staff was very nice and seemed knowledgeable. not sure about tonys experience. I could guess that maybe his pet was really sick and he waited too long to take it to the vet. I have to wonder why he would come from tampa to clearwater to have his pet looked at though? a quick search shows 331 animal hospitals in tampa and the drive to clearwater in traffic had to be close to an hour. as for margot s, wow, I could only suggest that in the future, she asks for a copy of her pets health records to keep. if the pet has a 4-5 year behavior problem, either she is doing something wrong or the pet should be put in a safe place far away from margot.   as for free exams and the cost, yes, its expensive. you can buy pet health insurance.  so it costs a few hundred dollars. maybe more. last time I was in the hospital it was 5 grand a day.   pick your battles. get rid of the pet if you cant or don't want to pay for its health care. you would both be happier.did I mention that google and facebook are horrible socal media venues to solicit actual truthful and legitimate critiques on services rendered. now I and my pet are in some database and that is wrong. I only put up with this crap to give a true assessment of services rendered. Read Less

Doc was nice and listened to what I had to say about my pet rat. I was told one price over the phone for what I was bringing my pet in for, but the quote I got was substantially hundreds more, so as I do not have much money this vet is out of my price range. They did offer me a free new client pet exam, which was awesome because it saved me $47 dollars. All in all its a nice place to bring your pets. Read Less

I waited a few weeks to write my review because I don't like to react out of anger. But I also think that people should be forewarned when making a decision related to the care of a pet they love. My mistake was choosing East Bay Animal Hospital because they offered a "free first visit". Well, don't be fooled like I was. $300 later, my pet was worse off and hurting from their testing. Then the vet, Robin Moore, left town and was not available to treat her. I understand that life happens and the vet had her own family issues to attend to, but in her absence, the staff, especially the co-owner/manager Terry, just didn't care and wasted days of my and my pet's time while my pet suffered from their tests. They didn't even offer legit referrals for another available vet. Luckily I found one on my own and my pet is on the mend now. I get that it is a business and money comes first, but they didn't hide that fact and made it clear they don't care about my pet's suffering or wasting my time or money. Read Less

Always a friendly welcome. Always a prompt and informative reply. Always compassionate and quality care. My dog is treated with kindness and love. I am offered options when care is what some may consider "out of budget". The facility is clean, offers extended hours and open weekends. The staff is well educated, knowledgable of local emergency care as well as mobile care for services they do not provide and they are not afraid to share this with their clients. I feel good taking my pets here and have for many years because I believe they truly have a love for our babies. Read Less

Warning: DO NOT USE THIS VET (ROBIN MOORE). The following is only one issue in a much larger behavior pattern I experienced over 4-5 years. Yes, it took me that long to switch vets because my dog seemed to like them and because they made it extremely  difficult to get his records. I don't even want to go into how wrong this place is in so many ways. I will tell you the worst of many bad encounters. They pulled 22 of my small dog's teeth WITHOUT TELLING ME. I knew he was having a cleaning and having 3 pulled. I have a cell phone, there were no missed calls (they never even claimed to have called me). They never apologized, they never made excuses, they just did not think I needed to be informed. It's not even that it tripled the price that bothers me the most. It's that they did a MAJOR medical procedure and change to my dog's appearance without consent. I even called an attorney who said I have a really solid case. However, I decided not to pursue it, but everyone should know what they did. I have about 3 more stories that are not as shocking, but are definite testaments to the lack of ethics, empathy, and common sense at this place. I'm not going to rant on anymore at this time though. It's taken me 2 years to get around to finishing this review, as this happened several years ago but I've been too upset to ever finish it until now: I didn't want to say anything in anger.   I firmly believe some vet association should review this operation. There should be some oversight here. Read Less

Dr. Robin Moore and her staff are excellent.  If you are looking for an extremely knowledgeable, highly educated veterinarian who is experienced and caring, Dr. Moore is it.She carefully explains procedures, prognoses, diagnoses and tests.  She takes the time to answer calls, offers Saturday and evening hours, does not pressure clients to do more than they are comfortable with and provides a lot of support when owners have to make the hard decision to euthanize.  We had to put our elderly cat down in 2010 and later had the misfortune of needing to do the same thing with our dog this year.  I can honestly say that putting my kitty to sleep under Dr. Moore's care was the better experience.  Dr. Moore has a comfortable and quiet private room where we could cry and spend time with our cat; she and her staff took care of every detail in the most loving and compassionate manner.  (When we had to put our dog to sleep, we had the misfortune of needing to do it after hours at the emergency vet and it was horrible; the experience made the entire situation much worse.)  Dr. Moore not only sent us a card, she included bereavement information and later invited us to an informal remembrance ceremony that she holds for owners of pets who have died that year. I found the attention and care taken very comforting. The front office staff are excellent, Ellen and Lynn are professional and friendly and office manager Terry is kind and always has a smile.  The two techs in the back office and also very nice and quite knowledgeable.Pet care can be costly but Dr. Moore always offers estimates and has no issue writing prescriptions when they can be filled at regular pharmacies.  East Bay Animal Hospital also offers grooming and boarding for cats and dogs in large clean separate areas.Parking is pretty good, unless it's been raining and the parking lot floods, so wear your galoshes on those days.I know that my dear babies are in good hands at EBAH and I highly recommend Dr Moore, her staff and their services.
