We’ve been taking our dogs here for a few years and within the last year the fees and service have deteriorated. Repetitive charges after original diagnosis. Asked to return multiple times rather than addressing concerns on a single visit. We feel they want to keep adding charges for exams/diagnosis already addressed. Lab test after lab test, and so on. They know how to pull at emotional strings and continue to up charge

This place is AMAZING! They are a pet parent's best choice for their fur babies care. My boyfriend and I have two sphynx cats (hairless cats) and the female recently had a litter, the whole pregnancy was just a disaster and super nerve racking. My adult sphynx cats go to a major chain clinic associated with a well known pet store. We even pay monthly "wellness plans" that come out to a whopping total of 60 bucks a month. Let me tell you they are garbage!!! Anyway because of the complications that had arisen with the birth of the kitties a good friend of mine recommended Paradise Animal clinic! I'm so glad I discovered them! One of the kittens that is barely two weeks old developed a HUGE abscess on its hind leg. They took me in with no appointment. They gave my grand-kitten a shot of antibiotics and sent me home with meds for a week. The treatment from start to finish was pleasant. Dr. Palacios was the one that attended me. He was both knowledgeable and caring. I was so pleased with the experience -BUT- that isn't even the best part, want to know how much the cost of the entire visit was including meds? 40 bucks!!! This place really cares about pets. They don't try to nickel and dime concerned pet parents. This is more than what I asked for! This is probably one of the best Veterinarians I've ever been to!

I have been going to Dr. Pausa for years. Never has the staff or vet been rude. On the contrary they truly care. I had two bull terriers that saw only Dr. Pausa from birth until they passed and when it was time to put them to sleep everyone was very understanding of the pain. (Both times) Now he treats my boxer mix. I highly recommend everyone there.

The 1st dog got ran over by a car her little leg was broken. They got to save her leg they helped with a payment plan to help pay for her Surgery and stay. The prices are not crazy because they do care for the animals.
Just yesterday my two other dogs decided to go and have some fun with a toad( mind you they were just suppose to use the bathroom and come right back in). When I go to see them in the back yard they were dying. Horrible experience, quickly me and my cousin took them here. The staff opened their doors immediately and took action to save the pups. They are alive thanks to the staff and the doctor . God Bless this place and their good work

Doctor is SPECTACULAR, caring, listens to your concerns and treats your pet with so much love. His staff is very friendly and down to earth. Highly recommended. I am so surprised to see so many negative reviews for Paradise Animal Clinic. This is the only vet I trust! I've been bringing my dogs to Dr. Pausa for over 10 years and they're so great, my dogs are always taken care of. In fact, a few years ago, my poodle had a stroke and I didn't think he would survive and Dr. Pausa, Dr. Martinez and their teams saved his precious life. The receptionist and everyone there are truly one of a kind. They treat me and my dogs are part of the family. I love them!

Unfortunately my wife and I established a relationship with the vet and staff for over 3 years. My sister had enjoyed bringing her pets to this clinic as well. When our cat developed an UTI, the vet assured us that with treatment he would recover. We spent more than $700.00 in vet bills for treatment. Little did we know, that he would die in my wife's arms a few days later after leaving this clinic. Due to this experience, we decided never to return to that clinic again. I feel that my family and I were misled. Our cat experienced intense pain in the end and we feel that could have been avoided.

I had a very bad experience. They charged $215 for two lab tests and 1 antibiotic. They never told my daughter that it was going to be that much. My daughter called me at work and I spoke with the front desk lady and asked her if we could pay half because I didn't have all the money and she said that she would ask the doctor. They never called me back instead they took complete advantage of my daughter and told her that our SICK dog had to stay overnight. Max is only 1 yr old and he suffers from seizures, these people did not care. Now my dog is sitting there in a very small cage all alone feeling sick and I hope he does not have any seizures. All for $115 that I would have paid in a few days when I had to bring him back for follow up.

If I could give 10 stars, I would! Dr. Pausa has been my family vet since I can remember. So much so, that my mom used to take her dog to his father... now that we got that out of the way.... I SWEAR by Dr. Pausa and his staff... they are attentive, caring, and straight forward with the client. If you want to know something, just ask! They are always willing to help and make sure you and your pet are taken care of. Dr. Pausa has saved 4-5 dogs of our dogs in different occasions and I completely and whole-heartedly recommend him! They are affordable and thorough! Understanding and compassionate... and will never steer you in the wrong way.

They misdiagnosed mt dog and the dosage they prescribed was too much for her weight - 12 lbs. She ended seizing and I had to rush her to ST. Francis Animal hospital in Pines, where they had to flush out the medication from her system. It was too late and she passed away!!
Horrible service. I live a few blocks away from there, but won't even take my other dogs to get their nails cut there!!!

I am surprised to see how many negative reviews this clinic has on Yelp! I, for one, have zero complaints. My cats have been treated with love and attention. The vets are professional, friendly, and willing to answer any questions. They,in fact, saved my cat's life 2 years ago when he had a serious stomach issue. Overall, the practice is clean, prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly.

On March 6 i took my dog to see the doctor since my dog was having leg pain they sent me home with metacam 0.5 . Today i gave her the medication she started trembling , having tachycardia , her nose was ice cold so i went straight to the their office so the dr could see her . When i got to the office the lady from front desk told me you have to wait like anyone else temblors are normal i was like are you serious my dog is having a reaction to the medication you guys gave her if we wait and something happens to her you will be responsible and she just started laughing with the other lady who works next to her . I called the police and filed a report against her and the clinic i will file a sue and will contact any department related with animal control because i wont stop until this lady is fire . IF YOU VALUE YOUR DOG'S LIVE PLEASE DONT TAKE THEM TO THIS CLINIC

And when I tried asking any questions I was told that it's all done and to pay $60!! I have no idea what kind of shot they gave my dog and her toe nail is still broken, they didn't even clean the blood off her nail!!! The vet was extremely rude and screamed out make sure to charge her extra for the shot. All they do is rob your money and don't give a crap about your pet!l this place doesn't even deserve one star!

Small, affordable animal clinic in Hialeah/Miami Lakes area. They work on walk-ins, so making an appointment is not of importance. Both a vet and veterinary surgeon are present daily, which is great because you are able to get a second opinion directly from the surgeon without having to wait for the day of the procedure. As far as money is concerned, I had taken in both of my dogs for all of their shots, check ups, antibiotics for infected burns they received at the groomers, as well as a quote for removal of one dog's cyst, all for $190. They even waived the visit fee. I'm very satisfied, and will be taking my sheltie pup there for all his veterinary needs as well!

I have been going to Dr. Pausa for years. Never has the staff or vet been rude. On the contrary they truly care. I had two bull terriers that saw only Dr. Pausa from birth until they passed and when it was time to put them to sleep everyone was very understanding of the pain. (Both times) Now he treats my boxer mix. I highly recommend everyone there.

Dr Pausa has been taking care of my 2 Chihuahuas since they were pups. His team does amazing work and it's a very clean and orderly practice. Love this vet office! 👍

The 1st dog got ran over by a car her little leg was broken. They got to save her leg they helped with a payment plan to help pay for her Surgery and stay. The prices are not crazy because they do care for the animals.
Just yesterday my two other dogs decided to go and have some fun with a toad( mind you they were just suppose to use the bathroom and come right back in). When I go to see them in the back yard they were dying. Horrible experience, quickly me and my cousin took them here. The staff opened their doors immediately and took action to save the pups. They are alive thanks to the staff and the doctor . God Bless this place and their good work

Doctor is SPECTACULAR, caring, listens to your concerns and treats your pet with so much love. His staff is very friendly and down to earth. Highly recommended. I am so surprised to see so many negative reviews for Paradise Animal Clinic. This is the only vet I trust! I've been bringing my dogs to Dr. Pausa for over 10 years and they're so great, my dogs are always taken care of. In fact, a few years ago, my poodle had a stroke and I didn't think he would survive and Dr. Pausa, Dr. Martinez and their teams saved his precious life. The receptionist and everyone there are truly one of a kind. They treat me and my dogs are part of the family. I love them!

Unfortunately my wife and I established a relationship with the vet and staff for over 3 years. My sister had enjoyed bringing her pets to this clinic as well. When our cat developed an UTI, the vet assured us that with treatment he would recover. We spent more than $700.00 in vet bills for treatment. Little did we know, that he would die in my wife's arms a few days later after leaving this clinic. Due to this experience, we decided never to return to that clinic again. I feel that my family and I were misled. Our cat experienced intense pain in the end and we feel that could have been avoided.

I had a very bad experience. They charged $215 for two lab tests and 1 antibiotic. They never told my daughter that it was going to be that much. My daughter called me at work and I spoke with the front desk lady and asked her if we could pay half because I didn't have all the money and she said that she would ask the doctor. They never called me back instead they took complete advantage of my daughter and told her that our SICK dog had to stay overnight. Max is only 1 yr old and he suffers from seizures, these people did not care. Now my dog is sitting there in a very small cage all alone feeling sick and I hope he does not have any seizures. All for $115 that I would have paid in a few days when I had to bring him back for follow up.

If I could give 10 stars, I would! Dr. Pausa has been my family vet since I can remember. So much so, that my mom used to take her dog to his father... now that we got that out of the way.... I SWEAR by Dr. Pausa and his staff... they are attentive, caring, and straight forward with the client. If you want to know something, just ask! They are always willing to help and make sure you and your pet are taken care of. Dr. Pausa has saved 4-5 dogs of our dogs in different occasions and I completely and whole-heartedly recommend him! They are affordable and thorough! Understanding and compassionate... and will never steer you in the wrong way.

The prices are not crazy because they do care for the animals. I have been taking my two Shitzus to Paradise for over 7 years and absolutely LOVE THEM. From saving my puppy when she almost drowned to operating my older dog during a severe case of gallbladder stones, the staff and doctors have been honest, caring, and dedicated to providing the best care for my 4-legged babies. Not to mention that scheduling visits and stopping by to buy Rx food is always convenient.

They misdiagnosed mt dog and the dosage they prescribed was too much for her weight - 12 lbs. She ended seizing and I had to rush her to ST. Francis Animal hospital in Pines, where they had to flush out the medication from her system. It was too late and she passed away!!
Horrible service. I live a few blocks away from there, but won't even take my other dogs to get their nails cut there!!!

I am surprised to see how many negative reviews this clinic has on Yelp! I, for one, have zero complaints. My cats have been treated with love and attention. The vets are professional, friendly, and willing to answer any questions. They,in fact, saved my cat's life 2 years ago when he had a serious stomach issue. Overall, the practice is clean, prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly.

I don't usually rate any business but when the life of someone i love (My Maltese ) it's in jeopardy i will do whatever it takes . On March 6 i took my dog to see the doctor since my dog was having leg pain they sent me home with metacam 0.5 . Today i gave her the medication she started trembling , having tachycardia , her nose was ice cold so i went straight to the their office so the dr could see her . When i got to the office the lady from front desk told me you have to wait like anyone else temblors are normal i was like are you serious my dog is having a reaction to the medication you guys gave her if we wait and something happens to her you will be responsible and she just started laughing with the other lady who works next to her . I called the police and filed a report against her and the clinic i will file a sue and will contact any department related with animal control because i wont stop until this lady is fire . IF YOU VALUE YOUR DOG'S LIVE PLEASE DONT TAKE THEM TO THIS CLINIC

Worst vet clinic EVER! Went in for my puppies broken toe nail and was in and out by 5 minutes. They gave my puppy a shot without even explaining what it was or any side effects. And when I tried asking any questions I was told that it's all done and to pay $60!! I have no idea what kind of shot they gave my dog and her toe nail is still broken, they didn't even clean the blood off her nail!!! The vet was extremely rude and screamed out make sure to charge her extra for the shot. All they do is rob your money and don't give a crap about your pet!l this place doesn't even deserve one star!

Small, affordable animal clinic in Hialeah/Miami Lakes area. They work on walk-ins, so making an appointment is not of importance. Both a vet and veterinary surgeon are present daily, which is great because you are able to get a second opinion directly from the surgeon without having to wait for the day of the procedure. As far as money is concerned, I had taken in both of my dogs for all of their shots, check ups, antibiotics for infected burns they received at the groomers, as well as a quote for removal of one dog's cyst, all for $190. They even waived the visit fee. I'm very satisfied, and will be taking my sheltie pup there for all his veterinary needs as well!

All they cared about was ripping me off 200 for only looking at her and one blood test so if you value your pets life do not go there................

I brought my yorkie there the first time the other day per a referral of a good friend. He took the time to explain everything and his staff was friendly. I stayed in the clinic while all of the bloodwork was ran in the back. Digital X-rays had immediate results and Ranger is doing so well now. I highly recommend them.
