So far so good. I called to have my Cajun fixed and they didn't have anything available for a while. I asked if they would call me if they get a cancellation. Jessica called me back the same day because someone cancelled. I received a reminder call the day before. When I brought her in I was asked if I wanted to pay an extra $20 for an IV in case of an emergency. I said no and there was no guilt trip. I can be pretty assertive though. I went to a room and spoke with the docto...r and he let me know she had an infection, which I already knew or rather thought it was an allergy due to her sensitive skin. i purchased the meds (antibiotic), then he let me know she had hookworms but I felt their treatment was a little expensive and I would check my options before making the purchase. There was zero pressure and zero guilt trips. Again I am assertive and know its my right to refuse. Cajun is doing well so far. Today is her 1st day recovering from surgery done yesterday. They gave me her paperwork, rabies tag and a paper with a list to call if any problems. I've read the other reviews both good and bad. I have to be honest, the experience was very pleasant. I would have given 5 stars but I would have liked to see Cajun before paying the bill but she is a big baby (Cane Corso @ 9 months weighing in at 60 lbs). A bit pricey (over $1000) for two hours of testing on our cat. They squeezed us in on Christmas eve. Much appreciated. Cat was throwing up blood, but tests revealed nothing. Gave us antibiotics in case of infection. Good people that understand why we cry over our pets. Very caring and honest in their decision making. Read Less

I'm not the type of person that gives reviews, but I'm so grateful for the help my puppy received that I decided to do it. My dog was having problems for months and my previous veterinarian couldn't get to the diagnosis to treat my dog. Been frustrated came to the Animal Medical Center recommended by a friend. I'm so glad I made the change, the place is clean, the staff is friendly and most important the Doctor knows what he is doing. Dr. Erick was very knowledgeable, he performed a few tests and got the diagnosis, treated my puppy and know he is comfortable again. I highly recommend this place!!! Read Less

They have owed me a refund for my appointment for 4 months now but still no refund, the AMC filled out the wrong paperwork for my dog's travel document to Sweden,could had ended badly. I switched both my dogs from Coral Springs Animal Center to this office about a year and a half ago. My 11 year old Yorkie has had allergies all his life and after trying to treat him with steroids and shots and still getting nowhere, we came here. Dr. Z started him on Apoquel and topical meds, along with frequent bathing, and his allergies are finally under control. I have always found the staff to be courteous and extremely patient, and I am in this office every 3-4 weeks, and my dog is probably their least cooperative patient, so I'm probably seeing them at their best and worst. Prices are in line with any other quality vet and hospital. This office isn't close to my home, but it's worth the drive to know my dogs are getting the best care. Disorganization, overbooking, and rude staff are just a few reasons to take your pet somewhere else. Even with a scheduled appointment, expect to wait at least another 30 minutes to drop off/pick up your pet. I'll also disclose the fact that the groomer cut one of my dog's toes off (a vestigial one, at least). They did cover the stitches, antibiotics, and Elizabethan cone at zero cost to me. But when I took him back to get the stitches removed, I'm pretty sure he had been drugged - he was falling over when I picked him up. I have used Animal Medical Center as my vet for over four years. With a 21 year old cat, a diabetic cat an two other cats, 1 just over a kitten, I have received nothing but excellent medical advice from the doctors, great service from the reception and nursing staff, and they always supply me with a written estimate before services are performed. I am very disappointed with this animal hospital. My cat died. I took him to have him cremated . I signed in and filled out the paper work. Then I sat in the lobby with my dead cat for about 20 minutes before they took him. I was never offered to be put in a room for privacy. Even if I would have like to hold him one last time,I would have had to pick him up and hold him there in the lobby surrounded by other people with their living pets! The only reason that I took him there to be cremated is because I had adopted him from there 15 yrs ago. Now I know why had switched Vets after I had adopted him. Now I can truly say. Very dishonest it is all about the money. $150 for shots and grooming more than doubled to $338 after they examined him. They suggested to us to buy ins when i think they knew Yogi our dog had cancer after the initial examination and would not start doing anything until all $338 were paid. When we went to pick him up 6 hrs later he was worst than we left him not walking properly, not eating or drinking... that was when we were told we should put him to sleep as he has cancer and showed us the tumor. I had a wonderful experience @ Animal Medical Center today. The staff are very friendly & courteous particularly the Doctor. He was patience & thorough. And the price was very reasonable. I couldn't believe how much I paid considering I took my 2 babies. They got all their shots, screening & thorough physical check up. They have been so amazing with my Dachshund Storm. She's get Degenerative Disk Disease, and we had to rush her there in an emergency when her back was spasming and she could barely walk. I had a wonderful experience with Animal Medical Center. I had a dog with pneumonia who had to stay in the facility for a week. The staff was more than accommodating to me, allowing me to visit each day, call with any questions, and never making me feel like I was a bother or anything. And more importantly - they took SUCH good care of my dog. She was happy every time I saw her, and she got better in the timeline the vet said she would. What a scam! I bought a $45 Groupon for shots for my dog and walked out $322.40 later plus the $45 Groupon. All b/c they saw a small red mark on my dogs stomach. They guilted me into a bunch of test that all came back negative. So all that money later no reason for the red mark and the red mark is gone two days later. Seriously! Read Less

i took my baby a 3 yr old german shepherd with a life threatening infection and even though it was a bit pricey for the operation i paid it with a smile on my face just the comfort of knowing that she will be allright is my reward. i admire the whole staff at AMC. i know it's difficult to stay open from early in the morning until late in the evening but pet lovers such as myself really appreciate it. thanks AMC for the wonderful work you perform and thanks for being my babys guardian angel. you have a client for life.
