Unfortunately it says they're open until 3 on Sunday's, and we visited around 12:30 and it was closed. Yes it's not fair for me to rate so low based on the quality of the facility, however, it's also not fair for us to visit seeking medical assistance for our pup and it says their open when their not. This place nearly killed my beloved dog. She was unable to breathe and urgently needed to be put into an oxygen chamber. We called ahead to ask if they had one. They said yes. We arrived and they said they couldn't help us and it was too late for my beloved dog... she was going to die. We made it just in time to the Knowles Animal Hospital and since found Dr Robert Prosek who is the foremost animal cardiologist in S.Florida. He saved my dog's life, no thanks to this place. I have three dogs and have been to vets up and down the east coast for over 15 years. Never in my life have I waited for over 30 minutes to have a vet not show up while an unapologetic receptionist asked me asinine questions that are already in my dogs records - like birth dates. The lack of professionalism and overall care for animals is astounding. It is over 90 degrees and no one even bothered to offer my frenchies water as they panted for 30 minutes waiting for a vet who couldn't be bothered to keep an appt.Do not come to this vet. Read Less

Every one from this clinic is fantastic, is almost not real that they are located on the heart of Miami Beach. I have been taking my bull terriers there ever since Dr. Conejos finaly figured out the allergy problems that one of my dogs had after several fail atempts and hundreds of dollars at other veterinary clinics. In addition, they take certificates from the cat network to vaccine and neuter stray cats, (I have taken 7 so far). Overall, Dr. Conejos will put the health and wellbeing of animals over anything else, and I think that is the number one factor for a successful veterinary practice. Read Less

I'm new to Miami, and tried one other vet before a co-worker recommended this vet. I have two cats, one had cancer and the other needed teeth removed. Both of these issues are stressful! The front desk person is very kind whenever we come in, and the vets are very good at communicating the problem, the costs, and about follow-up. Be very careful and make sure you ask questions about every single test or "intervention" they conduct on your pet during a routine visit. They would take millions of swabs and charge you through the nose for tests you didn't ask for, were unnecessary, without even consulting with you. They will then "send you home" with some product and add that to your bill. The lack of transparency is just ridiculous. Been taking all my animals here for years including several dogs I've fostered.  They've always been pretty good until now.  My cat's lip was inflamed and looked infected, so I took her to see Dr. Conejos.  Dr. Conejos called me back and said my cat's inflammation was due to an allergic reaction.  I asked her what could've caused this inflammation, her response was "I don't know, why don't you ask 'her'".   By "her" she meant my cat.  She was incredibly rude and $250+ later, I basically received no valuable information from her, but did however get a nasty attitude from her.  They've lost years of continued business. My kitties have been Greenleaf patients for years. The staff is friendly and they care about animals. They even call a few days later to see how the kids are doing. Unlike other vet offices, you never have to wait more than 5 minutes, just call ahead to make an appointment. I also find their prices very competitive. You receive a detailed written estimate before they begin treatment, and it usually ends up being less, so no ugly surprises. I highly recommend Dr. Conejos and the rest of Greenleaf. Read Less

Can't praise this team enough - after being upsold for years on the beach and getting long waits, huge bills, and semi cold attention to our dog, GLAH was attentive and fair and very upfront about charges. Reasonable fees and no crazy waits. I can't understand why people get into the animal industry if all they're going to do is upsell and charge ridiculous amounts - seems this is the norm on the beach, but would much rather drive a few mins to 41st street and get great care that isn't a 500x markup :) Read Less

After taking my older dog (16 years old) to this animal hospital in May 2013 he has deteriorated to the point where he is almost deaf and no longer recognizes anyone in less than 2 months--possibly due to being sedated for x-rays while under her care. Did not wish to accommodate me in administering an LDDS test (to determine if he had Cushings Disease) in the manner suggested by most Vets--to bring him in at 4 hour intervals (2 of them) in order for him not to be stressed by being there all day and skewing results for this test ... I am one minute away from this hospital. I Asked her to call me and I am still waiting for the call, even though I went into office twice to ask to speak to her or have her call me at her convenience. Thankfully, another area Vet said he would have no problem administering the test this way. This animal hospital is all about the money--no compassion at all. And upon finally speaking with her today she was rude and dispassionate. For anyone out there reading---older animals should not be sedated without a very good reason to do so. i.e. life saving surgery, etc... Our Vets should have a little more compassion with senior animals--thankfully, there are many Vets out there who do. She, however, is not one of them. You would do well to go elsewhere. Read Less

Dr. Alexandra Conejos is an angel! I have been taking my french bulldog to Greenleaf Animal Hospital since I moved to Miami. They are friendly, caring and thorough. A few years ago my poor pup ran out the door and into traffic and was hit by a car at about 20 miles an hour. My heart left my chest and I was out of my mind. I quickly scooped him up and drove to Greenleaf. They immediately took him in, no waiting, and was very patient and caring while they checked him over. Amazingly he was not hurt aside from a few scratches, but no broken bones or concussion or anything else. They took care of my baby like he was their own and helped calm me down as well. I cannot say enough good things about their professional care and concern at a very stressful and scary time. They have an email update system and are thorough at confirming appointments as well. I went to Greenleaf Animal Hospital and was amazed from the moment I first walked into it until the moment I left! The waiting area was beautiful and I was shocked when I walked in that it did NOT smell like dogs it actually smelled Good (I guess I assumed that an Animal Hospital would smell like animals-guess I was wrong). The atmosphere was very relaxed and my puppy seemed to love it. They have the cutest, friendliest hospital cat named Blue that played with me and my puppy while we waited. Dr. Conejos was very friendly and compassionate, she treated me and my puppy like we were very her only clients and also as if we were friends. Dr. C and the entire staff made us feel very comfortable. The staff took their time with us and explained everything that a first time ""mom"" should know. Then they sent us home with a puppy pack full of the information they spoke to us about and also free samples of shampoo, Heartgard, and food. I have already recommended several friends to them, and if you want your pets to receive the best care you will take them to Greenleaf Animal Hospital too!!! Read Less

I have never encountered a Vet as kind and compassionate nor a staff as dedicated anywhere at any time. They can not do enough to make you feel at ease and to make you feel as if your animal is the most important animal in the world.
