Went for the first time ever with my puppy Marley, the minutes I walked in I was greeted by the front desk, very friendly girls who answered all of my question. Dr. Oliver was great too and also the tech that was helping. I only went to a regular check up and puppy vaccines, but the attention was outstanding. I was really impressed. The vet was nice, but the receptionists were not the best. They treated me with attitude, were not helpful at all, and tried to charge me more than it was. There was one worker who gave me a nasty face as if I were not knowledgeable of my place in the vet. Another worker spoke to me in a mean way and directed me rudely. I did not appreciate the way the front desk personnel treated me, period. They were nice with the customers they wanted to be nice to. On the other hand, the veterinarian was nicer, even though I still felt a little lost after I left the vet, because not everything was explained to me in detail as it should be. I have never been the type to leave reviews but this place definitely deserves one. I couldn't possibly have been more pleased nor satisfied with the service my dog and I got there. From the 1st visit to see what my dog China had to the moment where it came to her having a procedure done. The entire staff were extremely friendly and compassionate towards our situation and did all possible to make us feel at ease at all times. They don't try to take advantage of you financially and work with you at all costs. I am so grateful I had the pleasure dealing with Dr. Oliver... best pet Dr ever. Best animal clinic ever!!! I have taken all my dogs to them since 2011. Dr Oliver is the only vet I would ever trust to take care of my pets. I travel from Kendall to Hialeah just for his services. He is very kind, honest and most importantly - he knows his stuff! Also, he doesn't try to push anything on you as far as extra tests and/or products like so many vets do, and his staff took an excellent care of my dogs which are super important to me. First time I visit. A member of my family recommended this animal clinic to me. I waited for an hour. I overheard they had to take care of an unusual situation with one of the animals that were hospitalized. Besides that, i have nothing but great things to say about this place and their staff. Dr. Perez wasn't there today however the doctor we saw and the rest of members were excellent to me and my dog. They run all kind of tests to my dog and I was able to find out what is wrong with him after wasting my time and money in two different places i visited during the past few months. I brought my kitty here to be seen, the wait was a bit long but their was a lot of people and it was a walk in basis. I love the female doctor, she is so sweet and caring. She immediately knew what was wrong with my kitty and send her home with meds. Their prices are reasonable. The girls upfront are extremely attentive and they genuinely care about you and your pet which is hard to find now in days. Dr. Perez saved my little yorkie from dying. I woke up one morning and noticed that my Chico didn't follow me to restroom, which I found odd? Went to his bed, and saw him vomiting excessively. Took him to Palmetto, where he quickly was rendered medical care. Unfortunately, due to his sugar level being low, he was required to stay for overnight observation. Next day, I picked him up and he was pretty much back to normal. Dr. Perez and her staff are always attentive and her prices are reasonable and affordable. Saying goodbye to your pet is one of the most difficult decisions you may ever make in your life. As a Doctor with over Fourteen years of experience, I try to make the process as it can be for the grieving owners. I am compassionate, empathetic and non- judgmental. As a vetenarian I understand the progression of diseases and the suffering is usually inevitable. Saying goodbye is the single most compassionate thing you can do for your pet, that is why I am deeply disturbed by this review. I can emphatically tell you that never in my career, have I been rude of unprofessional to any pet owner going though the grieving process. I have checked my records, and unequevacally this incident never happened in my clinic nor would it ever. The employees of Palmetto animal clinic nor myself would ever engage in any behavior that would not show compassion toward a grieving owner. Lastly, the prices that we charge to put an animal to sleep are highly competitive and comparable to the other veterinary clinics in the area. Very professional and caring individuals. I personally witnessed how caring they are when my puppy Leah had peritonitis and was in critical condition. They immediately rushed her into surgery and monitored her for a full 7 days after surgery with heavy antibiotics. After an anguishing 7 days, we were told the great news that our puppy Leah was saved and she was able to be taken home! I don't think Leah would be alive today if it wasn't for their determination to make sure Leah survived. Everyone is helpful - from the ladies in the front to the staff that takes care of the dogs overnight. I have so much great things to say about the head veterinarian there. Dr. Perez is very helpful and maintained open communication with us throughout the whole process. It was very warming to know that Dr. Perez and her staff weren't going to give up on my dog; l am forever grateful. Go and see it for yourself, they are truly one of a kind. Palmetto Animal Clinic is the overall best place to take your pets. I highly recommend them. The Office staff is very professional and always willing to accomodate your financial needs. They are ""not"" there for the money they are there for the love of their profession and for the love of animals. I for one have been taking all my pets there for many years. For a matter of fact they just saved my dog Kobie's life and I cannot thank them enough for doing so. Kobie was experincing seizures and had very low blood sugar. They dianosged him with a inumsiloma in his pancreas, which they surgically removed. While he was under there care I cannot express how loving and caring they were with him. The whole staff from the office to the assistants and especially to the dedicated doctors Kobie has another chance at life!!! They insisted they were going to save him and they sure did!!!! My family & I will forever be grateful for there tender loving care with Kobie. These are the most compasionate and dedicated individuals I have ever met.
