The staff takes time on the phone to work in my animals and once there office staff is compassionate and friendly. I’ve been going to them for years and even had to have my beloved almost 18 year old cat put to sleep. The staff gave me all the time I needed to say goodbye and let me hold her in my arms as she passed,which was my request. They didn’t make me pay then& billed much later after I received a card acknowledging my grief. Since then I rescued 2sisters as kittens & the amazing vets & staff have been treating them for the past 3 years. Pets are family and finding a fair priced and excellent doctor is rare! NEVER GO THERE! I brung in my 9 wk old Rotty in Feb. for his 1st set of shots it cost me $250., ok I'll deal with that. Then I brung him back in at 12wks for what I thought was his booster & rabies. They took him in the back & came back with him in about 10 minutes & told me I was ready for check out. I paid another $95. just to get home & find out they did the same shots as before. Then I took him in again at 15wks, I was never so upset in my life. 1st- I was sitting in the waiting room & some lady screamed out "who owns the rotty" she came over & said the staff told her to come over & talk to me about socializing & getting my dog in some obience classes because she owns a rotty & she's the foremost expert, yeah right. Come to find out she was only a customer. I don't believe this staff is so unprofessional to tell a customer my business. 2nd- I go in the room some vet tech starts screaming at my dog, trying in her way to get him to play, she was so loud & had him pinned in a corner with her finger in his face that he peed on the floor, which I cleaned up & growled at her. Then she starts berating me on socializing him & that I was going to have a problem when he got older. Lets just say I let her have it. So after all this the vet comes in takes him in the back for yet another round of shots & I had him look at a sore on his back & he told me it was caused be fleas & he even admitted he didn't see any. Anyway at the end it was another $160.00 for yet another round of the same shots & for some medicine for fleas. BOTTOM LINE... save yourself some money & some dignaty. P.S. My dog is socialized with 4 other dogs in my home & my neighbors & friends dogs & as far as being socialized with people he goes with me to work, the grocery store, etc, so he is very social. He just don't want a wanna be vet techs in his face. Also, at 15 wks he can sit, lie down, stay, come, & place (go to his bed) & is completely house broken, so I believe I'm doing just fine on his obience. As far as the fleas, he is on flea prevention & if the vet would have taken the time to look & shave that area down, like I did when I got home & like I wanted the vet to do when I asked him about it, because it's not easy holding a puppy down. I will never take my pet here again. Itook my dog here for an ear infection while staying with friends. They came up with a care plan that spanned out for over 2 months that included laser therapy and an ear flushing which would require anesthesia and consequently blood work to see if he was able to handle the anesthesia. The care plan totalled in over $1000 of treatment. The vet made his own concoction of ear drops and said come back in 2 weeks for the rest of the treatment if not the infection will come return. Well thank God I got a second opinion from an honest vet. Not only did my dog have infections in both ears while this vet only had me treating 1 ear, but my regular trusted vet prescribed drops that came in actual pharmaceutical packaging and not something the vet through together in the back room. These drops cleared the infection completely and there was no need for any further treatment. This guy is either a really bad doctor or crook, either way I suggest going somewhere else! Read Less

Went to vet to get my puppy his first shots in the waiting area this couple had white mixed pit bull and the dog is growling at me and my puppy.the 3 ladies at the desk said nothing ive been going to the vet for years and when u got an aggressive dog u put the dog on an muzzle or u put them in the back. Called ahead with an emergency: our dog was throwing up blood and blood was running out of his rectum. They said to bring him in, then let my wife sit in the waiting room, dog still bleeding all over and making a horrible mess, for 45 minutes! Finally had to give up and took him to another Vet just down the road, who began treatment immediately. We've taken all of our pets to this Vet's office for 15 years, but as of today, this is no longer my pet's vet. Disgraceful and incompetent handling of an emergency by the staff. What a letdown. This is a great vet. They can accommodate on hour emergency needs, are cat friendly and are affordable. They care about your pets! My big chubby cat had a bladder stone, the surgery went well and they didn't stick me with extra costs that you see elsewhere. Great, fast service, friendly staff too! They took great care of my 2 birds who do not like being touched at all! Even gave them a nail trim too! I thought this was going to be impossible! We got in the same day my bird had an accident we only waited a few minutes and that was for the bird vet to arrive only! They kept our birds calm too. They now are their official vet! We called several times on Tuesday so we could bring our dog in due to a severe bathroom problem, it's Thursday and I have not heard back from them. Fortunately we were able to take her to a better vet. We called Westgate, they took her right in at closing time and we will be taking her to Westgate from now on!! Read Less

I've been going to them for four years and I've gotta tell you, this place has gone down hill. The office stinks like pee, they're always running behind and your lucky if you get seen an hour after your appointment, their prices have gotten totally outrageous, and the front desk people are rude and unprofessional. We had to put our dog down on Monday and we asked for a private creamation and his paw print. Four times we asked them to do the paw print. Guess what? We received his ashes and NO paw print!! Called them and they told us we didn't pay the extra "$25" for the paw print and basically Jill called us liars. Now flash back one year and two days when I had to put my other dog down and I received his ashes and paw print and paid the exact same amount as I did this Monday. They're the liars! So because they messed up we cannot ever get his paw print. As Jill told us "oh we're sorry. Obviously their was a miscommunication. We would've gotten the paw print before disposing of his body. " Again my daughter, husband and I told the tech and the desk person FOUR times we wanted the paw print. Certainly wasn't a miscommunication on our part! I have so many complaints about this place. If i could give them no stars as a rating i would, but i can't. For starters, the girls at the front desk are very rude and need a lot of training on how to talk to the paying customers. This place also needs to work on seeing their patients on time and not an hour after their scheduled appointment. So by the time they see your pet they are rushing you out the door because they are so behind. So if you have the entire day to waste sitting in their pee smelling office, then thats the place for you and your pet. I run a 501c3 Senior Dog Rescue and i trust Dr Ernie Blum completely !! More than once we have ran thru the door in need after bringing a new dog into our rescue and he and his staff have been there for us. He's open , honest and compassionate at all times with his clients . Yesterday our family had to say good bye to a much loved family member . Moses was a rescue and had not had an easy life before going to live with my daughter . Yesterday he was let go free of his pain and every staff member showed support and compassion for our loss . Brought my dog in for ruptured anal glands. My first time here. They told me everything was cleaned out and that they had put local anesthesia instead of putting him to sleep because it was going to come close to $400. Told me everything was going to be fine after the procedure. My dog is now bleeding again and when I call they tell me I'm lying! How I declined the procedure and I only paid for an antibiotic! Just got our furbaby home, she had to have emergency surgery yesterday morning, she is now home and resting easy. If it wasn't for Dr. Blum and Janet our baby wouldn't be with us tonight. Once Dr. Blum's suspicions was confirmed he didn't waste anytime, he started surgery right away, he didn't check to make sure we could afford it, heck I am not sure he even had his morning coffee! My friend just called me about her visit with her dog, after she was told nice things about it...and I have to say shame on this hospital. She had her mother pick up her dog after he had to be sedated for X-rays, I know this dog he did not have to be drugged for X-rays. My friend called this hospital and asked for the Dvm to talk to her mother about the X-rays because my friend will be at work at time of pick up. When her mother arrived to pick up the dog he was so drugged he couldn't walk, it took 2-3 men to get him in the car and the doctor said he would not call my friend nor talk to my friends mom about the X-rays. My friend then continued to tell me her dog from 4:00pm this after noon till now 9:30 pm is still heavily sedated to the point her mother has to check to make sure he is still breathing?!? What in Gods name was this hospital thinking?! Letting the dog out of their care like that. My friend is so upset. This is absolutely ridiculous!Read Less
