I paid close to $1,000 to be told by a DIFFERENT vet's office that my dog has a urinary tract infection. This "doctor" shouldn't be allowed to practice.She will run up your bill with unnecessary tests and exams, and provide no ACTUAL treatment or DIAGNOSIS.

Nothing ruffles her 'feathers, she has the patience of JOBE and only gets snippy with me if she finds out I had an after hour concern & did not want to call and bother her. We took our 13 year-old Dachshund to this clinic for the first time for an emergency visit. We were absolutely amazed at the care and attention given our pet by the staff and Dr. Jones from the minute we walked through the door. I have never met a more professional and forthcoming doctor. We had to leave Trouble for the day and were apprehensive about doing so , but after spending time with both Dr. Jones and her staff, we were perfectly comfortable. Dr. Jones explained, in detail, everything we needed to know and the related cost. We sincerely believe Dr. Jones saved our pet's life. I have been taking all my precious pets to Dr. Kandra Jones for over 25 years. She is the most knowledgeable and kindest person and veterinarian that I have ever known. She always shows her concern and does not sugarcoat the diagnosis but tells you the truth. When I started rehabilitating wild animals, she always charged me a nominal fee if any. When I got a raccoon that I decided to raise as my pet, she was the ONLY vet that was knowledgeable of the treatment for him and the ONLY vet that was more than happy to care for him. Since that time, I have raised 4 other raccoons. TobywanCOONobie is still Dr. Jones' patient after 16 years. She has also cared and treated all my dogs and cats during that period of time. I would NEVER take my babies to anyone else. I love them way to much!I am also very pleased with all her staff. They are always very cheerful and helpful. If I have any requests for information, they always get right back to me. Dr. Jones always returns my calls when I need to speak to her and she always calls me on how my pet is doing or if she has additional questions. She said groomers are not trained to expel dog gas, yet she did not do it either. My dog is old and yes she is my world, but to say a bath would kill her. Of course she tried to add on so many different things which I continued to say no to especially after the afore mentioned I was ready to walk. After a quote on the phone of $65 and then the bill was $190 and would have been close to $500 with the added suggestions. Of course as she said she is dying so why not do all these things to her. Methinks not.

AAHA accredited veterinarian Dr. Jones is a wonderful, caring person who treats not just cats & dogs, but small exotics as well. I found her when my chinchilla had been attacked & was near death. Now, several years later, he is still alive & well! I was so impressed that I moved all our animals to her practice & wish I had found her sooner. She was the first to accurately diagnose my aged cat's asthma (he has seen at least 4 other vets from another group). For the first time, he is breathing well & is more active than he has been in years. The most remarkable story, however, is how she helped me save my 5 year old cat with a rare liver disease. Even the specialists she sent me to recommended I euththanize this cat. Dr. Jones disagreed, instead giving me the option to continue fighting her disease as long as my cat wasn't suffering. It has been 6 months & my little cat's blood work is as good as can be expected. Because of Doc's encouragement & creative treatment plans, we were able to extend my sweet young cat's life. My little one is happy & I am so very grateful.

Yes, the price changed after my initial consultation. It went down. The clinic does laser surgery in order to improve the outcome and to lessen the pain of your pet. I am very happy to have this clinic for my permanent vet.

I have been taking my pets to Mandarin Veterinary clinic for over a decade. When I first moved to Mandarin I tried two other vets before I found one I (and my pets) were happy with - and I could not be happier with Dr. Jones. She has treated my cats with care, skill and concern and helped us all through trying times. My cat Tikki had cancer and Dr. Jones did chemo with him and he lived a long time after the cancer. I had years more with a beloved pet due to those treatments. Dr. Jones takes great care of our cats (Tigger, Genji and KC). KC had a punctured eyeball and Dr. Jones did very delicate eye surgery and saved her eye. I think the clinic, the staff and Dr. Jones are great.

2. I did my research before coming to the appointment so I knew what was wrong, I just needed the treatment. She could not see what me & the tech saw. Even w/ both our help. She roughly handed 1 of my pets to me and said nothing was wrong. I persisted in my researched diagnosis. She roughly examined them further to the point of blood & my pet being terrified, & crying. She insisted that nothing was wrong, I persisted that their was. She examined them under a light. Finally took hair samples and examined it under the scope and low and behold she found what I was persisting about.
3. Was rough w/ my pets.
4. Not impressed w/ her communication towards me.
5. She almost sent me home w/ sick pets had I not researched before I could not have persisted in their care.
6. Stood waiting quite awhile in line prior to seeing vet w/o being addressed when I walked in the door even w/ an appointment.
7. The place smelled.

We took our pets here for about 5 years. Care in the beginning was standard. As my poodle mix started getting older they treated her for cushing disease which she had but the outcome was not good. She lost a lot of weight and started throwing up so I completely took her off the med. She gained back her weight and seem to do better without the med. Second time around with the same dog. The dog was having a hard time breathing. I was not sure if the dog would make it through the night. had mentioned that maybe putting her down while in the office might be the right thing to do but they said no. Because they did not have any expertise in the area I was told take the dog home and if she did not make it then it was her time to go. The dog made it through the night and the next day I took her to the specialist in OP. My dog has holes in her lungs where the air was escaping into her body cavity. She stayed there and they helped her but unfortunately after bringing her home she relapsed and we had to put her to sleep. After that experience I stopped going there. The office staff is friendly but slow. I found the vet to be very brash when you questioned her. If you love your pet do not go here.

The people that work at Mandarin Vet Clinic are good and have a good attitude. We were happy at the beginning to have found a doctor that cared about customers, but unfortunately we ended up being not very happy at the end. Our cat was diagnosed with sarcoma therefore she had a surgery. Unfortunately her recovery was very slow because the wound did not want to close completely. She was put down 5 times to re-stitch her over and over until finally after more than a month, the decision was made for her to stay at the vet's office for 2 weeks. Well, the wound close but not completely, she still has a 1 inch open wound and when she was taken to the office to have Dr Jones remove her stitches, Dr. Jones decided to pull the collar off and said the cat was done and fine. Our cat had some scab around that was holding the wound close; when Dr Jones removed the collar she licked and took the scab off and now you can see the hole again. We are not happy because you cannot say to a patient you are ready to go when your wound is still open and not completely healed after 2 months now. We decided to take our cat to another doctor.

I recently adopted two inside cats, and needed to get them declawed. The clinic took time to explain the procedures, options, and costs ahead of time. Immediately after the surgery, they called to inform me of the status of the animals. They kept the cats overnight for observation, and provided special litter so clumping clay would not get into the wounds and create complications. The doctor came out and spoke with me personally about the animals when I picked them up.
They are very busy, but handle the busyness with aplomb and tact. I was very impressed by their service and quality.

We were absolutely amazed at the care and attention given our pet by the staff and Dr. Jones from the minute we walked through the door. I have never met a more professional and forthcoming doctor. We had to leave Trouble for the day and were apprehensive about doing so , but after spending time with both Dr. Jones and her staff, we were perfectly comfortable. I have been taking all my precious pets to Dr. Kandra Jones for over 25 years. She is the most knowledgeable and kindest person and veterinarian that I have ever known. She always shows her concern and does not sugarcoat the diagnosis but tells you the truth. When I started rehabilitating wild animals, she always charged me a nominal fee if any. When I got a raccoon that I decided to raise as my pet, she was the ONLY vet that was knowledgeable of the treatment for him and the ONLY vet that was more than happy to care for him. Since that time, I have raised 4 other raccoons. TobywanCOONobie is still Dr. Jones' patient after 16 years. She has also cared and treated all my dogs and cats during that period of time. I would NEVER take my babies to anyone else. I love them way to much!I am also very pleased with all her staff. They are always very cheerful and helpful. If I have any requests for information, they always get right back to me. Dr. Jones always returns my calls when I need to speak to her and she always calls me on how my pet is doing or if she has additional questions. I felt very betrayed by the way the Vet herself acted and spoke. She hurt my dog cutting her nails where the blood was spurting. When I got up to comfort my dog she ORDERED me to sit back down. She said groomers are not trained to expel dog gas, yet she did not do it either. My dog is old and yes she is my world, but to say a bath would kill her. Of course she tried to add on so many different things which I continued to say no to especially after the afore mentioned I was ready to walk. After a quote on the phone of $65 and then the bill was $190 and would have been close to $500 with the added suggestions. Of course as she said she is dying so why not do all these things to her. Methinks not.

AAHA accredited veterinarian Dr. Jones is a wonderful, caring person who treats not just cats & dogs, but small exotics as well. I found her when my chinchilla had been attacked & was near death. Now, several years later, he is still alive & well! I was so impressed that I moved all our animals to her practice & wish I had found her sooner. She was the first to accurately diagnose my aged cat's asthma (he has seen at least 4 other vets from another group). For the first time, he is breathing well & is more active than he has been in years. The most remarkable story, however, is how she helped me save my 5 year old cat with a rare liver disease. Even the specialists she sent me to recommended I euththanize this cat. Dr. Jones disagreed, instead giving me the option to continue fighting her disease as long as my cat wasn't suffering. It has been 6 months & my little cat's blood work is as good as can be expected. Because of Doc's encouragement & creative treatment plans, we were able to extend my sweet young cat's life. My little one is happy & I am so very grateful.

Yes, the price changed after my initial consultation. It went down. The clinic does laser surgery in order to improve the outcome and to lessen the pain of your pet. I have been taking my pets to Mandarin Veterinary clinic for over a decade. When I first moved to Mandarin I tried two other vets before I found one I (and my pets) were happy with - and I could not be happier with Dr. Jones. She has treated my cats with care, skill and concern and helped us all through trying times. My cat Tikki had cancer and Dr. Jones did chemo with him and he lived a long time after the cancer. I had years more with a beloved pet due to those treatments. Dr. Jones takes great care of our cats (Tigger, Genji and KC). KC had a punctured eyeball and Dr. Jones did very delicate eye surgery and saved her eye. I think the clinic, the staff and Dr. Jones are great.

2. I did my research before coming to the appointment so I knew what was wrong, I just needed the treatment. She could not see what me & the tech saw. Even w/ both our help. She roughly handed 1 of my pets to me and said nothing was wrong. I persisted in my researched diagnosis. She roughly examined them further to the point of blood & my pet being terrified, & crying. She insisted that nothing was wrong, I persisted that their was. She examined them under a light. Finally took hair samples and examined it under the scope and low and behold she found what I was persisting about.
3. Was rough w/ my pets.
4. Not impressed w/ her communication towards me.
5. She almost sent me home w/ sick pets had I not researched before I could not have persisted in their care.
6. Stood waiting quite awhile in line prior to seeing vet w/o being addressed when I walked in the door even w/ an appointment.
7. The place smelled.

We took our pets here for about 5 years. Care in the beginning was standard. As my poodle mix started getting older they treated her for cushing disease which she had but the outcome was not good. She lost a lot of weight and started throwing up so I completely took her off the med. She gained back her weight and seem to do better without the med. Second time around with the same dog. The dog was having a hard time breathing. I was not sure if the dog would make it through the night. had mentioned that maybe putting her down while in the office might be the right thing to do but they said no. Because they did not have any expertise in the area I was told take the dog home and if she did not make it then it was her time to go. The dog made it through the night and the next day I took her to the specialist in OP. My dog has holes in her lungs where the air was escaping into her body cavity. She stayed there and they helped her but unfortunately after bringing her home she relapsed and we had to put her to sleep. After that experience I stopped going there. The office staff is friendly but slow. I found the vet to be very brash when you questioned her. If you love your pet do not go here.

The people that work at Mandarin Vet Clinic are good and have a good attitude. We were happy at the beginning to have found a doctor that cared about customers, but unfortunately we ended up being not very happy at the end. Our cat was diagnosed with sarcoma therefore she had a surgery. Unfortunately her recovery was very slow because the wound did not want to close completely. She was put down 5 times to re-stitch her over and over until finally after more than a month, the decision was made for her to stay at the vet's office for 2 weeks. Well, the wound close but not completely, she still has a 1 inch open wound and when she was taken to the office to have Dr Jones remove her stitches, Dr. Jones decided to pull the collar off and said the cat was done and fine. Our cat had some scab around that was holding the wound close; when Dr Jones removed the collar she licked and took the scab off and now you can see the hole again. We are not happy because you cannot say to a patient you are ready to go when your wound is still open and not completely healed after 2 months now. We decided to take our cat to another doctor.

I recently adopted two inside cats, and needed to get them declawed. The clinic took time to explain the procedures, options, and costs ahead of time. Immediately after the surgery, they called to inform me of the status of the animals. They kept the cats overnight for observation, and provided special litter so clumping clay would not get into the wounds and create complications. The doctor came out and spoke with me personally about the animals when I picked them up.
