I have been with this vet for 6 years and have had nothing but excellent care and customer service for my animals, and up until this week, I have had 6 animals, (3 dogs, and 3 cats). This week I had to have 2 of my dogs put to sleep. They were both almost 14 yrs old, which is very old for large dogs as they were. They both had multiple age related problems, and could barely get around anymore. The vet and staff all agreed it was the humane thing to do. Four years ago I had 4 cats. One of them developed a blood clot in the large abdominal artery and it paralyzed her back end. The vet said they could do surgery, but did not recommend it because she was developing clots due to low cardiac output, which is congenital. I am a registered nurse, and asked about blood thinners, and the vet said it doesn't work the same in cats as it does in humans. They could have strung me along for a lot of money in surgery and meds, but they didn't. In fact when I asked the vet what he thought, he flat out said the humane thing to do was to let her go. This week when I had to go through the same with my dogs, they cried right along with me. On the way to the vet for their final visit, one of my dogs defecated in the car on the way there. She was sitting in it, so it was smashed all into the cloth seat. One of the techs came out with a roll of paper towels and bleach spray, and cleaned the seat. He got it all! Now that is customer service!Read Less
