I have used this vet for 16 years and always boarded my pets there. We have only seen Dr Farr, but he isn't there as much as he used to be so we have seen the female vet. We went on vacation for a few days and left our boys there. I picked them up about 45 mins ago and one of them has a swollen thigh and a red mark the size of a1/2 dollar. When i asked what happened, the girl that bathed them said idk, I saw that too. okay, So what happened?! It wasn't documented and... it wasn't told to the vet either. No one had any idea what happened or when it happened. The vet said it's a "hot spot" and charged me another 50 dollars for meds. He NEVER had a "hot spot" before, even when he was rescued from the humane society. The tech was horrible, cocky and rude so much so, I told her to leave the room. She would smirk and roll her eyes... After all this the vet says, he's due for his teeth cleaning LMAO are you serious?! $$$$$$ is all they were looking for. Didn't care about the boys. Do NOT go to this animal hospital! They have the worst customer service and the vet is not concerned for your pet. Took my 3 month old puppy in for her ears and the vet was so sure of herself that she was bitten and didn't examine her ears! 30 minutes later we took her to a different hospital and she had a severe yeast infection in both ears! When I called them back asking for a refund they didn't even care what I had to say. Anyone I have spoken to about this hospital says they have had numerous problems with them in the past to. I have been taking my dogs here since 2014 or so, and I can definitely say they've always done their best to make sure my animals are taken care of. They are the kindest people in the office, even when outsiders aren't being so nice to them. We have even had dogs pass, and they were very sympathetic. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT BRING YOUR BABIES HERE. They Misdiagnosed my cat with a UTI.... My cat has history of bladder stones which they are aware of and I reminded them of many times. They took her licking and frequent peeing in odd places as just being a UTI and all they seemed to care about was her getting her $200 yearly vaccinations.... Her urinalysis showed no bacteria in the urine mind you, but was EXTREMELY high in blood and protein, but that was blatantly ignored. She was given an antibiotic and sent home (after an ultrasound used to look in the bladder supposedly had no obvious signs of stones to them.... Did they even look for stones while they were there???? I have no idea anymore.) After taking her to Animal Health Center of Land O Lakes she was diagnosed with SEVERAL stones, filling her entire tiny bladder and up into her urethra and now has had surgery that, if put off any longer, could have killed my poor baby. This is the second animal I have brought to them that has been misdiagnosed and I can't believe they would ignore the results they were given and assume everything was normal, without taking an x-Ray at the least which is most diagnostic for stones, especially knowing her history and the severity of having stones. I am so incredibly disappointed this was allowed to happen and will not be taking my cat here ever again. Read Less

We went to this place for awhile because we were new cat owners and didn't know better. But this summer one of our cats came down with a UTI and they only changed her food. She wasn't getting better, so we called them and they just wanted to change her food again. Friends encouraged us to get a second opinion. Went to Animal Health Center of Land O Lakes (wonderful place) and they found she was loaded with bacteria and needed an antibiotic. Put her back on her regular food and she was fine. So we brought our other two in to be checked (they just had full physicals a month earlier) and one of ours needed a major teeth cleaning and ended up having to have a cracked tooth pulled. It turns out that the tooth was causing her INTENSE pain (registered off the scale when they tested it when she was under). She is doing so much better now. We asked Land O Lakes Animal Hospital specifically about her teeth and they said she was fine. Animal Health Center said this had to be going on for awhile --maybe her in pain for even a year.!!! That breaks a pet owners heart to find out they kept their animal in pain for that long. Don't go here because we went through twice now that was caught were this vet did not diagnosis our animals correctly and thereby leaving them in pain longer than need.Read Less

Wow, extreme over pricing,  they love to nickel and dime their customers and give their vet techs too much authority to preform procedures  and administer drugs/ medicine. One dog had a bill of over $700 and another over $540 bill just for a regular check up and vaccinations...outrageous!! Will never go there or recommend!! Went here for my pup(rottie) first set of shots and check up and I have to say I wasn't impressed.  Should have walked out after my encounter with the receptionist.  She wasn't friendly and when we asked her questions,  she wasn't that helpful.  Nevertheless we were there and decided  to see the veterinarian. Things really went bad when they were trying to give him his shots and microchip, my husband had to take control of my dog and the doctor had fear in his eyes.  He even mentioned that he had a fear of large dogs...well all I have to say, is you're  in the wrong  profession and I'm definitely  choosing  another vet. I am overly protective and some would say dramatic about my 3 dogs. We boarded them here and when asked at check in if there was somebody there 24hrs to monitor the place and dogs they said no, which made me anxious all weekend. That was not my main problem. We were told they would be bathed, nails clipped, ears cleaned before going home for a $19 fee per dog. When picking them up they all stunk and 2 were barely damp like they had just been sprayed with a water bottle. When mentioning this to the receptionist she just looked at us and did not acknowledge what we said not saying a word. One of our dogs had poop still stuck to his butt and crusty brown eyes and face, being dirtier than when we had dropped been off. Not happy and quite frankly they are stealing charging a service and not providing it properly. Read Less

These guys are awesome. My dog has been in awesome care since visiting there. My dog needed an amputation and they took care of it professionally and I swear the staff cares about my dog as much as I do!! My dog loves visiting there and they are wonderful. Fees are reasonable also.Read Less

Dr. Brooks is WONDERFUL with my animals. He is compassionate and always willing to take the extra time to speak with me. He always answers all of my questions and makes me and my pets feel at ease.  I will only take my pets here and would highly recommend others to do the same.
