This was the third vet I had taken my 8 month old cat to, for a gum issue.   Dr. Erdman, Tonya, and the rest of the staff were wonderful to work with.  They were the first vet office I have been to that has seen a gum issue like this in a young cat and they gave me the best advice possible and referred me to a specialist.  Besides being extremely helpful, the facility and room my cat and I were taken into was very soothing and comfortable for my cat, who can get very scared, this was the most comfortable I have seen him in an office.  Would highly recommend Kings Trail for any cat owner. There was no chip but they took my i information and a description of the dog in case the owner came in looking for her, and that day I was able to return the lost dog to her very appreciative owner. I have been going to Kings Trail since 2012. At that time I took in a Momma cat and her Kittens. Dr. Erdman and his staff have been great and very helpful. I have had no problems with appointments. This place is awesome . They saw my 7 1/2 year old boxer, last minute, on a Saturday . She developed a cough and has never been sick. I was terrified. Dr Erdman examined her and gave her some meds. The staff was super friendly. My favorite part was they all got down on the floor with my girl instead of trying to get her on the table. Dr Erdman called me on Monday to check on my baby. Dr. Erdman is wonderful! A coworker with 3 fur babies sent me after raving about him.l and she was right. Appointments are fast and on time, he never overcharged, easy to get an appointment and works on Saturdays. Nothing really to complain about at all. I feel like my pet is in good hands and they have a good system to text (if you opt for it) or email remind you about needed vaccines and meds, other vets we've been with haven't done anything like that and it makes it hard to keep track. Brought my 2 dogs who are polar opposite in every way- size, personality etc. The Dr, assistant and the staff working the desk were friendly, accommodating and treated my dogs like they were their own. I will never be as satisfied with a vet than I am with Dr. Erdman and his staff. I went through several vets before and had no hope that I would find out what was wrong with my beagle but after getting in with Erdman, I finally had a sense of relief. I've had nothing but the best experience when I have to take my pup to the vet. My dog being on the smaller side doesn't much like the shots but everyone there is so sweet to him and makes it as stress free for him- and me as possible. The staff is unbelievably knowledgable and they always have smiles on their faces when I come in- might have to do with how cute my dog is. Would definitely recommend as a primary vet for your pet! I had been going here for years, but had a healthy senior cat so did not need a lot of care. They were very accommodating a few years ago when I had an emergency and needed to board my cat quickly. My only beef is there is no rainbow bridge at Kings Trail. My experience was very sad and cold. I have heard other places will light a candle for you, let you stay with your animal, send a card or flowers but there was none of that. It was short and hurried and I was rushed out the side door since I was visibly upset. I did have one nice person there ask if I was ok to drive home. I won't give this practice even a 1, but I had to give it something, to write this post..... It seems getting out ON TIME is the most important thing to this Vet and staff. As another unhappy patient wrote previously, I brought my kitty back to this Dr. after being seen 10 days earlier with the same problem, a Urinary tract infection. This can be a life threatening medical issue for a cat and the Night before I saw my kitty straining in the box again. So I brought him in at 7:45 AM, the office was not open till 8 AM but I have come in early before and had no issues doing a drop off on my way to work. All vet offices accept drop- offs as you know. Well this day the receptionist i usually dealt with was not there and the vet tech was. I shared that they did not have a machine for me to say i was on my way and would be dropping off. I also said i would be back at 6 PM to pick him up. It was their late day and the machine said they were open till 6. Well this tech told me to BE there by 5:30 and i told her I got off work at 5:30 (new job) and could not be there till 6. Well she said they LEAVE at 6:00 and they will have to keep him over night. So I said if you are open till 6 why can't I pick him up at that time? Well she said we are NOT AN EMERGENCY CLINIC!! At that point I left. When I called to check on my baby, Dr. Erdman told me he would have all of my records ready (I had 4 pets being seen) and not to come back to his practice!!! I asked why and he would not allow me to explain the RUDENESS of his staff that morning. He just didn't want to hear it. So I was thrown out of the practice, I was in tears when I got off the phone.and I've been seeing vets for the last 30 yrs with my pets. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Read Less

Dr. Erdman and staff are the only people that will see my babies! I have 3 cats and 2 dogs, and wouldn't think of taking them elsewhere. My lab has a previous leg injury that Dr. Erdman monitors regularly, and we have a 12 week old puppy with a leg injury that he is taking care of as well. The practice goes beyond my expectations. Personal follow up calls from the doctor to see how my dog is doing after a dental procedure and routine visit. We have taken our pets to Kings Trail since we moved here 3 years ago and can't say enough about how caring they are and how well cared for our pets are whether it's a well checkup or an emergency needing surgery. Every staff member cares, they ask about our pets by name no matter who we have with us at the time, and there is no hesitation by any of our pets to go for a visit. We have also left our two dogs with them while we have been out of town a few times now and knew they were well cared for and happy. No compassion for the pet or the owner. My dad would always go with me, because I'm physically unable to drive, and the doctor never looked at me when he talked, always looked at my dad. I'm 24 years old, and I would like to be respected. He made me feel like I didn't know what he was talking about, so why look at me when there's someone older that would know better? I am the animal lover, and know more about this stuff than the rest of my family. We paid $300 for tests that weren't even accurate. And I knew I was going to have to say goodbye to my kitty anyway, I knew how bad it was. I had to take my kitty to emergency care in Orange Park, and that doctor was so compassionate, toward Kaylee AND my family. Sadly, though, she had to be put down. My mom went back to Kings Trail to let them know, and they didn't seem caring at all. They also somehow convinced us years ago that it was perfectly humane to get a cat declawed. I suppose that was my fault for believing them. I should have stopped coming here long ago. I am never going back.Read Less

Not so long ago, I called Nancy at 5:15 pm and told her my Yogi Bear had a seizure and without hesitation she said bring him right in. Dr. Erdman examined him and referred me immediately to Vet-I- Care Er. Then to my amazement, 15 mins later Dr. Erdman showed up at the ER and came in to see me & Yogi. The compassion he shows for our animals is beyond words. I had to say goodbye (after 16 yrs) to my baby that evening as he crossed the rainbow Bridge. He had cancer. A couple of weeks later, I received a beautiful hardback book named" Beautiful Old Dogs" from Dr. Erdman & staff. You know that their heart is with the animals we love and that is monumental and very rare. Nancy is a beautiful soul. Dr. Erdman is a beautiful soul. I feel safe knowing they are taking care of my babies.I tell everyone about Kings Trail and my experiences. Thank you Dr. Erdman for always being there.Read Less

Kings Trail has always treated me right. My two spoiled dogs and I are always greeted by friendly staff. Know matter how busy the practice is I always feel like I am getting the attention I deserve and my answers are met. The staff and the veterinarian is very thorough in his office visit and delivery even with a phone call days later.
