The doctors/nurses will let you know what type of money you are going to pay before you leave the room which is nice since you won't be surprised by extra costs. Super happy I got a chance to review this spot. My girlfriend rescued the most adorable cat. We named him Oliver. Well Oliver is a lover and not a fighter. So he got his leg bitten by a super mean cat. He came limping home and we rushed him to Broward Animal Hospital. I will say that Doctor Bishop is awesome. He has a heart of gold and I can’t say that enough. He cares about the animals and you could tell. After the first initial visit Oliver got sick again from the bite he had gotten a few days earlier. Doctor Bishop said, “Bring him here immediately!” We did. He grabbed Oliver and whisked him away like a regular emergency room for humans. Urgent patients get seen first. I am a hospital scrub so I know how that works. He came out of the room and said”Give me an hour or so with Oliver and you can come pick him back up.” It was Saturday so we got coffee and ran some errands. The Doctor personally called about an hour later. Explained what he did and advised us the little guy is ready for pick up. Broward Animal Hospital, Dr. Bishop, and the staff are all caring, helpful, professional, and down to earth. I have been bringing my dogs there for almost 20 years, no complaints. I have never waited more than 20 minutes and that time is spent chatting with the friendly staff or other customers with their pets. I have never had a problem getting an appointment, or quotes for services. Dr.Bishop has to be the hardest working animal lover, and his passion for what he does, shows. Milo has been with him for years, much like the rest of the staff, and his passion, and caring for the animals also shows. The staff up front is very kind and always helpfull. As a receptionist at another hospital, I am completely in shock with the way the staff handles their phone calls. I called for a mutual clients records, was put on hold for 20 minutes, had to call back multiple times, and was never asked if this was a medical emergency just placed on hold right away without being able to respond to them. I understand offices get busy. But what happened next is what really bothered me. When I finally got a hold of someone I was rudely told that sending the records over was their last priority. What if this animal was being seen for an emergency? Is the client not important anymore just because its at a different hospital? Quite disappointed that I was quoted $35 for a three-year rabies shot, but was charged $70 (including an exam I did not approve, and one that barely took 30 seconds). They also did not scan the documents i brought on my last visit and couldn't tell me if my dog needed any other shots.Read Less

4/2016 WITH NO PREJUDICE!! If you lived behind this so called wonderful hospital, you people would see another side to how great it is. I wouldn't say their clinic is so great. you don't see what goes on after you leave your dear animal boarding. Because , They leave the dogs out side to bark for hours. Even when it is so hot in the 90's. Plus they never talk to the poor parrot , that is out side all the time. Cold of winter or hot in summer. That poor bird screeches , being unhappy .They don't care about residential neighbors at all. They were letting the dogs out of inside at 7:30 am every morning. Holidays, weekends sat, Sunday, the day of rest. That's a joke!!! I am on Disability and have to put up with noise every day and Weekends, Holidays .I cannot afford to move or I would people. When I moved in here, there wasn't a peep! For the past 1 1/2 years this has been going on. They think it is a joke. They wave back when I get up set. The police have talked to them several times. It is good for a week then starts again. Next time you drop your precious animal friends off to be boarded or looked after. Come here before 8a.m.and a little after 8a.m and you will see what I mean. About all the dogs coming out of inside. They get so upset to be outside . They bark with no ending , until they are let back in the building. That is very stressful on me and any dear animal. Their help drive into the parking lot at high rates of speed. There is a preschool down the alley. Where children walk with their mothers . The other day a worker was so mad. Because I complained to the police and they were told to keep the noise down .He could of killed a child or mother at the rate of speed he was going, and not the first time. I hate to leave this message. But I have had it with these uncaring so called business people. It's a shame what our world has come to. No caring about other people that are sick and in so much pain? I can't sleep normal hours at night. I am up half the night with pain. Then every day , happy mornings again!!!. It use to be at 7:30 A.M. Now it is 8 A.M. every morning. I have been coming here for years with my cat Lucy who was a feral cat who came to my back door 6 years ago. Dr. Bishop is the best you can tell he really loves animals. Especially when I bring Lucy in as she still after all these years is very skiddish and nervous. I brought in a new stray to him this past week. He was very kind with the poor old kitty that someone had dumped. He said she was probably 17-18 years old. Anyway he was very kind to her in checking her out as well as cutting back her nails. Dr. Bishop, and his staff are the bomb!!! Wonderful experience. Dr. Bishop is "Old School" spends time with his patients and their owners too. It's not an in and out thing. He truly cares. First I must say, I came here because sonny had a lump!!! I am always panicky when it comes to doctors mine or my pets.  This place is top notch and I have been to a few to say the least.  Its not fancy, but it is clean and the staff is quite proffessional and so caring.  I  dropped Sonny off for his operation at 8:30 am and left with tears in my eyes, full of angst that this was gonna turn into a quite emotionally and wallet draining proceedure.  Well it was neither ...Dr klein called me about an hour after I dropped Sonny off to tell me Sonny was out of surgery pheew!!! I said so  fast and Dr klein said yes and I wated to call you right away as I no you were worried ... WTH good service does exist in florida (Im a new yorker).  went to pick Sonny up the bill was less than I was quoted, the work was seamless and neat and 2 days later I got a call saying Sonny was cancer free. Well I liked this vet at first n love the receptionist Patty. However after a botched surgery on my dog, giving my one cat 5mg of thyroid meds when all he needed was 1mg, and after a very wrong diagnoses on my other cat I am done! I brought my cat for weight loss n not eating n was told he was anemic and prescribed a dose of appetite stimulant mirtazapine. After taking him to hollywood animal hospital I was told he had cancer and the dose of appetite stimulant he was given was overdosing him! He was supposed to get 1/8 tablet every 3days and this vet gave him 1/4 tablet twice a day! Then never even called to apologize! Not acceptable at all!!!!!! Read Less

These people are FAB! They always get me in, even if its in a moments notice. I live(d) right down the street, so if there was an emergency, they would take me in without question. I think they pipe cat heroin out of the vents of this place. My ever so spastic kitten Elly turns into this quiet, very calm little kitty when we are in there. The Dr.'s there are also very calm, and knows what they are doing. Im going to miss this crew (as I just moved North). The prices are affordable, and I never walkout scratching my head thinking "how in the hell did I just drop that much money?!" And Dr., Thank you for the Kitty sleeping pills. It made the 3 day drive a breeze! If you are looking for good honest people to work with your animals, this is the place. Its a little old and dingy, but dont let the looks fool you.
