So i did cause she said the vet was here now and i assumed i would be able to drop the dog off and leave to go be by myself. I then had to wait in a room for about 20 mins with my dog im about to put down which was the worst 20 mins of my life, it was just a horrible feeling. The dr. then came in and i had to explain why i was putting him down and she said ok and they need to put a muzzle on him and i would have to help. After the muzzle was on they took my dog and told me i could now check out at the front desk. When i get to the front there is no one at the desk so someone told me to sit down and wait, i should have just left because while i was waiting i heard my dog being put down, he was a big dog so i could hear him breathing heavily and barking, and then it became silent and i heard them put him down while i was there and i just about dropped to the floor. and after about 5 mins of me sitting there crying hysterically they tell me that i can now pay. I told them multiple times that i did not want his remains or leashes or anything as i dont want reminders as its tough for me to handle and about a week later i receive a clay molding of his paw-print and a card with my name spelled incorrectly and my dogs name spelled incorrectly. I do not appreciate that someone put my dead dogs paw in clay to make a mold and send it to me. I had finally goten over my loss and how horrible they made the experience and now they remind me and make it worse.
I am 100% positive i made the right choice in putting him down but this vet made a tough situation 1000x tougher to deal with

Can not say enough great things about this office, staff, and Dr. Carr!
We had to bring our baby here after being misdiagnosed twice at another office only to find out he was nearing final stages of heart failure.
Dr. Carr made this trying time as smooth as it possibly could be. I applaud her, definitely not an easy job to do.
Thank you for being there, working late, and caring!
Our family appreciates you!

They treat our four dogs and they are absolutely the best. Yes, they're a little expensive, but you get what you pay for. These people are great - the front desk, the techs, the vets, the folks in the hotel, etc. We lost a dog last year, and they are extremely caring. This is our 4th or 5th vet in Palm Beach county and they'll be our last - no other place is better.

Completely deceptive in their fee schedules for core vaccines. We were told that we would be responsible for the initial cost of two vaccines (lepto and influenza) and to return in two weeks to receive the booster for the two vaccines as our dog had never received those two particular vaccinations before. I have been taking my dog to the day camp there for almost 5 years. I learned a couple years ago they over charge for every service they give to pets, but day care. If you need a good doctor for vaccines and any other service I highly recommend Best Vet in Boynton Beach. I recently took my sick kitten to this animal hospital. Unfortunately, she died shortly after our arrival. I'm writing a review because I have been blown away by the amount of professionalism and compassion my pet and I were shown. VCA taking over was the worse thing that could have happened to Simmons Animal Hospitla. We left VCA to go to Simmons due to the same issue - rotation of doctors and quality of care.

I usually use a holistic vet but its a long trip to FLL. Every Dr. at this hospital is wonderful! Ive been here a few times for emergency situations and my cats and I are always treated very well and each Dr. takes the time to explain everything they need to do and answer questions in a way that you can understand. They always follow up with a phone call themselves the next day too!!!! I highly recommend!

Don't take your pet there, my dog was limping when I arrived to pick her up. She had an open wound on her paw from staying there. They don't take care of your animal and they won't cover it. CON ARTISTS. THEY WILL SAY ANYTHING TO TAKE YOUR MONEY. Manager extremely rude and unprofessional. While there I witnessed dog fight due to OVERCROWDED and they sprayed the fighting dogs with water. DIRTY AND FILTHY.

all the information they gave me, I like the little card that looks like a credit card that has all of his information on it! All of the information that I gave you was for a big reason, and that was because I had another Chihuahua I took him to a vet that everyone said was great. And PS after taking my dog he died the next day !

This is seriously the best vet in Palm Beach County. I am admittedly somewhat of a harsh critic and I honestly have nothing but amazing things to say about this place. They go above and beyond every time without fail. They are reasonable priced and they don't charge you for things that they don't need to. Their vets are always willing to take the time to call you to answer questions. They don't rush you off the phone and really take the time to make sure you understand everything and all of the options. All interactions are pleasant and they genuinely try to solve whatever problem you're there for without raking your wallet over the coals in the process. They're open late. They give zero hassles with filling prescriptions. The list goes on and on! They're all very competent, caring, and just excellent overall. I feel so thankful to have found this place and to live nearby. They're truly a gem!

I have been coming here for years for all of my animals. i would recommend them to everyone. The staff is very friendly and the Drs actually take time to listen to what is going on. Just last week I unfortunately lost one of my fur baby's and wanted to get her cremated. When I called to bring her in the woman who answered the phone was so kind and gentle speaking with me as I broke down. Bringing her in the staff gave us time to say our goodbyes with her with a privacy window so no one could look in. Once leaving everyone was so kind and gave their sympathy. They even went the extent to have her paw print made and a personalized card from the dr and staff. What a very painful time was made less painful because of how truly amazing the staff treated us. Thank you Simmons.

Had to put my dog down here which is a horrible enough experience to begin with and they managed to make it more upsetting. I came in just as they opened and told them what i needed to do and they told me since it was my first time there i needed to fill out paperwork which i do not like but i understand. I then told them i would like to pay for it before i go through with it cause after hes gone i will be very upset and not want to be in the building while they do it. The lady said ok but never took my payment and then told me to bring the dog in. So i did cause she said the vet was here now and i assumed i would be able to drop the dog off and leave to go be by myself. I then had to wait in a room for about 20 mins with my dog im about to put down which was the worst 20 mins of my life, it was just a horrible feeling. The dr. then came in and i had to explain why i was putting him down and she said ok and they need to put a muzzle on him and i would have to help. After the muzzle was on they took my dog and told me i could now check out at the front desk. When i get to the front there is no one at the desk so someone told me to sit down and wait, i should have just left because while i was waiting i heard my dog being put down, he was a big dog so i could hear him breathing heavily and barking, and then it became silent and i heard them put him down while i was there and i just about dropped to the floor. and after about 5 mins of me sitting there crying hysterically they tell me that i can now pay. I told them multiple times that i did not want his remains or leashes or anything as i dont want reminders as its tough for me to handle and about a week later i receive a clay molding of his paw-print and a card with my name spelled incorrectly and my dogs name spelled incorrectly. I do not appreciate that someone put my dead dogs paw in clay to make a mold and send it to me. I had finally goten over my loss and how horrible they made the experience and now they remind me and make it worse.
I am 100% positive i made the right choice in putting him down but this vet made a tough situation 1000x tougher to deal with

We had to bring our baby here after being misdiagnosed twice at another office only to find out he was nearing final stages of heart failure.
Dr. Carr made this trying time as smooth as it possibly could be. I applaud her, definitely not an easy job to do.
Thank you for being there, working late, and caring!
Our family appreciates you!
Needless to say, we will be switching vets.

They treat our four dogs and they are absolutely the best. Yes, they're a little expensive, but you get what you pay for. These people are great - the front desk, the techs, the vets, the folks in the hotel, etc. We lost a dog last year, and they are extremely caring. This is our 4th or 5th vet in Palm Beach county and they'll be our last - no other place is better.
