The staff was very compassionate and did not rush. The vet took his time and was very gentle with our precious Stella. It was honestly  easier than I could have ever hoped for. We have been taking our pets here for about 3 years now and we have never had any issues. The staff and vet are always very friendly and do not make you feel uncomfortable nor are they judgmental in the decisions you choose for your pet. We had to put our oldest girl down this week and it was extremely hard for us to decide to do. They made us feel comfortable during the process and let us be there with our loved one till we were ready to proceed. I highly recommend using them for your pet care needs. Read Less

As a professional pet sitter, it's really important to have a veterinarian I can trust. Dr Robert Ausherman is that vet. He has all of the important qualities on my "must have" list. Topping the list, he visibly LOVES his work and is always enthusiastic. Even though he's very experienced, you can tell he's genuinely interested and totally focused on every visit, whether it be routine or some type of "mystery". He listens, watches the animal closely, gives you all the rule ins and rule outs, and explains all of the options and possible outcomes. All of my clients that I've referred agree. We frequently have new clients recently relocated without a vet, and it gives me great peace of minding knowing I can refer them to Hendricks Avenue Pet Clinic without reservation. Hendricks Ave has always made time to see my clients' pets quickly when I've called for an appointment. And big bonus, ALL of the staff are just as awesome. By far the best pet clinic in Jacksonville.  The staff is great to the humans and the four legged customers.  They do a great job with annual checkups and overall pet care.  My dog has been there for minor surgery and check ups.  I would recomend this pet clinic to anyone. Read Less
