We offer owners and pets a cozy environment where both can be comfortable. Owners are encouraged to ask questions and learn how to best care for their animals.
Dr. Dilbone emphasizes correct diagnosis and is certain to advise the best actions for your pet; not just a range of actions that might be beneficial. By virtue of over 50 years experience as a veterinarian, the doctor can often get results in a single visit and with a minimum of testing.
As a modern veterinary hospital we offer many advanced and specialized services including: 1) a complete array of on-site testing capabilities, 2) a wide range of medical, orthopedic (knees, hips, joints), and soft tissue surgeries, 3) a chiropractor certified by the AVCA (American Veterinary Chiropractic Association) for complete bone care, 4) adipose stem cell therapy for animal osteoarthritis, 5) dental services, 6) internal medicine, 7) and much more!

I was very impressed with this office!! I had a pet emergency and called my regular small animal vet for an appointment for my puppies that had got into some poison and was turned away. This office not only got me an apt, but called back and had us come in immediately. The entire staff was great, treated my puppies (which survived) with great care, and sent a follow up postcard.
Thank you so much for great care!! I appreciate your office and staff. We will return!!

Dr. Dilbone was very good with our 7 month old puppy. He worked with us on what we could afford and only cared about the well being of the animal. We are switching to this vet.

This is the finest veterinary practice I've ever taken a dog to - and I've been to a few because of moves and unhappiness with the practice. Dr. Dilbone and his entire staff are genuinely interested, helpful, responsive, and caring. My dog loves to visit! As for the practical things, they provide excellent service and their prices are exactly what I expect. People complain about how much they have to pay to get care for their pets, but they don't acknowledge that the care comes as a result of staff, education, equipment, facility, and more. I recommend Animal Health Center to anyone who is new to the area or looking for the RIGHT place to take your beloved pet.

I don't know where to start. My heart was breaking watching my little Lexi Lou wither away. After $$$$ spent and teeth pulled she still wasn't eating and kept losing weight. On a whim came here for second opinion. Never in my entire life have I met such a caring group of professionals. Dr. Dilbone sat helped whispered to Lexi and was so thorough and really practiced medicine the way it's meant to be practice by thorough assessment and examination. After a long morning a plan ...was developed. Our little girl has gained weight, is eating, and back to being naughty. Melissa, Lindsey, Mario, and of course Dr. Dilbone I will never ever be able to show my appreciation and gratitude for your care and concern for Lexi. And I am so happy that Lexi feels safe with Dr. Dilbone and doesn't run away and I know this is because he takes his time and allows the animals to gain his trust. Now Lexi even rubs noses with Papa! All you have to do is walk in the door and you sense this place is different! There is an abiding love of animals and you can feel it. I am 57 and Dr. Dilbone was my first vet in Naples 50 years ago. He moved up here and started Hilltop in Alachua. He retired but he missed his great love too much and opened this office a few years ago in High Springs. I stayed at Hilltop because my favorite vet tech Mario was still there but once Mario moved to be with Dr. Dilbone, it was a happy day for me. I could come home to my childhood vet and have my favorite tech as well. The office staff round out the picture with their exceptional service and caring ways. My dog required dental work and I had been putting it off due to the expense and my limited budget. Dr. Dilbone worked with me and my dog no longer has rotten teeth. Please do yourself and your pet a favor, come see for yourself. I promise you will not regret it. You are given the gift of the first office visit for free. That alone should tell you this place is pretty unusual. Dr. Dilbone has a very special bond with animals. The world is a much better place because he is in it - Nina

They've done it again! Doctor Dilbone, Doctor Akziak, Leah, Jenna, Melissa... poured love and expertise on my old Vinny! What I thought was "just a painful toe" turns out to have been harboring a much bigger problem. Once again, Doctor LOOKED AT THE BIG PICTURE and saved the good boy who is now recovering from surgery in the best possible way. He will soon be running through the fields as fast as his old joints permit! You are all precious beyond words, and beyond gratitude!

I was very impressed with this office!! I had a pet emergency and called my regular small animal vet for an appointment for my puppies that had got into some poison and was turned away. This office not only got me an apt, but called back and had us come in immediately. The entire staff was great, treated my puppies (which survived) with great care, and sent a follow up postcard.

This is the finest veterinary practice I've ever taken a dog to - and I've been to a few because of moves and unhappiness with the practice. Dr. Dilbone and his entire staff are genuinely interested, helpful, responsive, and caring. My dog loves to visit! As for the practical things, they provide excellent service and their prices are exactly what I expect. People complain about how much they have to pay to get care for their pets, but they don't acknowledge that the care comes as a result of staff, education, equipment, facility, and more. I recommend Animal Health Center to anyone who is new to the area or looking for the RIGHT place to take your beloved pet.

What I thought was "just a painful toe" turns out to have been harboring a much bigger problem.
