Dr. Morales could be more empathetic when it comes to helping put down a loved dog. My family all in tears and my dog extremely sick, the inconsideration and comments made were not empathetic or nice. The visits my dog had before were kind as they were not with Dr. Morales. So if you make an appointment here, I don't think Dr. Morales is the choice to make. Read Less

I took my pregnant dog to the clinic to assist with delivery of puppies. it was the best decision i made for my dog. Doctor assisted my dog in delivering puppies without needing surgery. The staff and doctor were excellent! Everyone is super friendly and professional. Would highly recommend this Veterinary Clinic for your pet. Read Less

I want to start by saying I wasn't new client, I've taken the light of my life athena here from when she was only 2 months old, all the way up to now currently 3 years old. I take full responsibility in to the fact i took her in thinking she had something wrong. Dr. Morales said it was a UTI and sent medicine, however it's 15 days later and she's even worse! i thought as a cat mom, i'm getting a second opinion. Thank god I did. she has stones in her kidney and is now being treated for it! My baby!!!! I'm so glad I caught it early. front desk girls are rude. If i could give negative stars, I would. Ive been bringing my yorkie here for years & they are the BEST! Dr. Morales and his staff are so caring in the office & even after you leave. I've received calls from Dr.Morales himself following up on my dog and his treatments. I no longer live as close as I used to but I will still make the drive to this office anytime my pet needs attention. They are awesome! Read Less

If I could give them negative stars I would! We have been taking our dog here for 3 years, the staff is incompetent, and the doctors ordered tests and prescribed medicine that my dog did not need. I thought we just had bad luck with the few visits we experienced..... wrong! We took our dog to the clinic a month after his rabies shots were due and they reported us to the state, $500 worth of fees and a lien placed on our property without notice. They have terrible communication skills, if they have any at all. We found out about the the lien the year after when we were selling the property. What a hassle, hack, and a sham of an office. They have zero tolerance and compassion for others. Avoid this office at all costs! I’ve been taking my dogs and cats to this clinic since 1977.Over the years the vets have changed but the wonderful standards and service has stayed A+++Dr. Morales is my vet and is excellent in both skill , enthusiasm and ability to explain issues of health concerns in a clear manner. Dr Daubert is fantastic too and he has been there for my pets on many occasions.The office staff and vet techs. are excellent in their knowledge and caring attitude.I do want to single out the office manager Cynthia Colina .she has been there for the last 18 years. One day before hurricane Irma they denied service . I begged them to please take care of my dog and they said they could not because he was not a current patient . All I wanted was for them to update his rabies shot for that I can evacuate to a shelter if need be Animal services was closed and I had been working and preparing for the hurricane . Thankfully I went to Hialeah AnimalClinic and they took care of it . I could not understand why they refused service. I live in the neighborhood and have never been there because one time I had called and their prices were high . I don't recommend this place at all . Read Less

Cynthia and I go back to the early 80s and Palm Springs Animal Hospital that was located on 49th street (NW 103rd St.). When she left there I followed. Took my dog here throughout the last two and a half years of her life. Excellent service; Friendly staff; Knowledgable, Caring Vets; Clean, Peaceful environment. My pet received all the attention her health issues required. We put her to sleep at 14 years of age, due to the perpetual discomfort caused by virtually chronic, degenerative arthritis and muscular atrophy. We appreciate the professional attention & genuine care my dog received, and we'll miss the people and health care professionals at Miami Lakes Veterinary Clinic. Have been going to Miami Lakes Vet since 1988 when it was Huber Animal Hospital. They have brilliantly, excellently and lovingly cared for nine pets of mine - cats and poodles. My husband and I worship Dr. Daubert and although I despise change and was heartbroken when Dr. Huber sold his practice I am very impressed with Dr. Morales from stories Dr. Daubert has told us and will remain if/when the day comes that Dr. Daubert retires which will break my heart. Dr. Morales is an excellent veterinarian. He explains everything very well and follows through very well. I took Cooper there and they said he had allergies charged me $300 then I go back because he has fleas two weeks later which I asked vet he told me no, and they won't sell me the flea medicine without bringing him again to charge me another visitation fee AFTER I called and they said to come get it the vet didn't need to see him. The staff is rude and unhelpful. I will not bring my dogs to this place ever again. Read Less

I called and took my dog there yesterday morning re: toad/frog poisoning. Even though it was my 1st time going there, upon my arrival they took the dog straight to the back and started the treatment of flushing out his mouth (which was done before I left home) and started an IV! The staff was very attentive towards my concern of him surviving, that I was informed of everything that was done for him during this crisis. Dr. Morales and the staff assured me that they would take care of him in every possible way so that he could come home, in which he did. They did a follow up call today to check up on him, which I really appreciated. The place is VERY clean with no pet smell of any source and the staff is AMAZING!!! Great vet! The office is very clean, doesn't smell like other vet clinics, the staff is very friendly, and most importantly, the doctors are very knowledgeable and have lots of experience. I have been taking my 2 dogs to Dr. Morales for quite some years now. He has always been so good to me and my furry girls.  On Wednesday,  I came to the conclusion that it was time to put down my 20 year old poodle, Penny. Through the years, Dr. Morales had treated her and I knew he would tell me this would be the right time. Unfortunately, when I called, I was told Dr. Morales was out for a few days. I ended up seeing Dr. Daubert, whom we had seen from time to time over the years when Dr. M was too busy. Dr. Daubert demonstrated  compassion as he assured me this was best.  I wholeheartedly thank him for that. I see some people here complaining about high prices. I have owned dogs since 1986 and have never found a "bargain" vet. My dogs are family members and while procedures might be expensive,  they are necessary to ensure the well being of our loved ones. My dogs have lived long lives and I like to think it's because I have always provided them with the best care available. I know times are tough for some economically, but I wouldn't hesitate charging a procedure to my credit card or care credit if I knew it would keep my pups healthy.  This place is good. These doctors know their stuff. They are professionals. They may seem cold and distant to some (maybe the expected a pity party),  but remember that it is their job to be composed (unlike the hot mess I often am when my babies are not well)  and have the best interest of animal (not you) at heart. I've never written a review but I can't believe how unprofessional I was treated. I woke up and my 3 month Maltese hadn't stopped throwing up/diareaha. Of course, I was concerned and the nearest Vet that was open was this hell whole. First, I called and notified my situation and they said to come in, I asked around how much and they told me that they will let me know before anything was done. When I got there, the doctor was not there and the front desk kept lying to me telling me he was almost there 45mins later, the vet came in and started telling me that he's very worried that my puppy needs this and this, he ran test without telling me how much the test would be, and shortly after his vet tech came with a $3,000 treatment plan. At this point, I asked if he could help me out because I am a student and really couldn't afford that. He than told me my puppy could die if I didn't start treatment immediately. As I was there I had a friend that used to work there that texted me back and told me to get out of there that they are rip offs and don't care about animals. I wished I knew this sooner because that's exactly how I felt. They just wanted my money! I work and study in medicine and that isn't the way to treat people and their loved ones. While I was checking out, the good person that I am was willing to pay for the diagnostics that were run even though they were done without my consent! Asked to pay for half and that I'll mail in the rest next month ($277 for diagnostics) she said okay and asked for the test results because I still had to get my puppy care but didn't want to be charged for diagnostics elsewhere again. After paying the manager she told me that she couldn't provide me with that, she was extremely rude, screaming at me in front of waiting room. I left saying I was never paying the rest of the bill and that I was going to write this review. By the way I got my puppy the help she needed for $500 (diagnostic and over night stay for observation just in case, turned out she just ate something that she made her stomach sensitive, something usually in small you breeds) Stay away form this horrible, money sucking office! All this vet does is take your money. They run exams that are not necessary. They don't do the right exams in order to take your money and say that you need to do more exams to find the answer. I actually moved to the area and needed to take my dog to the vet ... After checking YELP and the good reviews they had under Miami Lakes Vet. clinic I decided to give it a try .... Dr.Morales recommended immediate surgery for my older dog the first time he saw him ...My baby survived the anesthesia and so far he is good ! I'm so thankful for DR.Morales and the staff .... The surgery was pricey but it was something that had to be done . My pet also needed to get flee medicine but instead of the doctor selling me a bunch of medicines /pills he recommended me "home care "options because my dog is an older baby and his health comes first .... I've have been seeing Dr. Morales for a little over a year and he has been great. He is very quick and let's you know things right away and I don't feel that he is after your money. He gives you options and answers all of your questions. I feel very comfortable and confident that my little girl Sadie is in good hands. I actually just dropped her of to be spayed this morning. The staff is so nice and professional, and I find myself calling them randomly asking them for advice. I would definitely recommend Miami Lakes Vet to any new or old dog owners. I'm very happy I found a place where I don't get surprise charges added to my bill. And you can tell the doctor really cares for the well being of you animal. Read Less

I actually went here for the first time this past Tuesday 4/2 and took in my baby for a wellness checkup. I actually liked the office and the staff. The office was a little outdated, but very clean. The staff was serious, but courteous and very pleasant. The office was not that busy, which is good. The doctor came in to check on little Ace and he was very professional, polite and informative - yet, very quick. I was probably there about an hour. Overall, my experience was great. The only reason why I am giving 4 stars is because I feel like there is always a way to make people feel comfortable and not as rushed, but as stated before, overall, it was a good experience - then again, I have never been to a vet before :) Read Less

We took our cat this morning because she was ill. The nurse that attended us was very nice and attentive. The doctor however I feel was not professional at all. He didn't even introduce himself; I found his name on receipt (Dr. J. Darrell Daubert).  He stated "I'll look at him real quick" and sounded as if he didn't care for our pet. He advised of what the cat could possibly have but gave no further advice. He simply said "I'll let you guys discuss it. I have other patients."I did not feel as if he truly cared about my pet. Office offer a great and quick service CHARGING YOU but....I took my dog to the clinic because she breathes heavely without aparent reason. After Dr. Morales saw her he ordered a blood test and explained to me that if the results were OK, then a possible hearth problem would be the cause.He told me that he would call me AS SOON as the results were available to define was was the plan to follow....that was on Sept-6th..it is now Sept-10 and he hasn't call me...the blood test results were ready on Sept-7th and ONLY because we called the office we knew about them....However, the young girl that assisted him during my visit was EXCELLENT. Dr. Daubner is the BEST, absolutely love him! He makes you feel at ease, explains everything to you AND your furry friend.. he has been the family vet for about 6 years now, he has been outstanding... he truly cares. Dr Morales provides care for my cats and he's extremely upbeat and compassionate. He is very thorough and you just feel that he cares and feel that your pet is in the best hands when under his care.
