I want to be fair. Read through all the reviews and two things become obvious when you do. First, the 5-star clique who goes here are the wealthy local snobs. No mention of cost, which is amazing being they are the most expensive vet in Jacksonville. That's fine because, the Vets are also THE BEST. However, what's become a problem for me, and all the less than 5-star reviews is, the office staff. I don't care about smiles and BS. I care about information. Read these reviews and we're all saying the same thing: NO upfront cost estimate, highest charges possible and worst, MAN! I hated this! Takes your animal and tells you NOTHING about what they are doing. Ties a rope, a noose around their necks and drags them off. Horrifying. I brought my dog in at 7am, first in line, for a semi-emergency. She took the dog, insisted on putting a NOOSE around his neck, which freaked me out terribly! WTF are you doing?! "We have to.". No, you don't. A noose?! Then, "The doctor doesn't come in until 9am". What? Why in the hell am I leaving my dog to stress with you for two hours? Why do you open at 7am when no vets come in until 9am? And like everyone else who is complaining, mandatory blood work ($150), Office visit ($60), a shot ($50)...all the way to $350. WOW! What's wrong with my dog? Anxiety. Nothing else. Now, I need a doctor for the same! COST the most and be the best! That's fine but, you don't charge less when you aren't the best, and this time, you really let me down. Let me clear it up for you because you aren't getting what these people are saying: Being the best means, #1. Giving the sticker shock upfront so people won't write these reviews and hate you from buyer's regret\dealer remorse. #2. Explain what to expect and what you're doing with the pets. Stop putting nooses around the necks of dogs! Someone's going to turn you in for animal cruelty and, that's a legal matter. I saw the photos of the dog in the review and that's what that's from. #3. Stop charging people for unnecessary services. Stop gouging. You do these 1-2-3 and you'll make more money with better than a 3.5 rating on Yelp. Read Less
