This vets is fantastic. An excellent and caring place to go. We were extremely impressed when our young dog went in for keyhole spaying. We were talked through everything and the dog was allowed to sit on my knee after she had had her pre-op until she went dozey so that she was not stressed prior to the op. Afterwards I was shown the procedure via the video of the op so I knew exactly what was done. The recovery rate was fantastic - no cones on heads or anything like that - bounced back the very next day ! I would totally recommend this practice. Read Less

Dr. Kahl and staff are awesp,e. They don't try to sell you a bunch of services you don't need. They take great care of your pet. Everyone I know who goes there loves Dr. Kahl. If you need a vet, or are tired of the big clinics, you need to check out Van Dyke Animal Clinic. Read Less

Our 7 year old mini dachshund Apollo was very sick, we took him to the emergency vet and after examination and x-ray- they couldn't determine what was hurting him. He was whining in pain, bloated and having trouble going potty. We made an appointment with the Vet and she got us in quickly & examined him, determined what she thought it was and started him on antibiotics. Within 48 hours he was almost 100% himself again! The staff here are wonderful, fast & knowledgeable. The vet was fantastic, she understood our concerns and we instantly felt our dog was in safe hands. Pros:Close proximity to where I live.Clean facility. Smells nice in the building.And by clean, I mean there isn't hair or other remnants on the floor from the previous pet.Staff were very nice.Cost for services was reasonable.Cons:I didn't really identify any.This was my first time at this clinc. This is a very helpful and friendly animal clinic.  My dog was sick so I brought her in to see the doctor.  It turned out to be nothing; the dog just got into something she shouldn't have.  When I went to pick her up, I expected a huge bill with lots of tests on it.  It wasn't nearly what I expected.  Many other vets would have easily added on plenty of unnecessary tests and procedures to pad the bill.  I truly appreciate not being taken advantage of at a vet because, let's face it, I'll do anything for my baby.
