Worst vet experience ever. The people were very rude. The front desk lady came in to the room to yell at my wife and I about how we were using the wrong collar on our dog. Whether she is correct or not, I don’t mind researching it but there are much better ways to approach a situation you don’t agree with. On top of this she was getting on to us about how are dog was barking and crying too much and needs to be in classes. She is 4 months old and we are trying to train her and have been on a class waiting list for a month. By the time we were about done we were fuming so much from the situation that when the vet asked us if we wanted to do heart warm we told him not right now (we were not going to give them any more business). The vet says “oh! You don’t want to protect your dog from 12in worms that could kill her?!” We respond “No! We are just not going to do this here.”
That was insane....if anyone else has further recommendations for a better vet we would be more than happy to take a look, but never again at this dirty musty place.

You've been warned. Stay clear from this place:
If I could get zero stars I would. Not only is the vet incompetent, the staff is just as incompetent. Brought in a my cat with a UTI and it was never treated. Not only was this UTI never treated, but the staff gave my cat the WRONG medicine. I was prescribed medicine for a CANINE 300mg that could had cause my cat serious liver damage. When called about what happened, the doctor avoid the questions that was being asked. The doctor also said, "well, your cat isn't exactly the easier to get along with." What does that even mean? Why would you say that about someone's pet? Donna is next to nothing but annoying and a huge loud mouth who think she knows it all, yet can't even perform at her job as a receptionist. But hey don't take my word for it. Go visit this chop shop and risk having your pet die.

I could not ask for a more caring vet! Dr. Cromer has been taking care of my cat(s) for over 20 years. Over the years my pets got into multiple illnesses and injuries, including rattlesnake bite, bites from feral cats, ingestion of non-edible substances (including the rope from the drapes!), abscesses, UTI's, etc...Donna is a wonderful assistant. Their love for pets and Dr. Cromer's knowledge and abilities always allowed my pets to make fast recoveries. Lastly, Dr. Cromer is now taking care of my very elderly cat. He is treating my cat with kindness and allowing me to make enlightened decisions about his care. His fees are very reasonable. If you are looking for a vet to take care of your pets, look no further, you are at the right place!

We highly recommend Baywood Animal Hospital and Dr. Cromer to everyone. We have several animals (2 cats and 1 dog) we have been taking to this place for many years now. The most important thing to our family is that the doctor knows what he is doing. Every time something was wrong with our animal, Dr. Cromer was able to diagnose it right away and fixed it with medication and/or appropriate treatment.
Our appointments have been always scheduled asap and at our convenience. For us it has been great experience here!

Dr. Cromer and his receptionist, Donna, along with the entire staff at Baywood Animal Hospital are OUTSTANDING! I have been a client of theirs for 12 years, and wouldn't trade them for anyone else in town. Dr. Cromer is always so kind. He is a knowledgable and experienced vet. He never rushes us in and out, and he is happy to answer any questions I have. When he sends off blood work, he is the one who always calls to tell me the results and explains them. On several occasions, one of my pets became ill at closing time. I've called, told them the symptoms and to my relief, Dr. Cromer and Donna have waited for me and checked my sick pet after hours. Where else could we get such wonderful care? As for Donna, she is simply amazing. She is in the office every morning at 7:00, so we can drop off our pets or purchase meds. In addition, I've called Donna many times, early in the morning, asking for her advice with one of my cats or the dog. She is so kind and understanding, and she truly loves animals. She has celebrated with me when my pets recovered, and she's cried with me when one has passed. Thank goodness for Dr. Cromer and Donna. I don't know what we'd do without our friends at Baywood Animal Hospital.

OK yes I will give you guys the receptionist is a little hyper but that is how she is. That is how she gets work done. In the course of 2 years, I have been on the phone with her and I have heard her on the phone she is completely understanding and will walk you through making your pet better before bringing them in. What other vets office is going to do that? Other vets bring you in daily to pay that office visit. As far as Dr Cromer, the man has stood there and explained to me why he is making the decision he is making. I ask plenty of questions and I don't usually go in there unless my dog has 2 or more issues going on. Yes typically after they give you an Rx the visit is complete. The question is how doe your pet feel not how do you feel. You know once a customer of Dr Cromer's had 2 dogs he couldn't keep do to heart problems so Dr Cromer offered to board his 2 dogs for a couple weeks FREE of charge until the grandson could come pick them up and the hyper receptionist asked me if I could wait a minute so she could say bye for 2 minutes to the dogs she was attached to. That is just awesome in my opinion. This office has their heart in the right place and that is hard to find people. Oh yes and check out who Dr Cromer helps Jax Arborotoreum a nice park where you can walk your pets... hmmmm again heart in the right place.

My dog was treated here, I came in about 4 times in one month. In my opinion, the receptionist always appeared to be under the influence of a stimulant. My first time there, she ran from the front desk to the back (I followed and watched) as she got down on the floor to take my dogs temperature. She took a call while on the floor so in one hand is a thermometer and in the other the phone. I was scared. I was uncomfortable with the multi-tasking. If this isn't enough, the broken bone didn't show up in the xray they took, they wanted me to get a heartworm test three months before it was due, I could go on and on I ended up getting a second opinion on something and seeing another vet. I paid for services again, but my baby is worth it.

I went here as a first time customer. Dr. Cromer did not even introduce himself to me. He kept trying to walk out of the door as I asked questions, as if he didn't have time. No information was given to me what-so-ever. I had to ask the secretary information because the vet and vet tech never came back after examining my dog and prescribing him medications. I changed vets immediately and after having been to another vet, I realize even more so how awful the experience was. Not only will I never recommend this vet to anyone, I will make sure that everyone knows NOT to go to this vet!

We now have all three of our dogs in their care because the last facility's care was severely lacking because the were more worried about profits rather than animal care.

Worst vet experience ever. The people were very rude. The front desk lady came in to the room to yell at my wife and I about how we were using the wrong collar on our dog. Whether she is correct or not, I don’t mind researching it but there are much better ways to approach a situation you don’t agree with. If this isn't enough, the broken bone didn't show up in the xray they took, they wanted me to get a heartworm test three months before it was due, I could go on and on I ended up getting a second opinion on something and seeing another vet. I paid for services again, but my baby is worth it.

I went here as a first time customer. Dr. Cromer did not even introduce himself to me. He kept trying to walk out of the door as I asked questions, as if he didn't have time. No information was given to me what-so-ever. I had to ask the secretary information because the vet and vet tech never came back after examining my dog and prescribing him medications. I changed vets immediately and after having been to another vet, I realize even more so how awful the experience was. Not only will I never recommend this vet to anyone, I will make sure that everyone knows NOT to go to this vet!

Baywood is the most caring center for your pet issues. We had to put down our dog after a wonderful 14+ fun filled years. They understood our concerns and was very responsive to our needs. We now have all three of our dogs in their care because the last facility's care was severely lacking because the were more worried about profits rather than animal care.
