Doctors and staff are professional, yet in my dog's case, the price tag of $300 per visit every 2 weeks was ridiculous especially once I started to buy some of the medications online for much cheaper. Yes, specialists are more expensive, but they could have helped more with discounts on multiple visits. But, even small animal vets should reward loyalty or if you have them service multiple animals, give at least some discounts, but, alas, like human doctors, why would they ever do that? The regimen of different eye meds to be administered was 2, 3, and 4 times per day. I got sick from sleep deprivation after 2 months of this, not to mention my poor elderly dog's sleep deprivation. No alternatives to the tough regimen were ever suggested, like perhaps multiple drops in the dog's eyes, so I wonder if they were just wanting to collect their "annuity" payments every 2 weeks while I struggled to keep paying for the treatments (to cataracts in both eyes that had grown quickly developing ulcers and inflammation).
