We arrived in Florida with both a cat and a dog who needed to see the vet. A friend recommended this vet. The everyday vet was out of town but the vet on duty was wonderful. Staff was friendly. We had a wonderful experience, our 14 year old shiz tzu has had terrible skin allergies since moving to florida. We took him to two different Vets, about 12 hundred dollars later he still had the sores all over him and was scratching himself bloody. We took him to Dr Rachel in three weeks he was just about completely cured. The cost was minimal compared to the previous Vet, I'm hooked for the life of my pets. Terrific service. Read Less

My cat Chubs was very sick so I brought him to Privileged Critters, unfortunately my fur baby needed to go to heaven :-( the staff here was so wonderful!! You can tell they really care about the animals. To make it even better they sent me a hand made card with a written note in it to tell me how sorry they were about the loss of my fur baby! So they actually took the time to add their own care into it! I will definitely be taking my other cats there and recommend them to anyone in need of a good vet!!! I didn't even have to go to this place to see that they don't care about what they do. I talked to just the receptionist, and I explained to her about my puppy who is throwing up and I've taken her everywhere and she could die and I was calling everywhere, and the first thing she said was "well we don't have any open appointments today" I really wish there was a place that took animals and helped them because they are sick and dying and need help, not because you don't have an appointment open. My puppy is sick and could die, I don't care about your "non avalilible appointments" so upset!! Read Less

I will not use again.  I used this vet for 3 years before having an issue with a new puppy.  I was in shock with the lack of compassion and unproffesionalism that was used during this time.  I also found it unprofessional that at the time I tried to cancel my appointment that I was told that the office went out of their way to offer me a service and they would be stuck paying the bill even tho I tried to cancel 10 days in advance....sure wish I had went with my gut instincts as I know people cancel on the day of their appointments all the time....this experience left me with the feeling that this office is a business to make money and no care for my pets. I recently called in about my dog that was pregnant. I noticed she was having a hard time giving birth and would need a C section. So I called and got the price for a C Section.... then I asked if payment were available seeing how this dog with out surgery could die. The lady at the front desk told me no way in a very rude tone. It broke my heart...I understand not doing payments. But her tone is what really made me feel awful. Responding to her tone I asked if she could answer me a question. I then said it's against the law as a pet owner to let your dog suffer right? But yet when I try to get her help I was turned away as if I was unworthy of even being spoken to once I asked about payments? I wish there was a law that in emergency cases payment are expected. She said nope! I then said that's unfair ...her reply.. Well sorry that's just the way it is. My heart was broken and I said out of anger maybe if I called animal control they could help me or maybe bay news 9 could help me bring this unfair injustice to light. Then she said what ever and hung the phone up on me. I loved Privileged Critters and have always enjoyed their stuff...but this one woman is hard to like because of her uncaring tone and personality. Last Monday, 10-12-15, I took my kitten to Privileged Critters. She was 8 months old and had breathing problems. They took her in immediately and took an X-Ray within 20 minutes. Then sent us to an animal hospital. She did pass away that day because she has fluid in her lungs and had a 1 out of 10 chance of living. But this place was so incredible with my Gracie. It was awful I brought my little bear in sick they ran tests on him said it was a stomach virus sent me home with antibiotics and he died the next morning, then my snow and tiny boy got sick a couple days later took snow in said ot was a stomach virus and tiny died a couple days later tool snowy boy and taco in monday to cleveland hights animal hospital they immediately done blood work what privliged critters should of done, turns out it wasnt a stomach bug it was poision and because of how long it had been in there system I had to put them down. 4 dogs dead 1,000 dollars in debt and All of this could of been avoided if privliged critters had done there job, very unprofessional and would never recomend them to any one Read Less

The prices are reasonable and I am usually able to schedule a convenient time for appointments. Privileged Critters understands that many people are on a budget and they don't push more expensive medications on their clients (I had run into this issue at another vet before I discovered Privileged Critters). I'm so impressed with the service I received here yesterday! Everyone is so patient and friendly and I feel that they are all professionals and very capable! I was very surprised by how reasonable the prices are. I took my two cats in for routine checkups, and they made sure to answer all of my questions. After a horrific experience with another vet I found this one. Just love the place. Expecting to pay $200 to $400 as I have in the past, I was delighted to get a bill of only $71 and of that total - $26 was medicine. WOW what a deal. The care was excellent and not excessive. They didn't ask to test for everything in the world and run up the bill like a lot of other Lakeland Vets do. A very professional and caring doctor. Will be making this our Vet for all our pets now and in the future. And I don't have to worry about getting a price before I walk in the door!!
