460$ for a colon constipation, but they said was a serious spine problem. 2 unnecessary X rays series and unnecessary painkiller shots and unnecessary antiemetics drops. But wait, because they also wanted me to bring the dog to their clinic every week for a painkiller shot, forever, 'cause the spine was compromised. I immediately brought the dog to another vet... He saw the x rays, said the dog was just fine, he just needed more fibers. I was a costumer for 4 years, only because of Margaret. Even the receptionists are mean and rude. Friendly, experienced staff made my dog and me very comfortable. Walking ins welcome and the wait wasn't too long on either visit. I did have sticker shock but my dog had unusual symptoms that needed extensive blood testing and several injections. Read Less

I do agree with Laura Escobar the receptionist over the phone is so Rude and doesn't know how to answer the phone. Please your guys are running a business right? I have called this morning for some informations. She was so rude that I have ask for a supervisor she just hanged up on me. Hopefully the owner will see this and do something. Read Less

Melissa and Jonathan are great. I used to go to VCA Animal Hospitalin Brickell. My cat started coughing shortly after I adopted another cat. She is an indoor cat and never had any health issues, so it was very clear that she had contracted some sort of virus from him, but rather than starting off small with something like an antibiotic or antihistamine, VCA strongly recommended X-rays and blood work. When I said I wasn't prepared to pay a $550 vet bill that day and asked if they had any medication we could start with, they gave me an antibiotic. She only got worse. I came back and decided to go with the X-rays, which came back normal aside from what appeared to be a small infection in her throat. They then recommended blood work, which also came back normal. $600 later, they wanted to send out more blood for allergy testing, another $300. Meanwhile my cat was getting worse. They gave me another round of antibiotics and prednisone, which even I thought seemed a bit extreme to give a cat a harsh steroid that's really hard on their livers. So I opted to get a second opinion. Melissa and Jonathan at Adams vet said it just sounded like a common virus and she should NOT be on prednisone and to take her off immediately. They gave me an antihistamine, which they said they would have started off way before suggesting X-rays and blood work. After two days on the antihistamine her cough completely cleared up. VCA was a total waste of money and time, and ultimately was a harm to my cat and her health. I'll be bringing my cats to Adams Vet on 79th Street from now on! Read Less

I went to this vet because, it was recommended by a friend. She said they didn't charge for unnecessary things and that it wasn't expensive. I called to ask for the price of a check up for rabbits and was quoted $35 so, I went. When I left I was charged $94 dollars. Big difference. When the vet checked the rabbit's ears he "noticed some crust." I was looking at the q-tip and it looked as clean coming out of the rabbit's ears as it did in its box. And I was charged for the ear cleaning. Then he did a poop exam which, was fine and I was charged but that seems reasonable. What I don't understand is why he gave the rabbit de-worming medicine, which I was charged for, if the poop test came back negative for parasites. Make sure that when you call about a check up they explain exactly what's included in the check up. I ended up paying close to triple of what I expected for a perfectly healthy rabbit. Read Less

Dr. Allen saved our cat's life after his intestines were blocked by a massive hairball. I am so thankful the doctor did everything possible to avoid surgery and once under the knife he managed to removed the blockage without removing his intestine. We won't ever go to another place. Read Less

Took my dog  on 12/5 for she kept scratching her hind leg. Two to three days later I noticed her left eye was closed when I carefully opened her eye I noticed she had mucus. Took her back on 12/16 was charged $163 this time 176$ was never given any.paper work on what injections they gave her. Long long story short. She's never had problems with her eye. I was never told what their doing yo her . Almost 490 $ and by patina and home remedies she's doing better thank God. Would never ever recommend this awful place. Read Less

While we have had good experiences with the veterinarians we took my 17 pound dog to be euthanized and were charged three times the average price. If I were to do it again we would've taken him to the Humane Society where pricing is normal!Read Less

I use to like this clinic because my dog was very comfortable with the vet; however, that changed about 1 or 2 weeks ago. So I left my dogs to board at this place for 2 nights and they went ahead and performed services on them without informing me first. I have NO problem paying for shots/services if my dog requires it in order to board at their place; however, NO ONE informed me that they were going to do it. When I confronted the two receptionists the day I went to pick my dogs up and saw the HUGE BILL, they both LIED to my face and said they had told me, which is false because I wasn't even the one that dropped my dogs off. When I called them out on their lie, they said they had called "someone" on the phone, which is a complete fabrication. FIRST of all, the person that dropped them off would never have allowed anything to be done to my dogs without my consent since I am the one that is paying; AND if I would've been notified of how much it would cost me for 2 nights of boarding, i would have not even bothered to leave both dogs. Not only do these people lie to my face, one receptionist literally starts yelling at me and contradicting me on THEIR LIE. I am always polite and pleasant with others ESPECIALLY if they are dealing with my dogs, but these ladies were really rude without any provocation. Anyway, in addition to all that, the receptionist and tech BOTH FAILED to notify me at the time of my departure that my dog's meds were at the front desk. When I called to complain, they AGAIN lied and denied any wrong doing. I asked them to please mail it to me since I live really far from them and it was THEIR fault that I left the meds...it's been two weeks and I have yet to receive the meds that I paid for. I literally spent more than $1600 on both my dogs these past few months and would have continued to be a customer, but they suck. Seriously, I was disheartened by the whole way I was treated without provocation. I traveled over 40 minutes on car with my dog (who HATESSSS car rides) to this place because I WAS a loyal customer...NOT ANYMORE. They forever lost a customer. Read Less

I have been taking my Italian Greyhounds there since I started rescuing them over 20 years ago! Dr Fusco has been all of my boys Vet the entire time. I him and the ladies at the Front Desk.... and the Vet Techs (especially his main male tech) are amazing and I trust completely. Read Less

Moved to Miami recently and have been bringing my 2 dogs to their location. Very happy with the staff the girls in the front are really sweet, the techs know what their doing and the doctors are really kind. Definitely recommend this animal hospital to anyone looking for a good vet. Read Less

I had the Fusco brothers take care of my dogs for years and years. My dog Chocolate had to be put to sleep under the care of Dr Larry Dee in Hollywood, Fla. Being a Cocker Spaniel, he developed thyroid problems partially because of his age. Larry Dee never offered to run tests which could've prevented his weight from increasing. He got disc disease and loss the use of his legs. To avoid any more suffering, I put him to sleep, which was the kindest thing I could've done for him. Dee wanted to do more surgery. And guess what? Maybe he thought I didn't have the money to do testing??? well, guess what. I did. Travel if you have to. Make sure your pets keep the Fuscos. They are the best in Dade and Broward Counties. Took my same dog here for 15 years. When she was ready to be put down the staff and doctors showed no compassion. It was a shock to me that ppl could be so so cold. I would never recommend this clinic again. Please stay away, they're only concern is money. Read Less

I called this Veterinarian on a Sunday night after my dog was bit by another dog. I asked him to give me an estimate of how much could it cost. Without hesitation he said it will start at at least $400 and right after he told me that it was cash only and to be sure and stop at a ATM machine before coming in. Like WTF??  He showed no signs of actually caring for my dog but my pocket instead. I always heard bad reviews from other dog owners at the park but since it was the first place that populated in yelp I thought I give him a call. Do not take your animals here. They fail to find a string on my cats throat that eventually ended up killing her. They gave her vitamins because she was throwing up. I took my cat to a hospital 2 days after the clinic and they found the string on her throat. It was tangled on her intestines already. I had to put my cat to sleep. ADAM's CLINIC FAILED TO HELP MY CAT. They only cared to charge $300 for vitamin shots. My cat died. They didn't help.Read Less

They are awesome! Saved my Romeo's life 2x. Affordable and friendly. I have no idea what the other reviewer is talking about with the spanish. I never even heard any one speak spanish here. Thank you all at the clinic for taking in a deceased kitten yesterday. I'd found the kitten while walking my dog just two blocks away. The kitten was unfortunately lifeless. It looked as if it was in the path of a hummer-like vehicle. I will post the picture here, or attach it in a message to you. The antecedents to this kitten's death are unforgivable: not neutering/spaying, and overzealous driving. Thanks to Adams Vet Clinic for allowing me to take the little guy there for some belated TLC. I recently rescued a stray kitten that was injured and took her to Adams Veterinary Clinic and saw both Dr Michael & Dr Allen Fusco.The Drs and their staff were great and I know we kept them very busy since several people were all concerned about this little kitten.Dr. Fusco performed kept me very well informed and ended up performing surgery on the kitten's broken leg and tail.  He must have done a great job because the kitten is recovering extremely well and it's only been a week.Don't let the modest environment fool you.  Dr Fusco and Adams Veterinary Clinic is a top notch care center for your pets and pretty reasonably priced, too.  I use to live in Aventura and took my own cats to Aventura Animal Hospital and paid quite a bit more for similar care.
