About two weeks ago, I called because my cocker spaniel was projectile vomiting. I called a little under an hour before closing as I lived not even 5 minutes away and my preferred vet (Batista) was closed. The receptionist let me know that they only had two rooms available and asked how far I was. After I let her know I was basically down the road she told me she could only refer me to a 24 hour pet hospital. Total lack of sympathy and remorse. She did not say they had appointments coming up or that they had another emergency case. Just flat out told me know after mentioning rooms were available and asking how far I was. Never trying here again.

Went here for my cats surgery procedure and everything went perfectly. the woman Angie at the front desk was really nice and the technician was really friendly too. However, i went here again recently and the woman at the front desk was someone different and was not as attentive as Angie. After being told by the doctor that my cat only had a few weeks left to live, the doctor showed no sympathy or care for me or my pet. After being told the terrible news about my cat, they said nothing to me and just gave me my $700 bill. They then scheduled a check up for my dying cat KNOWING she only had days left to live. This place is nothing but bad vibes now and seems like they just take advantage of caring pet owners. Really disappointed.

These people advertise a 10% off discount when you register on line through their website. They never respond or acknowledge your registration. After a few days I called to make an appointment for my sick cat. Couldn't wait for them any more.Once I showed up and registered in "person" I was now forfeiting the 10% discount - unbeknownst to me. Should this make a difference? A new client is a new client. They conveniently deleted my on line registration! Very shady business practice.I left this office with 3 pills, a pump spray and $275 poorer for some blood work. This supposedly included a "Free First Exam". They advertise all these promotions and they are all B.S. - just a way to sucker you into going there. No ethics!At the end of the day - my cat is no better now than when he went in. Everything was "normal" according to them. Then they have the audacity to inform me that I would receive a 10% discount on my next visit. Do these people think I'm stupid? All they would do is hike the fees by 10% and I would still be getting screwed. That was the reason I reminded them of the 10% discount promotion AFTER the bill was issued. They didn't like that. They don't conduct business in good faith.This place is a rip off. Do yourself a favor and find another veterinary office. One star is one too many unfortunately zero stars is not an option here on Yelp.

Many years ago I had two malteses and they loved him, they both had long lives thanks to his care. Now I own 3 malteses, 16 yrs old, 9 yrs and 8 yrs of ago. He's always been by their side. They go there often and love the place. The older one (16 years old) have broken vertebraes and thanks to his Laser treatments she's able to walk. All the personnel are very helpful. I would recommend this Hospital to everyone. Must mention that I drive 20 miles to get to their Hospital and don't regret it, it's worth the drive

Sunset Pet Hospital is the most professional Veterinary Hospital I have been to date. The staff are all very knowledgeable and know exactly what they are talking about when it comes to the pet. I have been taking my three dogs all with different problems to Dr. Caballero and he has treated me and my pets with respect and gave me the right diagnosis, even after me and my family have been to three other vets from before him.
I live in Davie which is about 20 mins away from the clinic, but i would not trust anyone else with my dogs. Me and my family support Sunset Pet Hospital and trust them with our pets anytime.

Although Dr. Caballero's clinic is a bit of a drive from my house, I trust no one but him to take care of my Rhodesian! Ever since Sunset Hospital surpassed all expectations and helped me when my dog would not eat and lost almost 20 pounds, I knew I could always rely on them. Any issues my dog may have, I can be assured Sunset Pet Hospital will do its best to help at very reasonable prices. The staff is courteous and friendly, the prices are affordable, and the location is great. I've been to many different vets, and this one stands out! The clinic looks fantastic and you can feel assured knowing your pets are in good hands here.

Amazing service! The staff is diligent and courteous. Dr. Caballero is caring and you can tell that he is very knowledgeable in his field. I have a frenchie that has very problematic skin. I went to various vets,dished out a bunch of money, and no results. Then I went to Dr. Caballero and he was diagnosed properly and treated appropriately, and now his skin is perfect. Thank you Sunset Pet Hospital for taking care of my baby! New second location is amazing and state of the art. i high recommend both locations.

I am extremely happy with Sunset Pet Hospital. Dr. Caballero and his staff are wonderful. This is a clean place, friendly environment. Most importantly they treat both my dog Starfish and cat Shadow with care. Our dog injured her leg really bad and needed surgery, I am so impressed with the great care they gave her while we were falling apart. I definitely recommend them and I'm so happy they are close by. Dr. Caballero is an excellent veterinarian with many years of experience. He has been our veterinarian for 20 plus years. He is a compassionate doctor and sensitive to the concerns of his client's concerns for their beloved pets. I would not entrust my babies to anyone else. He has a friendly staff that always makes you feel welcomed.
The Pet Hospital is always clean and well-maintained and they offer a wide variety of services and pet products.

The best people anyone could ever wish for. Everyone is the most attentive, I do not know their names, but the whole staff are the best with dogs or pets. They are the nicest, all of them, and they love animals. Their receptionist even remembered my dog's name and what he was there for even weeks after his latest visit to get some stitches removed. Which I think was very remarkable because they see MANY pets every day. Dr. Caballero is the best too. I knew his father for many years and now I take my dog to him exclusively. Best people anyone could wish for. They are the best and they don't even try. You can see it's just how they are.

TERRIBLE SERVICE! BEWARE!In December 2013, I dropped off my dog to be boarded, get her vaccisnes and be groomed. When I picked her up, they charged me for everything, however, not only was she was NOT grromed, and I was charged for it, but she had crusted on feces on 2 of her legs. She looked neglected! After having a cow, the manager called me to basically tell me it was my fault because if I wanted one-on-one service, maybe I should have taken her to a PET HOTEL! What knd of answer is that???? In April 2014, I receive a citation from Animal Services that my dog did not have the Rabies shot. When I called them, she looked into it and told me that they did ALL her shots EXCEPT that one! After me telling her I should have been told, the rude receptionist told me it was me, because they have NEVER had this problem before.....Bottom line, their service is terrible, their customer service even worse, and to top it off, it is ALWAYS the customer's fault.... If I am paying for a service, I expect that the service be done correclty! I am out!

Ever since Sunset Hospital surpassed all expectations and helped me when my dog would not eat and lost almost 20 pounds, I knew I could always rely on them. Any issues my dog may have, I can be assured Sunset Pet Hospital will do its best to help at very reasonable prices. The staff is courteous and friendly, the prices are affordable, and the location is great. I've been to many different vets, and this one stands out! The clinic looks fantastic and you can feel assured knowing your pets are in good hands here.

Amazing service! The staff is diligent and courteous. Dr. Caballero is caring and you can tell that he is very knowledgeable in his field. I have a frenchie that has very problematic skin. I went to various vets,dished out a bunch of money, and no results. Then I went to Dr. Caballero and he was diagnosed properly and treated appropriately, and now his skin is perfect. Thank you Sunset Pet Hospital for taking care of my baby! New second location is amazing and state of the art. i high recommend both locations.

I am extremely happy with Sunset Pet Hospital. Dr. Caballero and his staff are wonderful. This is a clean place, friendly environment. Most importantly they treat both my dog Starfish and cat Shadow with care. Our dog injured her leg really bad and needed surgery, I am so impressed with the great care they gave her while we were falling apart. I definitely recommend them and I'm so happy they are close by. Dr. Caballero is an excellent veterinarian with many years of experience. He has been our veterinarian for 20 plus years. He is a compassionate doctor and sensitive to the concerns of his client's concerns for their beloved pets. I would not entrust my babies to anyone else. He has a friendly staff that always makes you feel welcomed.
The Pet Hospital is always clean and well-maintained and they offer a wide variety of services and pet products.

The best people anyone could ever wish for. Everyone is the most attentive, I do not know their names, but the whole staff are the best with dogs or pets. They are the nicest, all of them, and they love animals. Their receptionist even remembered my dog's name and what he was there for even weeks after his latest visit to get some stitches removed. Which I think was very remarkable because they see MANY pets every day. Dr. Caballero is the best too. I knew his father for many years and now I take my dog to him exclusively. Best people anyone could wish for. They are the best and they don't even try. You can see it's just how they are.

TERRIBLE SERVICE! BEWARE!In December 2013, I dropped off my dog to be boarded, get her vaccisnes and be groomed. When I picked her up, they charged me for everything, however, not only was she was NOT grromed, and I was charged for it, but she had crusted on feces on 2 of her legs. She looked neglected! After having a cow, the manager called me to basically tell me it was my fault because if I wanted one-on-one service, maybe I should have taken her to a PET HOTEL! What knd of answer is that???? In April 2014, I receive a citation from Animal Services that my dog did not have the Rabies shot. When I called them, she looked into it and told me that they did ALL her shots EXCEPT that one! After me telling her I should have been told, the rude receptionist told me it was me, because they have NEVER had this problem before.....Bottom line, their service is terrible, their customer service even worse, and to top it off, it is ALWAYS the customer's fault.... If I am paying for a service, I expect that the service be done correclty! I am out!

Our pets (babies) have known no other Vet and the peace of mind of knowing our 4 legged family members are in his care, is priceless. He is not only a great Vet with extensive knowledge and experience, but a compasionate Vet who knows, understands and is sensitive to the love connection between Owner and their Pet.
