I have lived just down the road from this vet for 25 years. Not sure when they moved there, but I know I passed them up 1000 times before I finally went in. Nowadays I look back at the last 15 times I’ve went to a different vet over the years that was further away and in some cases more expensive, and I want to slap myself!
WHAT WAS I THINKING???
Spread the word about these folks... they don’t have nearly as much business as they deserve. Anyone I’ve ever talked to that has had experience with TAH has said the same thing I have.

some kittens showed up on my doorstep. one died overnight and mom was no where. I came home for lunch to bury the one and take the kittens somewhere so they wouldn't all die. they refused to take them...

I came home for lunch to bury the one and take the kittens somewhere so they wouldn't all die. they refused to take them even temporarily. I'm allergic and have a job to return to. I even said I'd return after work. they refused. what if I decided to keep them til a home could be found, would they have turned me away? they didnt even ask if I was willing to pay to care for them until they are adopted or provide any options at all. I will not be giving them my business and will advise my friends and family to do the same.

Dr. Cox is wonderful. It is a family oriented business and it shows. The staff always answers all my questions, makes me feel welcome, and most importantly treat my dogs needs with the upmost care and sensitivity. They truly care about all aspects of any treatment given and want to provide the best continued care possible. I had to move an hour away and I still would not want to switch. I make the drive because I know both doctors are truly invested. They even pick up on and pin point your dogs demeanor and personality when they feel it has changed. They can do this because they really do know you and your pet. My dogs are like my children. They are my heart. Knowing I have doctors and staff who love them as much as I do, really does make all the difference in the world. Great place!

Dr McKenna was wonderful and literally saved our 12 yr old lab's life. Dixie had pyometra, and that, if not taken care of quickly, can cause many complications including death. Dr McKenna was quick to diagnose Dixie, put her on IV fluids and antibiotics in an attempt to help her be strong enough for emergency surgery the next day. She went above and beyond and even checked on Dixie throughout the night both before and after surgery. Dixie is nearly back to her ok self thanks to Dr McKenna!!! Dixie sends her puppy kisses!!!

This Animal Hospital has no concern for anything that happens outside their little office they have in there. I once called them because I found a crippled dog getting eaten alive by ants because he wasn't able to move, NEAR DEATH, and all they had to say was that they aren't willing to go there. The park is not even a whole mile from their location and they aren't willing to take a solid one minute drive to come save this poor animal from dying. I don't care about how well their "Customer service" or "Care for patients" is. I believe they are the worst humans on planet earth. Never bringing my pets there.

Fantastic vets! I have a rescue dog, Sophie, who has some (ahem) behavioral problems. Mostly with other people and animals. Dr. Cox and the gang are miracle workers and my dog is putty in their capable hands. They are very accommodating to Sophie and her issues. We are always quickly placed into an exam room, and the techs and doctor are in shortly thereafter. I think that their prices may be a teensy bit higher than others around town, but the extra few bucks are well worth not having to stress out whenever Sophie has to see the doc. As long as I am in the area, I will always bring my pet(s) here!

We live here from 2004 to 2007 and brought all 3 of our pet to Dr. Cox. We loved everything about this place. We had a 12 year old Rottie that got real sick and I had to make a choice and they let me stay with my baby (Rottie Harley) as long as I needed even after the office closed to give me the time because they understood my husband was deployed and this was the hardest thing I had to do alone and with my young son with me. Everyone in that office was so caring and even helped me make arrangements so I could have my pet cremated. We got orders to move and and I missed this place so much. Well, We are back here now 2013 this is the only VET office I will ever use. If you want Caring and loving people and your pets to be treated the right way this is where you need to bring them. Dr. COX is AWESOME!!!! We have lost another pet since moved but still have one that sees them now.

My dog loves Drs. Walker and Cox more than a fat kid loves cake. Good thing too 'cause Spenser's had so many bouts with ear infections and colitis, that we've practically got a standing order of antibiotics at Timuquana. Chicken, the cat, loves the vet too but that's not saying much since he whores himself out to everybody anyway. The vet techs are always friendly and helpful, though none of them seem to know how to put a Gentle Leader on a dog. They offer boarding services also which we've only used once. Not that there was anything wrong that one time, but Spenser prefers his boarding facilities to have a swimming pool. My only complaint is that the hospital is not open on the weekend and, if you've ever had a dog with colitis, that is exactly 48 hours too long to go without treatment. Not so much for the dog, but for the owner's sanity and carpets. Also, when Spenser was a wee pup, a vet tech cut his quick during a nail trimming and that was the beginning of a lifelong severe phobia of nail cutting. He's now 100+ lbs and needs to be put under total sedation in order to trim his nails. Thanks, a lot, vet tech.

I came home for lunch to bury the one and take the kittens somewhere so they wouldn't all die. they refused to take them even temporarily. I'm allergic and have a job to return to. I even said I'd return after work. they refused. what if I decided to keep them til a home could be found, would they have turned me away? they didnt even ask if I was willing to pay to care for them until they are adopted or provide any options at all. I will not be giving them my business and will advise my friends and family to do the same.

Dr. Cox is wonderful. It is a family oriented business and it shows. The staff always answers all my questions, makes me feel welcome, and most importantly treat my dogs needs with the upmost care and sensitivity. They truly care about all aspects of any treatment given and want to provide the best continued care possible. I had to move an hour away and I still would not want to switch. I make the drive because I know both doctors are truly invested. They even pick up on and pin point your dogs demeanor and personality when they feel it has changed. They can do this because they really do know you and your pet. My dogs are like my children. They are my heart. Knowing I have doctors and staff who love them as much as I do, really does make all the difference in the world. Great place!

Dr McKenna was wonderful and literally saved our 12 yr old lab's life. Dixie had pyometra, and that, if not taken care of quickly, can cause many complications including death. Dr McKenna was quick to diagnose Dixie, put her on IV fluids and antibiotics in an attempt to help her be strong enough for emergency surgery the next day. She went above and beyond and even checked on Dixie throughout the night both before and after surgery. Dixie is nearly back to her ok self thanks to Dr McKenna!!! Dixie sends her puppy kisses!!!

This Animal Hospital has no concern for anything that happens outside their little office they have in there. I once called them because I found a crippled dog getting eaten alive by ants because he wasn't able to move, NEAR DEATH, and all they had to say was that they aren't willing to go there. The park is not even a whole mile from their location and they aren't willing to take a solid one minute drive to come save this poor animal from dying. I don't care about how well their "Customer service" or "Care for patients" is. I believe they are the worst humans on planet earth. Never bringing my pets there.

Fantastic vets! I have a rescue dog, Sophie, who has some (ahem) behavioral problems. Mostly with other people and animals. Dr. Cox and the gang are miracle workers and my dog is putty in their capable hands. They are very accommodating to Sophie and her issues. We are always quickly placed into an exam room, and the techs and doctor are in shortly thereafter. I think that their prices may be a teensy bit higher than others around town, but the extra few bucks are well worth not having to stress out whenever Sophie has to see the doc. As long as I am in the area, I will always bring my pet(s) here!

We live here from 2004 to 2007 and brought all 3 of our pet to Dr. Cox. We loved everything about this place. We had a 12 year old Rottie that got real sick and I had to make a choice and they let me stay with my baby (Rottie Harley) as long as I needed even after the office closed to give me the time because they understood my husband was deployed and this was the hardest thing I had to do alone and with my young son with me. Everyone in that office was so caring and even helped me make arrangements so I could have my pet cremated. We got orders to move and and I missed this place so much. Well, We are back here now 2013 this is the only VET office I will ever use. If you want Caring and loving people and your pets to be treated the right way this is where you need to bring them. Dr. COX is AWESOME!!!! We have lost another pet since moved but still have one that sees them now.

He called daily to check on her progress and followed up with emails to ensure I understood his directions. And when I told him we would be leaving, he even told me to call anytime with questions. This extremely high level of care was given even though he knew we would never be a regular customer. It doesn't get any better! Thank you Dr. Cox!!

My dog loves Drs. Walker and Cox more than a fat kid loves cake. Good thing too 'cause Spenser's had so many bouts with ear infections and colitis, that we've practically got a standing order of antibiotics at Timuquana. Chicken, the cat, loves the vet too but that's not saying much since he whores himself out to everybody anyway. The vet techs are always friendly and helpful, though none of them seem to know how to put a Gentle Leader on a dog. They offer boarding services also which we've only used once. Not that there was anything wrong that one time, but Spenser prefers his boarding facilities to have a swimming pool. My only complaint is that the hospital is not open on the weekend and, if you've ever had a dog with colitis, that is exactly 48 hours too long to go without treatment. Not so much for the dog, but for the owner's sanity and carpets. Also, when Spenser was a wee pup, a vet tech cut his quick during a nail trimming and that was the beginning of a lifelong severe phobia of nail cutting. He's now 100+ lbs and needs to be put under total sedation in order to trim his nails. Thanks, a lot, vet tech.
