The team at Scott Mill are absolutely wonderful. My dog went in to get a cancerous tumor removed. It was discovered that the cancer had spread. Dr. Moore recommended going to a specialist to get an ultrasound. If the cancer didn't spread to the organs, we had a good shot at keeping our buddy around for much longer than expected. Long story short, the ultrasound came back negative, and Dr. Moore removed 2 of Roccos toes, the tumor, and the lymph node that was cancerous. Through the entire process, the team at Scott Mill was nothing less than kind, compassionate, and honest. It was refreshing to find a practice and team that clearly cares more about people and their pets than running up a large bill. I grew up with two toy poodles and we went to see Dr. Sutliff for all of their 15+ year lives. He was always the most patient, kind, and efficient veterinarian. When it came time for the poodles to pass on, I will never forget the kind words offered by Dr. Sutliff.Years later, I am an adult with a miniature poodle of my own. Layla and I have been seeing Dr. Moore for several years and we truly love him. We have known him since he was a tech before veterinary school, so that makes the bond even better. Absolutely my all time favorite veterinarian! Usually I usually hate taking Remi to the vet, but this experience was fantastic. The girls in the front were kind and we were seen immediately. Our vet tech was wonderful and efficient. Dr. Hashey was very kind and thorough. She answered all my questions regarding ticks and fleas in the area since we are new to Jacksonville. On the way out we got recommendations for pet friendly restaurants and beaches. Everyone was beyond friendly and the whole experience was just wonderful. They’ve been my preferred vet through the good times (new rescue) and the bad times (putting pet down). Getting an appointment is very easy and the text message reminders are THE BEST. It’s great that they also offer boarding. And because I own a business next door to them - I can attest to the fact that they do actually have staff that goes in on the weekends to take the boarded animals out for walks and play enrichment games with them. Scott Mill Animal Hospital has taken wonderful care of our dogs for the past 16 years.  They have always provided the highest level of care and service for our dogs.As two dogs have become senior citizens (16 and 14), they have provided guidance and treatment options to keep them healthy, from medications to special formula dog food.Everyone from Gene and Kelly at the front desk, to all the wonderful and caring techs (especially Falisha), and all three veterinarians--they are just the best.  And we also have been very happy with their grooming services.  Our doggies look great after their grooming sessions!Easy to coordinate dropping the dog off for grooming and when picking up, doing the doctor visit at the same time.We especially recommend Dr. Natalie Hashey.  She is extremely thorough and always takes extra time to fully explain treatment options and recommendations.  And she is very kind and gentle with our doggies. I have been bringing my pets here since 2011. Everyone is always friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. I have 3 animals with rare illnesses and the vets have been managing their illnesses quite well. They take a conservative approach to things and are willing to try more conservative approaches rather than jump to the most radical. After 2 vets writing me off telling me I was paranoid and misdiagnosing my dog leading to thousands of dollars on an allergy specialist, skin tests, and meds, Dr. Moore correctly diagnosed my pup. I have been going to Scott Mill Animal Hospital for about a year now with 4 elderly cats and an elderly dog. I have liked them from the get go - but never as much as I do now. We just had to have our sweet 14 year old dog, Bingo, put down last Thursday. These caring people (Dr. Moore and Felicia) came to our house and gently and lovingly put our dog to sleep. Bingo never seemed scared or in pain and she died on her bed, in her home and in our arms. I can not thank them enough for this very kind service. They want me to be informed about my pet's needs and although they were a little hand wavy on the price (ended up $15 more than originally guesstimated by the staff) I felt that I was a respected customer.
