I used to love this vet...I've been coming here for years and spent thousands on my fur babies. The last time my cat had an emergency they couldn't get us in so I had to go elsewhere. Ok, sometimes things can't be helped. Today, I tried to get my dog a kennel cough vaccine and they said they were only taking vaccine appts 3 wks out. I stopped by to ask for my dog's records so that I could get the vaccine elsewhere, as we needed it sooner, and Dianne at the desk said she would just print up the records for all of my animals and mark my account as inactive since I was going somewhere else. I took my beautiful German Shepherd puppy into you guys a two weeks ago with concerns about her passing blood in her stool. She has since passed away and with a heavy heart I'm writing this letter in hopes that you may be better with other dog parents. You diagnosed her with hookworm, I'm not saying the diagnoses was wrong. However, you did not warn us that this could cause death. You didn't not give us directions and ways to take of this if it got worse, you did not prepare us for any of the what if's after. This is why I'm writing this letter. Not because I blame you in her death not because I think your diagnosis is wrong. But because you did not prepare me for the what if she didn't get better. You simply said feed her this food to help heal her stomach give her this pill and she will improve. She didn't make it to her second week of medication. She was doing well she was improving but still have blood in her stool we assumed it was calming down. She had good days and bad we thought she was recovering I brought my extremely weak dying dog to another vet who was open not being able to afford the cost of an emergency vet and he told us she was going to pass telling us to go home make her comfortable. I want you to tell other pet owners the possible complications so they will not have to cry while holding the lifeless pet in their arms. I wish you had prepared me for the possibilities, I wish you told me the dangers of it. I wish you checked her out better, I wish you didn’t just send me on my way. When I stressed the concern of her bleeding. I wish you warned me about the dehydration and the anemia. I had to watch my dog die. I wish I didn’t have to go through that. And I want you to start being better with other animal owners weather it’s a snake, cat, dog, bunny, or what ever else you may see in there so they don’t have to go through the same thing. My animals have been patients here for several months now. The doctors themselves are wonderful, however the front office staff is horrible. I called about an ear infection in my dog and was told the next available appointment was the next Monday (6 days away!) What kind of pet parent would I be to let an infection sit for 6 more days??? Would we let that happen in humans? I don't think so. I don't intend on returning even though I loved the doctors. I called my old vet and they saw my dog the very next morning. Great veterinarians but the front desk staff is horrible. If you have an emergency as an established patient you can't get in and they want you to wait two days. My dog has been seen many times In last two years. If it's not scheduled appointment they don't want to talk to you. If the actual Vet's knew how poorly they treated people. That's the down fall of this vet. You can't get past the office staff. My dog has a fever breathing heavily and shaking his head. He's 6 pounds and can't wait two days If you love your animal you might want to find a vet that will work with emergencies. Not this extremely rude staff. I have told the vet about how poor the experience out front was. I guess they don't care about the well being of animals to make a very sick dog that weighs only 6 pounds wait two days. I cancelled my annual Appointment I had scheduled for this month I'm finding a vet that cares enough about the animals. As I said. The Vet's are great. You can't get past the RUDE front desk people. My dog had something stuck in her throat. I showed up with my dog my pink skip to my car my check book my check stubs. Nope wouldn't help us. My dog died because of money. This is not a caring vets office they are only interested in money, cash money in hand. I don't qualify for care credit and that was the only option they gave me other than paying cash right then and there. They pander to the rich. Horrible place, not a caring soul in the office. The vet looked at me and said "we can't help you" . Not even an I'm sorry. So because I'm low income they looked down on me and how willing I was to help my dog, who was my baby. Read Less

These are the best, most caring group of people that I have be fortunate enough to meet. They honestly do care about your fur baby like they are their own family. The circumstances in which I came to this animal hospital were very unfortunate, my little dog Tigger was hit by car. However, Erin (who works here) was behind the lady that hit him and took care of Tigger until I was able to get to him, and graciously took care of me when I did not have my wit's about me. I followed her to the Animal Hospital, pulling over several times because Tigger kept having seizures. She pulled over each time and helped both of us. Upon arrival the staff and vet, Dr. Joe Brooks were ready and immediately jumped into action to take care of him. They stopped the seizures, took care of him and calmed him down. Dr. Brooks came to see me as soon as he was able and let me know that we just had to wait (and pray) to know the the extent of his brain damage. He stayed there for another 4 days, with us visiting each day. Each time I came Dr. Cameron Brooks and the staff always made time to talk to me and let me know his progress. Everyone was always friendly and helpful , the area was always clean and all animals were attended to. On the 4th day Tigger was able to eat and drink, Dr. Brooks called me with the WONDERFUL news and since Christmas was only a few days away and she felt he would heal better at home, he was able to come home to us and is still recovering, but is amazing, he regained his sight and is thriving. If it were not for Erin being there and being so quick and thoughtful, and this entire caring group of people, I would not have Tigger today. I will go no where else ever again for any of my fur families medical needs. I know that the staff and vets here will treat any animal with the utmost care and I fully trust their ability. Read Less

I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Brooks for over 24 years.  We have followed him from his previous location to the current one even though its over 20 miles.  He and his staff have always been wonderful to our dogs.  They are compassionate and loving to each animal that comes through the doors.  I couldn't recommend a better vet for anyone looking for a professional and knowledgeable veterinary hospital. I can't compliment the staff enough. They're incredible. They took great care of my dog when she was in pain, and because of their great care, my little monkey is doing great! They explained everything to me in detail and made sure I understood the prescribed treatment. The on site lab, X-ray and pharmacy made the visit fast, and it was less than the amount quoted. Stop reading reviews and bring your pet to this clinic! I can't say enough good things about this clinic and the staff. I have an older Brussels Griffon who was showing signs of discomfort and they were closed when I decided to start looking for a vet. (I'm new to the area and hadn't picked one yet.) My message was returned before 8AM the next morning, and they got me in by 9 AM. The on site lab, pharmacy and X-ray made my visit seamless. The staff is incredible, and they cared for my dog the way I would expect someone to care for a family member. I'm happy to say my old girl is doing fine after the incredible care she received here. I have another dog who I am absolutely bringing in for his annual checkups, and anything else he might need. It's a relief to say I've found a Veterinarian for my fur babies. I've had my dogs for 9 years, and wish I had started taking them here 9 years ago. I've taken my pets to some good clinics in the past, but this clinic really set the standard for veterinary care. We were not clients because we just moved here a couple of months ago from Illinois. Our dear Miller had a debilitating stroke last Monday night and they accepted him to be euthanized Tuesday morning. I asked for an explanation and the girl at the first desk blew us off and got an attitude; then I asked to speak to a manger or the owner (Roy Brooks) but no one wanted to be troubled to come speak to a customer that has spent thousands of dollars there. I never even got a call back from anyone at the office after I left there. There are tons of vets in the area and I can guarantee you there are better, more ethical ones than them. Our family has used Dr. Brooks for many years, long before this office opened, and trust him completely. We had the opportunity to work with Dr. Saladino when our dog, Bijoux,became ill unexpectedly. Together we had to make some tough decisions about his illness and eventually end of life care. The end of life care was one of the hardest decisions we ever had to make. I could feel Dr. Saladino's pain and the  pain in the hearts of the office staff during this time. They were a great support and performed this task respectful, kind, dignified and loving to our dog and ourselves. Knowing it was the right choice did not make it an easy one, but everyone supported us. I was beside myself when our dog stopped walking. I took her to her regular vet who gave her a brief once over and told me it was arthritis or cancer. If she didn't respond to the medicine we were given (which she didn't), that meant cancer. I was a complete mess as I stumbled in with a 40lb dog in my arms and toddler in tow to get a second opinion. The entire staff was kind and calming. Dr. Sabshin did a thorough exam and came to a completely different diagnosis...one that actually fit her symptoms and made sense of pieces of our dog's history. I walked in expecting to be told it was the end for our 4 legged family member but walked out with hope and test results showing she was doing far better than the previous vet led us to believe.
