I live in Arcadia.  After trying all the veterinarians in town and being dissatisfied I asked my groomer who was good and she recommended Dr. Hall at SW Florida Veterinary.  I took my dog (Cody) there.  Dr. Hall was very thorough and suggested surgery, which I approved.  They did the procedure and cleaned his teeth while he was working on Cody.  What is most important is that Cody liked the place and the doctor.  The office was very clean and all of the assistants were very helpful and friendly. The entire staff at Southwest Florida Veterinary Service are warm, charming and caring real people! I have observed other people's experiences in the waiting room and there is a consistent professionalism and attention to those of us who have animal issues. Very happy with all the service I get there. I love Dr. Hall he's very patient answers all questions I never feel rushed when my dog was sick and I needed reassurance and had many questions. Absolutely love the girls at the front desk Amber has become like family she is amazing - such patience she's had with me when I've called with a sick dog advice on food and help me out with ordering and getting prescriptions filled. Also, Bianca is excellent I just have had more interaction with Amber but both are very good at what they do. I also use the groomer there Diana she is very gentle also answers any questions so reasonable and her pricing. Dr Hall and his staff have been caring for my dog since birth.  They always have time to answer owner questions.  The most telling experience that we had was when the staff members got down on the floor of the lobby to get acquainted with our dog.  We've always been seen on time and dealt with very quickly on a walk-in basis.  No issues, ever, with the care of our animals.  We always get the impression that Dr Hall and his staff really care about giving each animal the care it deserves. The folks at Southwest Veterinary Services are people who actually care about the patients (the Animals). They even like people too. Seriously being a person who presently cares ( I hate to say own) for over 100 animals, I have had my share of different Vets around the USA. Some Good some not so Good. I really cannot find one negative thing about SWFVS. They always get Friday and Cookie in to board even when we ask them at the last minute, were talking like the day before, and never without a smile. The Doctoring is top notch as good or better then any we have used in the past. Good customer service and true caring are a rarity these days which I know you all can agree, so SWFVS is a breath of fresh air in a dying service industry. I have personally witnessed them sharing tears over a customer doing that hard thing and saving their family member from suffering, or everyone getting excited and genuinely happy when they here that your lost dog has been found. This is what separates the wheat from the chaff. If I could make one suggestion to them is instead of that big bowl of candy, offer free fresh baked chocolate chip cookies to your customers. If you are going to make us feel like family the way you do, be like a Grandma bake some cookies ;0) Read Less

When it was time to put my beloved therapy dog down, Dr Hall, who I had not previously known, responded to my request to perform the euthanasia at my home. The experience, though extremely sad, as any pet lover knows, was compassionate. I decided then, I would use him for my next pet. I have met him and his staff again recently with my new puppy, and I am pleased with their promptness, kindness, and knowledge. lui was just groomed for the first time, and he looks great. Dr. Hall and staff are amazing. They provide excellent care for our two dogs. When our puppy was injured, I was able to get him seen early the following morning and was in and out so quickly. If you have a puppy, they have a package deal available, making it so affordable. They love our babies like we do. When our older dog was ready to cross the Rainbow Bridge, the staff there was with us the whole time. Their care and compassion makes you realize that they take this as more than just a "job". Everyone at this office has always been very kind to our 2 girls Friday and Cookie, and before Sugarbear got hit by a car they cared for her too. You can tell dealing with this staff that genuinely love animals, its something you can't fake, because even the dogs can sense it. We board with them from time to time and though I have not seen where they keep them I can tell when I pick them up that they have been treated well. Unlike other place I have used our dogs would get out and be sick with stomach problems from stress or look thin from not eating. Our dogs come out everytime looking healthy, happy and of course ready to go. I am not sure what happened with the previous commentator or the situation but I am sorry to hear of there loss, but in the 4.5 years we have used them I have never once seen them do anything with our animals that was questionable or unprofessional and we have used different vets across the country, all of them top rated and these folks not only hold up to them but surpass them in some areas. Please stay away from here, this Dr. overdosed my 28lb dog on DepoMedrol during the beginning of chemotherapy and she died.  Three vets have confirmed that it was the drug that led to her untimely death, chemo would have given her a year or more, but he gave her 110mg of the long acting steroid within a week and the complications killed her, mind you that is a dosage for a large animal not a 28lb dog, contraindicated during chemo.  Please stay away if you love your pet, I can't tell you the anguish I am going through right now, my other dog is so lonely,  it has been three weeks I can't sleep.  The horror of how she died in 9 days haunts me every day, I see her little face getting sicker and sicker.   This man needs to have his license suspended!  He needs to go back to school!
