I have been seeing Dr. P and his staff for over 10 years. He has been the most experienced and professional vet I have seen. I trust him till the end. When I had to put my dog down he was the most caring. He gets to know not only your pet but builds a relationship with you. He is very caring. Over the years I have not really like the other vets in his practice, but there is a new Dr. there names Dr. Rosenberg. He is very good too. I wouldn't ever hesitate to see Dr. Pullon. I love this place . I feel very at ease with Dr P , i was recommended to him by a friend who had him for yrs. I went for a second opinion and thought my dog was going to die. After the surgery my dog it turned out was fine. Thank God I found someone who is genuinely concerned for animals and not just the $$$$$. I trust him completely. Also he is the only one now who can touch my dogs feet , thanks to a groomer who cut his nail badly. My dog was never scared until that happened he is 12 yrs old. Brought my elderly dog into to Dr. Graham; she reminded me that I had not been able to afford an xray to confirm the overwhelming evidence of my dogs heart murmur and refused to help guide me in the right direction, if I wouldn't spend $500 plus (I had been taking my dog here to the tune of $700 plus per year for 3 years).  She was uncompassionate to the situation toward my dog and myself and I will be bringing my dog and my credit card elsewhere.  There prices are also slightly higher than most places, especially in Hobe Sound and the services and staff are not exceptional. If you are lucky enough to deal with Dr Poullin directly you are fine, unfortunately you have to get through the very sweet but COMPLETELY incompetent front desk staff first. I joined this practice when Dr. Ely was there and explained what I was looking for in a vet. Loved him. He left and I was never notified of his departure. My dogs "dermitiis" was removed from her leg to the tune of $900 as it turned out completely unnecessary I later took her in for a broken dew claw and the interim vet clipped it without any medication, blood spurted everywhere and my dog screamed in pain. then I was charged $157 for antibiotics and medications for her error.... They are completely inflexible with requiring routine testing before dispensing heart worm, flea meds, etc. They need to change the name of "village" veterinary!! When asked to speak with a vet I was told by Rachel she didn't know if a vet would call me back she would speak to her office manager. Imagine. My beautiful Australian Shepherd died last week due to a massive liver tumor. If Dr. Pullen had done an x ray or ultrasound last fall when I brought her to him he might have detected it when something could have been done about it. Thank heavens the good people at the Holistic Veterinary Center helped me to have five weeks of quality time with my baby after she collapsed in March after the tumor had become inoperable. I had described classic signs of a tumor when I brought her in last fall and pushed for testing for Cushings, asked about a tumor and requested a complete workup. She even had elevated liver enzymes. Decide what you will but I am mourning a beautiful dog who was cut down before her time due to lack of diagnostic concern. Dr. Pullen's answer: "Well, Monday morning quarterbacking and there's a fine line between doing enough and too much.' I didn't bring my dog in to save money. I brought my dog to save her life. Next time, offer the client the option and he or she can decide whether to do it. I sure would have gone for that ultrasound. My beautiful dog died a painful death years before her time.Read Less

8lb bag of dog food was out of stock on shelf requiring special order being placed, paid for and then not delivered on delivery day a week later. I had to follow up with them (rather than the other way around) just to find out it didn't come in and it will be another week (next Tuesday, AFTER the holidays). Had I known this earlier I could have looked elsewhere to get my pet his food. Disappointed in customer service. Read Less

My mother and I have been clients of Village Veterinary for close to 20 years!  We started seeing Dr. Pullon when his practice use to be down the street from it's current location.  He took care of all six of our schnauzers from 8 week old puppies until they crossed the rainbow bridge one at a time.  We primarily see Dr. Ely now for our pit mix and our great dane.  Both, Dr. Pullon and Dr. Ely are exceptional vets; from routine care of yearly shots and blood work to complex medical issues.  The compassion and the care are top notch.  The thing I like the most about Dr. Ely is that he speaks with you... not at you.  He makes you part of your dogs treatment team and gives you all the best options available.  He has gone above and beyond to care for my great dane, Phineas, and there isn't a shadow of doubt in my mind that he cares for my boy as if he was his own.  The lack of giant breed care in South Florida is quite pronounced.  They often require a bit more knowledge / specialized care in addition to preventative surgical care (gastropexy).  I have recommended Dr. Ely to many friends with danes and those that have seem him for visits / surgery have been extremely pleased in the care he has given their danes too.  I honestly could not say enough nice things about Dr. Ely.  He returns our calls, answers our emails and always finds a way to see us when we need him.  I truly appreciate his approach of doing the least, to achieve the most results.  Our dane has put Dr. Ely through his paces with everything from allergies, injury and potential endocrine issues.  He always rise to the challenge, helps us find a solution and does so with great care of not just our dog, but us.  The office staff is exceptional.  They are polite and quite helpful.  They even file my dogs health insurance claims for me without even being asked.  They keep his claim form on file and just send the form in after each visit.  The office manager, Carmen, is just the best!  I just couldn't imagine going to another vets office.  Dr. Ely and Dr. Pullon are wonderful and as long as we have animals, they will be our veterinarian choice.  We only want the best for our dogs, and with Village Vet, they get the best. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Do NOT GO HERE. I went in July of last year to change vets from Boca (I live in Jupiter) Dr. Graham was nice and knowledgable as was the staff. We discussed my dog was older and needed annual blood work. I left happy that I found a good vet and had my old vet transfer the records to Village. I made an appointment in January of this year for my dogs annual exam. He got his shots that were due in early Feburary, at least I thought. When I got the bill I noticed the blood work that was done every year prior and had been previously discussed hadn't been done. I talked to the vet and we agreed it could wait until next year. Imagine my surprise to learn in MARCH that the RABIES hadn't been done. You know the vaccine that is REQUIRED by the state. When I called, the receptionist was nice but the office manager said "I don't know what you want me to say".  How about SORRY?!?!!?!? NEVER GO HERE Read Less

I have been coming here with my chihuahua for 16 years and brought her in for last days. The following year I been bringing in my bulldog and they have always been a great help! I changed my rating for the fact that I called about my bulldog having a swollen eye for the past 3 days (it was the weekend). What upset me was that I was told there was only 1 emergency slot open and wasn't sure if she could give it to him unless checked by doctor?!?!?!?! After making an appointment elsewhere who agreed to take him even with a booked day I get a call back from here. I'm sorry but if a swollen eye and not being able to see isn't an emergency to you then I don't want to bring my dog to people who care more about money than animals. I just moved to the Jupiter/Tequesta area and am extremely happy to have found Village Veterinary. The staff is professional and courteous... and, even though I do not have a "standing history" with them, they accommodate my Yorkie's "emergencies"... Dr. Pullon is kind and caring, handling both myself and my 16 year old puppy with care and compassion. After this last visit, when I opened the medication bottle, I found they halved ALL the pills.
